Honestly I would have been more excited if the announcement was that they've paid for the rights to Sonic 3's music.

Don't mean to be cynical but this seems really uninteresting. To me at least.

I echo the sentiments that these video games are indeed priced way above an agreeable level.

Who else remembers what things were like during the 3DS/Wii U era? Never thought I'd see this.

I spent about 600 hours on New Leaf, and about 200 on Horizons.

Unfortunately I'm a bit bored of it now. Hoped it would spark that love that I once had but meh.

I've heard it's gonna be Generations 2 which would be alright. Safe bet.

Mania 2 with completely new levels (not relying on the classics) would be awesome.

Adventure 3 would be epic but I don't believe they have the talent available to pull it off.

But what I'd really want is (obviously not going to happen) is the original trilogy remade in HD. (Like that Sonic 2 HD mod that never happened)

Heck, I'd take a straight port of Sonic 3. That's not going to happen either though.

Fully expecting something along the lines of Sonic Forces. yawn

There's a few FMV games from my childhood that I like for nostalgic reasons (Sewer Shark, Night Trap, Road Avenger)... but they were even a bit crappy back then.

Unfortunately when I see live action in a video game (besides Resi 1) I am instantly turned off.

So basically his 'retirement' was a way to avoid the hate from Nintendo fans? He clearly hasn't retired.

I'd settle for 1-4 HD on Switch. A brand new game would require a lot of effort and a talented team. I'd be waiting on reviews, obviously.

A shame. I remember this game getting a lot of attention back when it was being crowd funded. Maybe people will learn to just wait till projects finish until they part with their cash.

As a returning player, NH may feel quite bare bones.

That said, I'm about 150 hours in now and last night I booted up New Leaf to copy my town song.

The music in NL is much better imo, but not being able to pick/place things in your town is a major bummer.

Both games are great.

This scheme had so much potential. I doubt there are many people logging on to get those points these days.

Mobile gamers don't strike me as the sentimental type. One less mobile game isn't really a bad thing anyway.

My gf loves these types of games but could identify this game sucks based on its eShop trailer.

You don't get to build anything. It's not even as impressive as some of the FPS modes in her tycoon games.

Crafting lamps and town fixtures is great.

Crafting tools is frustrating and boring.

Honestly, and I know I'll get hate for this but REmake 2 & 3 suck. Go back to the original gameplay or eff off.

They need to make one Manila clam craft at least x10 bait, completely cut out the crafting animation.

The game feels a bit rushed imo.

If this event is anything like the last one, I may have to just quit the game. Life is too short.

How is taking out cross play 'improving the experience'?

I like Y-L but I couldn't help comparing it unfavourably to B-K. I commend the efforts though. B-K probably had more people working on it.

I hate to say it but New Horizons just isn't as fun as New Leaf.

Where's all the content?

I just spent hours getting the gold fishing trophy and still didn't get all the gear. It's an exercise in pure frustration.

And the music is completely forgettable.

After playing the demo I can only conclude that the game is a disaster.

The game looks nice in pictures but runs horribly... But worst of all... you walk at a snails pace.

Jeez, life's too short. And why the heck is it like £53 on the eShop? Honestly? What a massive rip off.

The game feels really empty compared to New Leaf. Where are all the shops? Please tell me Tortimer is somewhere to be unlocked. It's very pretty, but majorly lacking imo. I'm 100 hours in and I fear I've unlocked everything. Oh and where have the bananas and stuff gone? Seriously?

Returning players would do well to wait and see if this stuff gets added later if you ask me.
