Re: Even Memes Are Getting The Metroidvania Treatment Now

I feel so bad for KC who made that comic strip and no one knows it. I'd feel so bad if I made something and the Internet just took it without any credit or compensation.

Even though I read all his work, I'll buy this just to give back to the person.

Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?

Misima

This isn't a very good way to discuss this. Buying habits are far from consistent. In certain years of my life I bought several games a month. Others it's no games at all. Are we including games that cost less than 10 bucks? Somehow it doesn't feel like spending 4 bucks on hyper sale counts. I have bought like 10 new games just because of the switch 2... But some of those were Switch games I just didn't buy at all. Since the Wii era I feel like I buy a lot to start with a console and then stop all together halfway through, mostly because I'm poor but also because there's so many options you don't end up getting anything. If I look at my switch alone right now my play history is pretty empty. Mario Kart world because I got it with the bundle and cyberpunk along with Balatro are three games I bought. So that's 2 or 3 based on price? I got Wonder which I regret. I returned Madden. Then I have like Owlboy a short hike, and like 4 more games that cost less than a cheap meal.

That's a lot according to the poll... But it seems like almost nothing.

I actually think last year I got RDR2, Spider-Man, and maybe crusader kings 3 on PC. And I got tears... Was that the year before? IDK. I have like no money so I feel I should be in the low end but this data makes me feel like I'm getting a lot?

Re: WWE 2K25 Online Shutdown Date Revealed Just Months After Switch 2 Release

@Awnos Uhhh no. The license didn't happen until the late 90s and it was mostly PC games with online functions then. It expanded with digital distribution and MMOs. Then when Xbox started to go digital and the iPod was a thing they realized they could combo license strategy from PC software with games.

When you bought a cartridge you owned it. You weren't allowed to own the code but you owned the game and they couldn't take it from you. You're just wrong.
