Tactical role-playing title Banner of the Maid finally has a confirmed release date: August 12th, 2020. It will cost $16.99 in North America.
Set during the French Revolution and starring Pauline Bonaparte, sibling of the famous Napoleon Bonaparte, the game mixes real-life characters and events with fantasy trappings.
Pauline is a newly-graduated member of an illustrious military academy who, like her brother, dreams of bettering herself and becoming part of France's upper class. She is dragged into the revolutionary war and must use her tactical smarts to overcome a series of skirmishes, each more challenging than the last.
Banner of the Maid was developed by Chinese firm CE-Asia, which is also handling publishing duties.

Boob jokes aside, the game looks decent enough.
I never understood the fantasy armor trope of people going in battle like they're barbarians. I'd cover every inch of myself, haha.
Finally, a game that draws attention to the back problems that used to plague Marie Antoinette. The poor woman used to carry such... heavy burdens.
Good Game. Been alternating this and Paper Mario on my commute. Fun if you like these types of games.
Also lets you manual save at any point (even in battles) if you set it in settings (or select "suspend" that saves at any point before closing the game out) So it is very on the GO friendly.
Love when a game's art cover looks sexy as hell, and then you open it and it's the cutest cartoon art.
@mlj11 Such are the problems when you have huge... tracts of land.
China + Napoleon + boobs = a strangely good looking tactical RPG?
I was assuming this'd be just another poor fanservice game but the trailer makes this one look very legit and at first glance it looks more Fire Emblem than the actual modern Fire Emblem is. I'm definitely curious.
The character art isn't exactly my kinda thing , but the game actually looks rather legit? I'm very intrigued.
The question remains: Is the final boss a big, scary dragon?
@Kalmaro It dates back to ancient times, during tribal conflict where armor didn’t exist. Still, even those guys went in with hide shields, so yeah, it still doesn’t make sense in games. But, HP solves everything lmao
@TG16_IS_BAE Kinda like those games where you're basically in a thong but it has more armor than your plate mail, because anime.
@Kalmaro Hey, it’s because I maxed out light armor and got all the perks, so my socks give +1000 AC.
Echoing the sentiments of previous posters in that this actually could fill a rather neglected niche, and no that's not a euphemism (...) lol
We see very few games that can toe the line of being historically grounded (at least nominally) yet can also fit in the tropes we like to see in Advance Wars and Fantasy Tactics.
I have way to much srpg's on the switch. Fire Emblem, Langriser, Wargroove. Next this game?
If it is a good Fire Emblem substitute, then sure, why not?
The fanservice looks quite tame and the bustiers actually look quite historically accurate
Everyone talking about the gorgeous, voluptuous females. Me, I'm more impressed about how they turned Napoleon into a hunk.
Seems interesting. Thanks for sharing.
The Maid? I think it was meant to be a Joan of Arc game, but the boobs made them changed the character to avoid conflict with the church.
I think the Tactical part of the game is moving your character around without knocking people over because of your big big umm melons.
Bodice busting eh? Couldn't receive higher praise!
They overspent their boob budget and then couldn’t afford a nose for any of them
I’ll hold out for the inevitable physical release. This has been on my radar for some time now so whats another few months for a LRG announcement.
Not enough hentai, pass.
Competent strategy Game with an intriguing story featuring a bevy of buxom babes?! B-b-b-b-brilliant!
was anyone able to find this on the eshop? i cant find it in North American Eshop
