Re: It's Official, SEGA Is Buying Angry Birds Maker, Rovio

NatiaAdamo

@Dpullam Sure, it's not as big as it once was, but it still makes bank. Some reports say that this deal will pay for itself in as little as two years.

@TotalHenshin Considering Rovio turned down an offer worth $800 Million from another mobile developer, something tells me that Sega offered something much more than money for the deal. Semi-Independence like with other Sega of Europe studios?

Remember that not only will Sega own Angry Birds, but have over 500+ well trained developers and a massive boost to their revenue. They could easily make their money back in as little as two years. Also, this further boosts Sega of Europe's development power, as nearly all the companies SegaSammy has bought since the merger in 2004, have been for SoE. (Other than Atlus and TMS)

Re: Talking Point: Why Are So Many Remasters Sub-Par At Launch?

NatiaAdamo

@DrDoctor It's quite sad that so any great games have lost their original code to the sands of time so quickly after their first release. You would think that it would be harder for purely digital code to be lost as easy as film or TV, but alas. Having the original code is the exception, not the rule.

I would also like to say that Atlus is a bit on and off about good remasters. Persona 4 Golden and SMT3 are good examples of remasters, but then you have Persona 3 Portable (Which isn't terrible, but couldn't they at least try to fuse Portable and FES together than just re-releasing a handheld port?)

@Bizzyb Also the Sam and Max remasters of the Telltale series. (Though do take the reviews of Save the World with a grain of salt, as some make mountains out of anthills with the developers recasting one character and changing like 8 or 9 jokes.)

Re: Pizza Tower Is Giving Us Serious Wario Land Vibes On PC And Now We Knead It On Switch

NatiaAdamo

For those who are wondering, it's made in Game Maker Studio, like Undertale, Hotline Miami, etc. So it's quite easy for it to be ported over. That being said, Pizza Tower Guy/McPig/Tour De Pizza, has no current plans for a port for Switch or any other systems outside of Steam.

@EarthboundBenjy I recommend looking up AntonBlast, it's MUCH more in line with Wario Land (Especially 4). While it isn't out yet, it has been confirmed for a Switch release in 2023.

@DimBeau Yes. He's the boss of the third world.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Management And Tycoon Games

While I can recommend Two Point Hospital on Steam, console versions aren't fully recommended. Sure, it runs good and the console controls are well done; but the problem is that for it being "Jumbo", it's missing 3 of the 7 expansion pack DLCs. There aren't any current plans to bring the DLCs over anytime soon, as they are currently working on the DLCs for Two Point Campus; so do keep this in mind. (That and TPH on Steam allows you to add your own personal music into the game, mixing it in with the radio DJs)

Re: Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered Announced For 2023

NatiaAdamo

@N00BiSH To be honest, while I don't mind the changes, the do come off a bit flat compared to the stuff they were replacing. Not bad, but it was clear that they didn't have time to refine the jokes.

For example, here's how I would rewrite one of the jokes of episode 1: "This will clear a room faster than the aftermath of Stinky's 47 Bean Burrito Bonanza!"

Re: 75% Of Public Comments On Microsoft's Acquisition Of Activision Were Positive

NatiaAdamo

@Tott It's more so of Activision's and Blizzard's VAST back catalog of titles that they can put on Game Pass. If the merger goes though, Microsoft can basically double the number of permanently available games on Game Pass in a single day.

Personally, if it was up to me, I would let the merger happen, but force Microsoft to spin-off a number of studios to allow the deal to go though.
