@MrPerson0 Always with this fallacy. Since there's other problems, we shouldn't prevent additional problems. Humanity is just doomed by the lack of logic.
@MrPerson0 that's not actually how it works. Basically the grid itself matches the the wavelength of the magnetic field in a way that it causes an electric current to be created. When this happened with telegram wires in the past it was just things hooked up to those wires that were overloaded. All the science suggests that it's because the wires are a perfect length to catch the wavelength. While it's possible smaller electronics will mathematically be bunched in a way to create a charge or short, it's not a given.
I have read predictions that say the damage will be limited to mostly things plugged into the grid and complex computers that are unshielded. Basically no server will survive because they must be connected. The cartridges may not survive but it's got better odds.
The most pathetic thing ever is when corporations start lying to you about how their greed is actually good for you. Not because it's slimy for them to do so, but because it works on the majority of people.
@Spider-Kev That digital foundry report about the refresh rate of the screen being very poorly leading the the host trails. That might matter a lot with VR applications.
@MistressBrea I want Three houses but more and well polished. 3H was more fun than engage. It was a great gameplay loop. It was two types of games that you might get sick of, but each time you get a good amount of time and then switch over to the other game but are stronger because of the other gameplay.
@Aeralto it has nothing to do with that. He is a terrible character because he has no arca, no real motivation, is one dimensional. He is a bad character. You would never read a book with the character Mario in it. In fact every adaptation of Mario has to invent a different character.
You're getting awfully defensive about it.
Link is unvoiced, (btw Mario does have a voice and it's just lame). But he arcs and motivation, pathos, all of what you need.
Mario does not have that. But if you don't knee jerk react, you may notice I said he is the best mascot and the games are gold.
Mario is such a terrible character... But he is a perfect mascot. It's the games that made him though. It's crazy how many games he made that are still fun decades later.
I am going to keep asking until someone can answer this. Will this fake VB have the exact same stand as the original? I need a replacement for the stand because the plastic clip broke 30 years ago and I haven't been able to replace it.
Nintendo, please let that mean I can buy a replacement part finally to restore my virtual boy to insane value.
@ShadLink There's an ignore button if you don't like the sound of poor folks.
Nintendo should be reading comments so they know why sales are falling. And I complained to them directly. I think everyone should complain and abstain from buying it. But if you enjoy it, great. But you're being hypocritical for saying I shouldn't talk in this comment section about my options, but you can.
So, I am going to hit the ignore button. Good day, I said good day!
@siavm Complaining about it does help if you complain about it and then not buy it. They need to know why the sales are low and the sales need to be low. Otherwise they were right to bleed you because they could.
@Warioware if you compare the games to the options we have today you won't be impressed. But at the time the games were very good. The 3D was very good, especially in the Tennis game and Telero boxer. Red Alarm was the second best Star Fox game ever made, and the other games were the best versions of those games in existence outside of an Arcade. At the time. The problem was no one wanted to sti at a table and strain their necks, and the warnings scared people into thinking their eyes would fall out. Seriously, they made it sound like you were shooting X-rays into your eyes with a hard 30 minute limit to game play. I used to lay down on the couch with the system stuck in the cushions and used pillows to cradle my head. That's how awkward the system was. And Nintendo didn't think to fix that for this release by making a true headset.
This is beyond stupid. This is doing a worse version of the same product and expecting a different result. All the sales will be to content makers and the criminally rich.
@splinters the effect is different if it's done with two screens as it is more consistent. Personally I didn't like the 3ds 3d but the VB was okay, it was the system. Not being a headset that was the deal breaker. And they are releasing this even though they could have made it a true headset now. Idk wtf they're thinking.
@boxyguy Honestly the games don't really work in 2d. It really was a good experience playing them in true 3d. There were a couple of games that, while not amazing, were very unique due to the true 3d effect.
This should have been a headset and a game cartridge like it was a Mini Classic, but using the Switch 2 as the hardware. If they put it out like that I would have bought it. I'm not paying 100 bucks for the right to pay them a monthly fee.
I still have my virtual boy and all I am hoping is this will give me the ability to get a replacement stand as that broke on my system.
@Atariboy There have been other releases that are just the Switch version and then you have to download the update and it goes on your internal memory.
Well, there goes another purchase. I was ready to buy until those three words are spoken. There's like games I want to buy from this direct and I'm expecting 3 of them to have true physical editions. This is saving me so much money.
No one talks about how amazing this game was to play in mouse mode. That was the only way I played it and I adored it. This is why I'll have fond memories of the game. It was the first time I felt like I had the perfect fps set up... I would be saying that if Nintendo made a proper mouse with all the joycon stuff built into it.
@abbyhitter Honestly, you already have it. The patches are addressing very rare bugs. The game was arguably better at launch because the added content mostly sucks and is over a GB of wasted space on your memory. When day one was 99% perfect and didn't waste any space.

@MrPerson0 anything connected to the electrical grid would fry. Cartridges wouldn't.

Doesn't matter because you're not owning the game.
