@garfreek The price doesn't include the NSO subscription you have to pay to keep access to the game. So in honesty any online game is the most expensive game on the system.
You get a physical card that can malfunction or fail. It still requires a game not be delisted. It further more is harmful to the environment because it's wasted resources on something that doesn't work without Internet infrastructure. It also requires you spend money on additional media card space if you want to have many games or simply want to ensure that the system dying won't take your games with it.
In short there's only one benefit to GKCs over digital and it's one that few people will use, and that's resell value. But supply and demand says it is unlikely the value will remain.
I could work for this website. I articulated the same thoughts while playing the game. This is the absolute best map I have ever used in a game because it orients you so well. If this game didn't allow you to snap zoom back into the game from the map, it would have been a frustrating disaster of a game.
The map alone raised the score of the game by at least 10 points.
The game is too slow for an adventure game. And too fast for an RPG. It has potential. But it feels Terrible wanting to run up to an enemy and taking 2 times longer to get into sword range.
A year to two years ago (ish) games were getting cancelled and everyone was being fired and AI was being forced on all the programmers. This is causing a major gap to occur. You can see it with all platforms. The games are vanishing because the corpos have taken away all the resources and are batting down the hatches for the economic collapse of the West, so they can come out on the other side with record profits. This is what we all get for putting the worst people alive in charge of everything.
They are throwing quality games in the trash and the only stuff coming out is Indies and tent poles for the near future.
Nintendo will be the exception to the rule going forward... So expect every partner showcase to be a bunch of remakes and tiny games for the next 3 years.
Games never used to do that. I feel like caring about this is like saying the animated Aladdin film is worse than the live action because graphics are more important.
I just don't see why everyone is obsessed with an artificial number. Can you enjoy the game at 30 60 or 120 fps? That's down to gameplay and story.
This actually looked like the most interesting game in the direct. I mean the twist is so apparently obviously, but it felt like a good take on Eternal Darkness and that's exciting.
Not much really exciting to me. I think we all have to laugh at it when they included building a campfire. That feels like a joke.
I am getting Madden just because I haven't bought a football game in 20 years and while I don't want to give them money I do want to refresh just because my 360 is probably going to die.
Like all these showcases, there's probably something for most people but nothing is going to please everyone.
He's finally back, the leader of the bunch, to make plastic waste that will be brake down. To show the geeks who's the nerd in this town! DK! Donkey Kong! DK, Donkey Kong is gone!
I will never understand people. The frame rate does not matter in a single player game, only the stability. If your brain notices the slow down you are unhappy. But your brain is going to definitely notice 720 v 4k. As long as the frame rate is about 24 fps and stable you're going to enjoy the game ... So why obsess over these numbers?!?
If you're playing completive gaming it's different but only a few hundred people on the planet truly need that.
@1UP_MARIO It reminds me of the Wario World game made my treasure. If this game was with Wario instead, I wouldn't have batted an eye. It might have even been better... But then we wouldn't have gotten the best DK of all time.
I don't do anything less than a full 100 point scale using the whole 100 points, with 50 being average and that way 90s are for the very elite few. Like only a couple of games above 95. Bananza would be like a high 60 which translated to the lame scale everyone uses I'd say that's like an 80-94. Depends on how it plays out. But seriously much better than I was expecting.
If you're interested, games like RE4, RDR2, BoTW, FTL, SMW are in the 90s. What's the point of a 10 point scale if you're only going to use 6-10?!?
I have to say, DKB is much more entertaining as a game than Odyssey because the game loop is more addictive and satisfying. Mario required more skill which would make it a better game for those who like a challenge. I don't find the game easy or hard but more of a scavenger hunt. I thought I was going to hate this game but I just played for like 16 hours straight and really am enjoying it. It's also nice to not need any sort of walkthrough to play.
Don't download this update. It's almost no new content, 4 of the smallest missions ever ... But the patch is still several gbs of space gone on your system. While the cars are nice, it's really not worth the file size if your hard drive is tight.

Nope. I don't pay for online games.

@outsider83 That's a safe bet. They don't seem happy with anything Nintendo.
Re: Review: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 (Switch 2) - EA's Gridiron Series Finally Plays Ball On A Switch Console
Never forget that 2k was making a better product and they bought exclusive rights to the NFL and killed competition. They should never be forgiven.
Re: Review: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 (Switch 2) - EA's Gridiron Series Finally Plays Ball On A Switch Console
Shame about that GKC. Oh well. Now I can continue to not support this evil company. Haven't bought a game from them since Sim City.
Re: Cronos: The New Dawn Gets A Deep Dive Trailer, And It's Looking Awesome
I was going to get this til I saw that white box at the bottom.
It looked like Eternal Darkness mashed with dead space and time travel and that sounds like a delight.

Blasphemy to use a PlayStation style controller on a Nintendo system.

We are given no option but to get a crap product. I have had no choice but to not buy games I want.

@Ooccoo_Jr That's simply not the case. There's thousands of lost games.

Re: Nintendo Sends Out Second Game-Key Card & Physical Game Survey
Notice, they do not use the term game key cards. They are dancing around this. This survey is being done to try and rubber stamp their decisions.
Re: Nintendo Sends Out Second Game-Key Card & Physical Game Survey
Please,do not roll over. Tell them to keep physical games alive.

Re: Surprise! Bloober Team Is Bringing Sci-Fi Scares To Switch 2 With 'Cronos: The New Dawn'
@gusz I prefer it. 24 fps is what movies are, that's all that's necessary.
I don't remember anyone complaining that Spider-verse was even fewer fps.
Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Needed A Partner Showcase With Pep; This Wasn't It
This is just because the industry is contracting.
