But what about Final Fantasy, little Samson, Bucky O' Hare and Battle of Olympus. That were some great games back in the day. Still own them except Final Fantasy.
@arabiansanchez the building mechanics and motion controls. But I named it wrong, should have called it Mechanics. Gimmicks makes it immediately sound negative and it's not supposed to be that at all.
I'm enjoying FF XVI alot more then tears of the Kingdom to be honest. I don't think they can be compared to each other though. FF XVI is more story driven then Zelda will ever be. Just depends on what you like more. Story or gameplay/gimmicks.
@Dr_Lugae yeah they need to stop with the live action remakes. In my opinion they hit a new low by making a live action Moana. I really do not understand why they need to remake that movie. It's perfect as it is.
The reason why the little of mermaid is flopping is because Disney and almost every studio makes movies based on checkboxes. Everything needs to be checked so nobody's feelings get hurt or that they don't feel not included/represented. If you remake a movie, keep the characters as they are. For the rest create New memorable characters and stories, and create new classics. One of the reasons Mario is doing this great is because it isn't forcing opinions on anyone, it's just a basic story everyone can enjoy.
Clickbait much. I feel like a lot of context is missing as to what it represents or what is measured to get this data. In every console life there are high peaks and lows. And for that being in a straight line is not that bad, it's better then going from high to low every time.
@DarthFoxMcCloud i played Zelda since the first one, I know what the point is of the character and I'm m not saying it's bad. You don't have to be offended by it. In pre breath of the wild games you could also give the character your own name, the switch games don't. Both BotW and ToK give him full emotions you can see and he is being named by the rest of the characters by name, for me personally that loses most of the avatar point, so in my opinion they might as well give him some lines. And nowhere did I say Zelda needs to be like other games, I'm happy Zelda keeps doing it's own thing because it's still the best in the it's genre.
@lighteningbolt79 I'm sorry if you think I'm calling out to people personally, I'm not at all. Everyone has a own personal greatest game for many reasons and nobody can say you're wrong for feeling that. I think what most people mean is that the websites, who should be objective, are just giving games perfect scores just because it is a big title.
@lighteningbolt79 if it is to you, then I'm happy for you and you should enjoy it to the fullest. But according to people like you, I'm wrong in thinking it's not the greatest and I can't disagree or say anything bad about this game.
Seeing Bayonetta, GTAV and especially Skyward Sword on that list makes it kind of not that great or believable. I don't really think ToK should have a perfect 10 either. It's a good game but not the greatest game ever as most sites promote it to be.
Well most games are overpriced if you think about it. Only a couple might be worth the 70 price tag, though that also depends on the person buying the game. I mean, does anyone really think the latest Kirby game is worth 55€?
Had a sticker book of Sonic and the original Power Rangers when I was a kid. Not sure if i still have them. Didn't know they are still making these, thought this died in the 90's.
Ganondorf/Ganon is pretty much the only character that has a backstory and development in pretty much every Zelda game. I haven't seen the complete story of TotK yet but Nintendo just doesn't seem to want to take the story telling to a next level with Zelda. It's about time they just give Link a voice. He shows emotions, apparently he is humming songs during his cooking, so why not give him a couple of lines. It's getting awkward seeing Link react with all of his emotions and not a sound comes out of him.
I loved the opening of the game, gave me the illusion of a grand epic story. But that ended quickly and the game kind of lost me, didn't really like the tutorial ground and the rauru character. Maybe the rest of the game will get me again.
With the ticket prices these days it's not really hard to break every record though. Doesn't say that much anymore. Glad to see it doing good, proves that even game movies can be great if they put enough love in it.
I wish Nintendo would do a origins collection of Zelda and mario. Everything from NES, SNES, Gameboy's and N64 in one collection. I will buy that in a heartbeat.
I expect Nintendo to announce new hardware end of summer or early 2024. This proves it's really time. I'm still surprised this game isn't releasing with a new console. Still this game will play great and be alot of fun. Nintendo makes amazing games, it's a shame they limit themselves with the hardware these days.
A link to the past. What a powerful moment in a game back then. Ocarina of time is still my favourite version of it, the music the atmosphere, everything was perfect.
It is a great movie. Me and my kids loved it. But breaking records isn't really that hard if you look at the ticket prices these days, so that's not really saying that much. Glad to see this movie doing great though, it wil be interesting to see what they might do with a sequel.
I'm going to watch it this Saturday with my two daughters. I'm sure I'm going to be enjoy it as I hope they wil. It's going to introduce them to a world i loved and cherished as a kid and still do to this day, and I'm really excited that I can share it with them trough this movie.
Goodbye E3. We will always tember the amazing reveals like twilight princess and FFVII remake. But also the fails like skyward sword demo and Wii music.
Super Mario world is the most fun for me. It was also the most challenging in some parts of the game. I also have alot of fond memories of Yoshi Safari. That was such a fun and underated game. My brother and I would take turns between controlling Yoshi and shooting with the awesome super scope. Great times.
@DaniPooo @JohnnyMind @StuTwo for some reason, mostly nostalgic, i would love this to happen. It would be the most shocking thing ever in a Zelda game.
@Wexter thanks for your interest. Idon't have any designs online yet. I'm starting a new studio with my wife and our site is going to launch in March if everything goes as planned. I'll send you a link when it's live.
This movie looks like it's going to be alot of fun for old fans and young. Just wonder if Nintendo will change the design of the games on the switch successor to match this movie.
I understand his disappointment, and I can relate to it. But then again this is how the creative industry works, especially if you work with a property you don't own. I never get any credit anymore for the video's, photos or designs i made or worked that are still being reused or re-edited. That's because they are owned by the company i then worked for. But in this case they should have put the credits in, cause it seems to be a complete copy with better visuals and gameplay.
