Re: Funko Eager To Produce Nintendo-Themed Pop Figures

Moon

Self proclaimed 'nerds'/'geeks' buy them. They don't realise nor care that they're mass produced tat.

Always bugs me a bit when I go round a mates and they have Pop figures, lol. I do, however, understand that I'm just a miserable fool.

If they make people happy then so be it.

Re: Talking Point: Amazon's Efforts To Tempt Gamers Show Why We Need Dedicated Games Consoles

I've never really thought about it before, but a device that can stream games could potentially be really cheap... as all it needs to do is stream data to and from their servers, right? I can imagine seeing an advert for a gaming device that wows with its awesome graphics to then reveal a super cheap price of £100, or whatever.

Thing is though you'd always need an internet connection. I don't think we're quite there yet. I know WiFi is everywhere and everyone has their mobile internet but is it just too unreliable and laggy to be viable?

I can see it taking off someday but I don't think I'm on board just yet.

Re: Talking Point: Come In Nintendo 3DS, Your Time Is Up

Moon

I think it's dangerous for Nintendo to put all their eggs in one basket with the Switch.

They would be wise to launch a new DS, or a powerful not portable Switch for exclusively home use. Whatever they do, I hope they don't fluff it up.

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Not Excited About Playing NES Games On The Nintendo Switch

Moon

I think most Nintendo loyalists have these games elsewhere, probably multiple times.

Everybody else probably doesn't even care about the NES.

I think we're all in agreement that Nintendo need to step it up a bit. I'll try the free 7 day trial, but might just not bother subscribing and using my Switch to play Fortnite for now. (as it's free)

Re: Players Have Had Enough Of Fortnite's "Unplayable" State On Switch, Send Plea To Epic Games

Moon

I've played over 300 hours on the Switch, almost exclusively handheld.

The game is still completely playable.

For some reason, the latest update has lowered the resolution. It's needlessly fuzzy... I hope they sort it out, but it's not unplayable by any means.

What Switch owners should be moaning about is the lack of a career tab. I have like 200 solo wins, and I'd really like to not have to tally my own wins.

Re: Battle Royale Newcomer Crazy Justice Will Support "Splatoon-Style Motion Controls"

Moon

Crazy Justice: [Uphill] Battle Royale. It'll never topple Fortnite, but no harm in trying I guess. Going free to play will help. I'll try it out if it's free. It looks pretty naff in the videos I've seen... and changing the release date and stuff with very little-to-no updates just makes them seem a bit amateur, imo.

In regards to motion controls, I'm all for them. However, I do think that games should matchmake with your control method in mind. People with motion controls play with other people using them. Keeps things fair. (This bugs me about Fortnite and Splatoon, as I CBA with motion controls but feel like I am at a disadvantage.)
