I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd much rather a Steam deck than a Switch these days. I can't afford one right now anyways so this doesn't bother me too much.
I felt the game had lost its soul compared to New Leaf, so I stopped playing a long time ago. I will likely never buy another game in the series... Life's too short!
When sales start to slow they will kick out another console. That's usually what happens, right?
I'm likely gonna stick to PC games and VR from now on. Will always be interested in what Nintendo do, but won't blindly buy their hardware like in the past.
@thinkhector fair enough mate. I'm certainly glad the Switch has YouTube, but in my experience it crashes a lot, almost every time I use it. And you can't even link your phone to it. I think it's safe to say that objectively it is the worst version of YouTube on current generation machines.
Honestly, as much as I love Nintendo, I won't be paying for their NSO anymore. Not even their entry level. PC is free and has more games, not to mention the framerate differences. And emulation. But, I will still buy the odd single player game. BOTW 2 definitely, but other than that there's not a lot to look forward to, for me.
I love always having something interesting to investigate.
If I'm bored, I can decide "hey, lets get the PS2 out and finally finish Dark Cloud', or one of the many other hundreds of games I've got kicking about.
Maybe it's because I've been spoiled with the Binding of Isaac but this game just didn't feel like there was enough content for a rogue like. At least for me.
I think the game plays at best a 7/10. The aesthetic, vibe and music however are legendary imo. I think nostalgia will have a large part to play in whether or not you'll be buying this.
I'll wait for a sale as I've got a lot on my plate atm. Getting this for sure though, eventually.
I think she perhaps wasn't the best fit for Zelda. The guy doing King Rhoam is also awful, possibly even worse than Zelda. If we're talking Age of Calamity though, I'd say there are probably more bad VAs than good. Hestu is so unbelievably hard to listen to.
I think they kinda knew it was bad and that's why they gave us the option to choose. Probably, lol.
I appreciate the idea of freebies but it would be nice if they could put some stuff up for other games. I think there's only been Smash and Kirby things so far.
I don't think the industry needs this sort of event, honestly. I wouldn't watch the Oscars or whatever either, though. Make a good product and I'll probably buy it.
So I won't be tuning in. If there's new Nintendo games then that'd be nice, but no real need to watch their show for it. I'm sure they'll be on YouTube too. Oh, and here on NL, lol.
I won't be getting it because I'm just not a fan of the game. But there is a part of my brain that's like... 'but that game will be rare one day' so hats off to Nintendo for once again creating artificial scarcity. Still a no from me.
To the 'haters': I'd let the guy police himself. I'm sure he's got family and stuff that can give advice on things.
To the gamer guy: So long as you know what you're doing carry on. As I'm sure you're aware, speed runners often spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours on single levels. I love your dedication to something I'll never have the time to do.
Build your community, it could even become your job. Good luck mate.
I won't be buying this game on Switch despite wanting it. I already own Doom 64. If I don't get a physical copy, then I might as well play it for 'free' on Gamepass. Saves me £50.

It was bad enough for me to jump ship.

Another bland, boring Pokemon game. Shock.
Re: Steam Deck, Valve's Switch-Like Handheld PC, Gets Pushed Back To 2022

Re: Soapbox: Even If GTA Trilogy Were Perfect, I'd Rather Be Shooting Balloons And Burying Gyroids
I don't usually comment on things like this but I'm so close to unfollowing NintendoLife. This is getting hard to read.
Re: Doug Bowser Comments On The Battle Against Joy-Con Drift, Says Nintendo Are Making "Continuous Improvements"
@sixrings My Gamecube, Dreamcast and PS2's sticks still work and I got a lot more use out of them than my Pro Controller.
I know everything is prone to breakage eventually, but Nintendo are really taking the cake here.
Re: Doug Bowser Comments On The Battle Against Joy-Con Drift, Says Nintendo Are Making "Continuous Improvements"
I don't know how they've done it but even their Pro Controllers are prone to drifting after time.
Boo. I'll buy something else instead.
Re: Watch: This Is What Grand Theft Auto Definitive Trilogy Looks Like On Switch

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D To Be Temporarily Removed From The 3DS eShop
Honestly, I wouldn't bother with the 3DS version. The framerate is absolutely shocking.
Re: Gallery: Rockstar Shares First Screenshots Of The GTA Trilogy For Nintendo Switch
As much as I wanted this landmark release on Switch, I'll be picking it up on PC. I won't even bother with the physical edition now either.
Big let down in my opinion, but at least Nintendo fans still get to play this time!

Imo, most games on Switch have been a let down.
The Switch is even crap for YouTube.
Re: Guh-Huh! Grant Kirkhope Has Released A Banjo-Kazooie Remix Album
I prefer the originals which I think is fair to say, but these aren't bad. Perhaps after a few listens they'll grow on me.
Still, remixes by the original composer are always welcome. More the merrier
Re: The Binding Of Isaac: Repentance Arrives On Nintendo Switch This Week
Fell in love with Rebirth on 3DS, Afterbirth+ on Switch and I decided to get Repentance on PC. At least I'll never need to buy a new system.

I wouldn't have passed my exams without it. 30/10. Essential software for your Nintendo.

Love 3 and 4, but World and Generations weren't for me. I will probably just wait for the G-rank variant.
Re: Plants Vs. Zombies Could Pave The Way For Bigger And Better EA Frostbite Titles On Switch
It would have been a lot easier and I imagine more financially beneficial to just release the original.

I only want the original, but happy for those that want this.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll download it.
Played thru Doom 1, 2 & 64 very recently so I may wait a bit but I'll grab it now in case it's delisted for whatever reason.
Re: Video: Check Out Hitman 3's Moody Opening Cinematic
It's a shame there's no 'downgraded' physical game, because I'd have been interested then.
Re: EA Has Swooped In To Steal Codemasters From Under The Nose Of Take-Two
Not good lads. Not good. I have loved Team17 and their games for almost 30 years. One of the most prolific British companies.
Without their independence I can't see them lasting long. Or at very least, see myself buying any more of their games.
Boooo!
Re: Random: Disgruntled Fans Spam Nintendo Tweet In Response To YouTube Soundtrack Takedowns
I don't understand why Nintendo don't upload all their OSTs to YouTube themselves, and make money from it.
Then everybody would be happy?
If they have no intention of putting their music out there then this really is a dick move on their part.

CBA to find them in your list but Duke Nukem 3D and Doom 64.

Re: Scott Pilgrim VS. The World: The Game – Complete Edition Pushed Back To 2021
A shame for sure but at least we've got a release date! ...and the prospect of a physical? Nice. Guess I'll be double dipping with this one on Switch.

Re: Watch Out, Europe - Importing Consoles From The U.S. Just Got A Lot More Expensive
That sucks. I guess I won't be buying any more Limited Run games, lol. Not that I can really afford them anymore anyway, even before the crazy tax.
Guess I'll just be buying my stuff locally. Tesco it is, boys!
