I'm crossing my fingers that, should we not get a US physical release, the Asian release gets to have English option. $90 is quite a high price (looking at Play-Asia) but tempted, since I always wanted to play these games.

This game unironically caught my attention, if the game has some story campaign, I’ll likely give it a shot.

My favorite version of Tetris! I’ll play this soooo much…. Meh I know I’ll play it one day and likely never again… but still!!!

Looking forward for the addition of all the Zelda games, though. Although I fear playing them on an emulator on the Steam Deck is more certain to help me preserve my save data beyond the life of the Switch… sometimes I really wish we could just buy these… on that note: I’m definitively buying Trick Ghost and Erthian Odyssey!

I wont pay $70 for any game. Since that trend started, I have just waited for sales, now I actually spend less per-game than before since before I would preorder so many games at full price, games that would just go to my backlog.

Glad I preordered from Amazon the day the listing went up for 59.99.

Right now it’s listed as “currently unavailable” so they are obviously sorting something out…

Personally I buy only physical, and only games that are full in cart. Patches I understand but not buying games that require half or more the game be downloaded.

If I have go go digital, it will be either a Steam or Xbox purchase.

As of right now, I own 261 physical Switch games.

@BTB20 @dmcc0 Interesting... now I actually want to know how much software they sold if they did count sales digital only software above $19.99.

Not sure that means much in a time that when there are so many cheap 99c games in the store.

My one complaint is they did not call this “Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 4” so it would fit in perfect alphabetical order on my shelves.

I'm still holding hope for them to release the first 3 games (P1,P2I, P2E) across multiple platforms. And who knows, maybe, if the P3 remake rumors are true, we end up getting a FF7 style remake of these games, with more P5 style graphics.

I own the The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Special Edition and the New 3Ds Hyrule Edition. They dont get much play anymore but they bot sit behind me on a shelf looking pretty.

Really wish I also owned The Legend of Zelda Gameboy Advance SP.

I see this similar to Sony’s MLB The Show. Their contract forced them to go multiplat, but it took them longer to start on the switch than on the Xbox.

My expectation is it will take them a year or two before they hit the ground running, that would be 24 or 25. By that point, the Super Nintendo Switch (or whatever they call it) will likely be out or already announced.

Other than cart storage I don’t get why these games don’t have VA. It can’t be budget, this is the Pokemon Company, with access to a full animation production pipeline. They should have access to VA if they wanted it.

@Kochambra Microsoft is already the huge company you fear they will grow into, and they still care about their workforce. This is not guess work, I am an IT professional and have dealt with them for decades. I will take the confidence of their employees over the fears of someone about a potential future full of conditional “it’s” and fears. Truth is, Activision Blizard employees right now have a very bleepy time, and this change will be an improvement.

@Kochambra yea, working for Microsoft is better. Their HR actually cares about their employees (and most importantly, their public image). They won’t allow a toxic game dev bro manager to ruin their corporate reputation.

What I'm saying is that they will all be working for the same employer and they'll have to abide by this single employer's rules and decisions on what projects get made and in what terms they get made, which ultimately means less diversity

I know people that work in AB. They are not that many, so they are obviously not a representative of the whole employee base, but given headlines I would not be shocked if they are not far off: all of them cant wait for this acquisition to be through and be under a real HR department instead of being under Kotick.

I doubt anyone looks forward to work on AB, as much as they simply look forward to work on CoD or WoW or Diablo or what not. Activision is not a desirable employer in this industry.

@KindofaBigDeal Child, if a company like MS wanted to destroy all competition, they would had done so already instead of continue to sell some of their biggest IPs on competing platforms.

Pay more attention at the ones reselling remasters and upgrades while paying third parties to keep games off Xbox and Switch as they use their position to increase overall price for consumers.

I expect cloud versions similar to Capcom resident evil games, but would love if they went the extra mile and delivered low-fi versions of the games that were identical functionality wise, but had more simplified graphics. Like, if anyone remembers, the Ghostbusters game that was released for 360/PS3/Wii were the Wii version had graphics themed after the cartoon but the others took after the movies, still same game at the end.

Loved this game but now that I'm finally done with it, not picking it up until the whole DLC is released, think end of 23? I'll just binge all of it then.

This whole thing would not be as contentious of an issue, IMO, had Platinum not lied about the reason they changed voice actors.

Personally, not boycotting but not preordering anymore either (I had preordered as soon as it was available in Amazon but cancelled my preorder.) Chances are I'll buy the game at a later point, ideally after an official statement from Platinum and/or Nintendo.

I know a lot of people wont care, hell, for a bit I was here sitting thinking "this is bleeped up but I'll still obviously get the game"... but you know what? 4k is [bleeped] up... This is total [bleep]... I don't know if this was on Nintendo or on Platinum, but [bleep] this... I just canceled my preorder.

I do hope we get more information on whom was actually making the call to just pay 4k for this.

Literally just beat the game with all hero ascensions completed. I might check out the expansion at the end of next year for the new scenario stuff but not going to bother for the singular hero characters.

Did love the game but I’ll be putting the game to rest and playing other games now.

Glad they are releasing a physical version, but come on, restock the physical version of Bayonetta 2!!! Its selling at crazy markups everywhere because there is no stock!

I didn't play this game much, but the little I did I really enjoyed the concept and story, if not the grindy timer based aspects that are norm for mobile f2p games.

Every time I played it, I would grow frustrated and simply wish Nintendo would make a proper single player RPG out of the IP.

Decided to buy this one, and that of course lead me on just preordering the rest and thinking about buying the Trials of Cold Steel but... is there even a chance that we might get Cold Steel 1 and 2 on switch? ever?

So did I by any chance missed the news recently that Bayonetta 1 is going to be released in physical form? Because I bumped into it by chance in Amazon and it was available for preorder, supposed to be released September 30.

Sadly they don’t have Bayonetta 2 on stock, and although not ridiculous price, the old release is still going for quite a bit chunk of change.

@Mioaionios no issues with combos myself (the ai is better at getting them going than me😅) but the AI has a tendency of interlocking your healing mates when the party needs healing the most. Has caused a ton of wipes for me.

Important tip I learned: never assign healing duties to both members of the same interlock 🙃

I think they calling them different paths because they are no longer locked by each other or gym progression, so you could do any of them independently from start to finish (with a bit of grinding.)

Shield/Sword was my first Pokémon game and although I enjoined the gameplay loop and mechanics, the story was a ton of eye rolling. The antagonist/villain stuff was…. Meh? 😒

Actually a bit glad it’s listed here as the worst because it might mean there is a case to be said for me to play other Pokémon games. Although I am not sure the reason given is a reason I didn’t like the story. I kinda was ok with the overly ambitious rival that…. Was not really that good at all.

@Debo626 oh I played the first one and loved it. I already decided to get started on the second one. I see why many hate the gatcha system, but got to say I feel it adds some uniqueness to playthroughs. If I ever decided to play it a second time, it’s practically certain that my leveling/progression team of blades would be drastically different.

Maybe one day I go back and play XCX too, another one in my backlog. My Wii U still hooked up for whenever I decide to start playing it.
