@KnightsTemplar you can also buy merchandise with it from the Nintendo store, most of the time it's crap, especially when you compare it to the N64, GameCube days, but still it's not like I need to do a lot for it. Just download it and turn it on. Doing the same with PS Stars, the only better thing with that is that you can get Digital coupons for the coins.
I understand Nintendo is taking their time with the next console. Everyone's eyes are on them because of the major succes of the Switch, they are probably under a lot of pressure to hit a instant home run on launch. They will not want a situation like the Wii U.
I highly doubt that. There isn't really a major title announced for this year. I know that could still come, but it makes more sense that the big games will launch on the new system.
It released in the same month as Mario wonder and Spider-Man 2. Two highly anticipated games. That fact and people not spending alot on games because other life costs have a real impact on a Sonic game. Sega can blaim themselves honestly, the quality of a Sonic game is always a 50/50 chance. I love Sonic games but they really need to find a way to keep the quality up.
Give this franchise the Mario rpg treatment and revive it. It's a shame as they were great rpg's, never played the third on the DS though. Hopefully Nintendo will give this IP some love on Switch 2.
If they use larger game card sizes and cut the costs of them then they won't need a large internal storage. Only the gamers that go download only will need a minimum of 1 TB.
It will be either Switch 2 (if it's the same concept) or a new name. A big reason why the Wii U failed was because of it's name that didn't make it clear for the more casual market that it was a new console and not only a tablet accessory. I'm positive that they won't repeat that mistake.
Imagine ocarina of time remake being revealed for the switch 2 with the graphics of the wii-U tech demo. It would be the first time in my +30 years of gaming I will go to a midnight launch.
Funny he somehow gives a little criticism to people over nostalgia of the old franchises. Nostalgia is the reason Nintendo is still this big and the reason they stayed relevant even in Nintendo's darker time, it's pretty much what saved them. I would like to see Zelda going in the middle. Open world setting that you can explore on your own terms but a with a linear story structure. I did enjoy breath of the wild as it was new and fresh, but I didn't enjoy tears of the Kingdom at all and made me appreciate the old games even more.
The game industry might look fun to work in but it can also be very hard. Especially if you are insure on your own qualities in the field. And let's be honest at most developers the producers get the credits, especially at Nintendo. I mean do you ever hear anything about the directors ,or others that put major work on them, of the last Mario and Zelda games.
So then it's going to be a 80's B movie. Her voice over is not that great to be honest. Especially compared to the other characters. In the early 2000 it would have been great.
I'm finishing up super Mario bros wonder and after that I'm going to give tears of the Kingdom another shot. I didn't get into it the last time, but I think my expectations were to high for it making it impossible to reach. So with expectations in check I'm going to give it new go to see if it can hook me this time.
I wish they turned to another studio like HBO. Zelda would work best as a short serie. With al respect to Sony Pictures, most of the films they deliver are decent at best these days.
I still enjoy the 90's cartoon so my standards are not that high . The Mario and Sonic movies turned out good, so I'm optimistic. Looking forward to the casting.
They should go somewhere on the middle. It can be open world and linear at the same time. Other games do it. Bring back those massive dungeons, make them well hidden like Zelda 1 so you need to explore the open world. Make a great story to keep players hooked and deeply invested in the world they're walking through. And I would personally like that they get rid of the breakable weapons...
That takes me back, miss those days. Still remember umboxing a link to the past box and opening that map that came with it, just taking it all in how big that world map was.
Only played the SNES game when it first came out, the first person parts were incredible back then. But to be honest, I never had any idea what I was supposed to do, just walked around going from building to building.
A link to the past Link and pig Ganon, young Zelda ocarina of time. Isaac from Golden Sun. King Wart from Mario bros. 2. And I would love to see a Mario on Yoshi amiibo.
PS4 pro graphics seem a realistic target, but who knows maybe it's on par with the newer consoles. Nintendo is always amazing in surprising everyone with their new consoles.
This is the prime example of setting expectations way to high. The only chance it has is to fail now. Why make this statement if the "normal games" they make struggle most of the time to get good reviews.
Looks like a great game to be honest. This is actually what I would want from a 3Dbsonic game. Crazy that the first decent 3D game will be stuck on a apple platform. Sega going back to their roots with dumb choices.
This boxart feels like the designer woke up in the morning and suddenly realized he had to finish a boxart for Mario RPG by the end of the day. Fast designed this in panic, labeled it as a retro homage during the presentation, and it somehow got the thumbs up.
@Princess_Lilly I'm sorry but you lost me with the limited gameplay part. You're critisising spider-an 2 on limited gameplay and praising a side scrolling Mario game that had the same (tweaked) limited, left to right and jump gameplay for decades since super Mario bros 1.
Don't get me wrong I think both games are great, masterpieces not, but both definitely worth playing. Both the gameplay part just doesn't make sense. Did you even play Spider-man 2?
Would love to see a Gundam Wing game some day, that follows the complete story of that series. Been rewatching it again, really bringing me in the mood to play a mech game.
This is weird in so many ways. They could have easily port the same versions to switch. Yes the switch is alot weaker, but this is just bullying switch owners at this point. There's just no excuse, not even saving space on the card, cause most of it needs to be downloaded. I'll buy the PS5 version on discount at some point.
He will always be the Mario voice of my childhood. He really gave Mario life in Mario64 and beyond.
I'm looking forward to what Nintendo has planned for Mario. I think the movie was a great case for Nintendo to see if Mario with a different voice and way more lines to speak would be accepted by the audience. And with the enormous succes maybe they will go in the direction that Mario will be more voiced in future games.
What I expected it to be. Collection with direct ports, wich is fine by me. Just wish they would have added twin snakes, they seem to be really avoiding that title at all costs.
