It is a bit sad as I think there's an argument to be made that it's better than SMM2.

Must be costing them more to keep it running than the game is making them? Perhaps they're trying to push those last few people to get a Switch?

I've been waiting for this to come back on the eShop for some time. I want this so bad. Does anyone know how long it's going to be till it's relisted? I've tried reaching out to the devs but no reply.

One of my favourite genres. Is this already out on other systems? If it reviews well, I'll be grabbing it.

The Switch is lacking in TD games imo. Love Defense Grid 2, but most other TD games I've picked up (there aren't many) haven't been great.

I'm playing throught it now and it's not bad. Not great either, though? Anyway, what amazes me is how it still plays just like Dynasty Warriors 2 did back in the day.

I've already got one that size and it cost me only about £30 during an amazon sale.

Well, I guess it surprises nobody that Nintendo have like, 9 out of the top ten games. I hope that third party games are selling well too.

How is this game actually doing? My girlfriend deleted it shortly after downloading and she's a big fan of the series.

I actually think time travelling ruins the game. I'd be playing the game normally and my girlfriend was TT'iing, all my friends were too. I go to their towns and then they go to mine and think I'M the n00b!

I'm only being half serious. I do think it wrecks the game's spirit, though and I'll actually be bowing out of the series from here on. I'll just take my memories and leave. Hope everyone else continues to enjoy it though.

But a bit of a prediction: The next game in the series won't sell anywhere near the same numbers.

On the bright side, at least I don't have to buy it now? My collector side of me wanted to get it, as I have DOOM 2016.

The voice acting in BOTW in general is pretty bad, but Zelda takes the cake. How is she getting MORE voice work!? Baffling.

I'm not saying it's not a thing, but I don't know anyone that's hacked their Switch. Back in the day though, I knew lots of people with flash carts for the DS.

I'll echo people's sentiments above, that I'd much rather Nintendo sorted out the Joy Con drift. At least then I could play my pirated games properly. I'm just kidding!

Last EA game I bought was... ummm... I don't even remember. I think I recall it having a weird cartridge, though.

I think it looks fantastic. I love everything these guys have done so far, and I'm very much excited to get my hands on this.

I hope they've worked some magic into how the game controls, though. I imagine they have.

But why no Turok 3? That game needed remastering more than any of the original trilogy. I'm assuming it's because it didn't sell well to begin with.

I think these guys should do Tomb Raider 1 - 3. Square won't do it, so they should pitch it to them. (please!)

@hakjie11 I refuse to buy any more of them. Mine are drifting, my girlfriend's drift... heck, even my pro controller drifts! Nintendo's quality isn't what it used to be that's for sure.

As much as I love Nintendo, I hope they lose this one. Big time.

Never tried them but I've just finished Turok, Duke 3D and Doom '93. Hopefully this'll scratch this consistent itch I seem to have for retro shooters.

Bit crazy how there's a vaccine already. There's no vaccine for AIDS, for example and that has been around for a long time with LOTS of money and research put into it. Not too keen on that tbh.

Funnily enough it kinda looks like a game you'd used to get on a Sky box.

I imagine most Switch owners haven't played Pikmin 1 or 2, so may be put off by jumping in on the third entry? Would be nice to have the originals on the eShop, but I just know they'd get the pricing wrong.

You've gotta hand it to them, they're killing it. Though, I can't see the momentum staying exactly where it is unless they've got some great unannounced games at the ready.

@chipia I think the problem is a mixture of the user created levels usually being of a low quality compared to Nintendo's own, but also the controls just aren't as good. The Wii U's resistive touch screen was perfect for creating levels in the game, and while the Switch can do it just fine... it's not quite as user friendly, you know?

But could be something else entirely.

@RainbowGazelle You're absolutely right, there's way more to Sega than Sonic. My bad, to be fair! If I were them though, I'd be giving Christian Whitehead and the gang very large sums of money to make something extra special.

I loved Puyo Tetris 1, but I can't imagine a sequel selling too well? I mean, they nailed it so well with the first game. That said, I'm sure it'll be just as good, if not better.

Streets of Rage 4 was great too.

I know it's been said a lot before but I hope they revive some more classics. Would LOVE another Jet Set Radio, but again I'm just worried they may not be able to do it justice. I'd even take ports though, ngl.

Better yet, get all their Dreamcast games up on the Switch, that should keep them going for a while.

I think the Switch will definitely outsell the 3DS, and even has a decent chance of beating the Wii.

The Switch hasn't even had a price drop yet. I can see it selling well for a couple more years, providing they've got some good software lined up.

What's not to like, really? It's 3 Mario games that play perfectly well.

While I'm sure all those games will be great, the list is a bit thin. Hopefully there's an awesome Direct coming in the new year with loads of suprise announcements.

While sad that their arcades are going, I'm actually all for it if it means they have to rely on making [hopefully better quality] video games.
