@Anti-Matter after some research, seems to be a misprint on the boxarts. The European version boxarts doesn't even have the label on it that a download is required. The misprints also noted that a 15Gb download was required, while the game is only around 13GB.
@Anti-Matter unfortunately the PS4 version has the second game as a download in every region, don't really get the reason why. Best way to get both physical is buying the Japanese version of both games on switch. They also feature the English language.
@PikminMarioKirby Metroid Prime and TTYD are two completely different genres of games. Comparing the two scores just because they are both Nintendo games isn't fair to both games. It would be like comparing Mario to Zelda. Prime getting a 10 doesn't mean it's better it just means it's a 10 in that type of game. A 9 for a rpg is really amazing, and basically means it's a perfect game.
The comments are now more true then ever. Games are getting to expensive to make with the modern graphics. They really hit a wall with that and need to think if it's worth going for even better graphics.
But back then it was just to promote the Wii, it would have been weird if he would say otherwise. Iwata was just what Nintendo needed at the time, the N64 and Gamecube didn't do that well even though both are great consoles. He really stepped up in a darker time and thankfully the Wii was the succes they needed. The same goes for the Switch. Hopefully they can keep it up with the next console.
@SalvorHardin how the Lord of the rings looks might actually work great for a Zelda movie. Game of Thrones might be to dark. But both look like confinsing fantasy worlds. The most generic fantasy movies don't have that and just look off and unreal for some reason.
But with Miyamoto taking alot of control I'm sure they get the feeling and looks of the movie perfect. The Mario movie looked amazing and the world building was the best.
@Edu23XWiiU why so hostile? Cinematic feeling has nothing to do with story. It's just the way the story is shown. He has not worked on the stories, in fact in a lot of interviews throughout he's career he stated that he doesn't like stories in games and doesn't think it's that important.
No offense to Miyamoto because when it comes to games and gameplay the man is a genius. But movies need actual good stories. And we al know, saying it nicely, not that great in that.
I'm really curious if the switch online libraries will be moved over to the new console with all the games that are added now. Or if they do a Nintendo and start from scratch again.
@LadyCharlie that would be the CD-i games. She is the only playable character there. In Zelda's adventure she needs to safe Link. I enjoyed those games back when they released, but I was a kid so my standards weren't that high for games.
I don't think I only recommend them now as a piece of gaming history to try.
I enjoyed the Mario movie. I fear the Zelda movie it could go both ways. However it might also work in favor of the games, maybe Nintendo will feel the need to create a bigger story for the Zelda games.
I'm not expecting anything big. It wouldn't make any sense for Nintendo to release another big exclusive for switch, if they can use it to boost the next console. Looking back at the history of the big N, every last year of a console since the N64 was pretty bad with games. When Nintendo is done with a console they are pretty much done right away and start complete focus on the next.
@LikelySatan they could reach those heights if they would stick to a formula that works and improve that.
The problem with sonic games is that they switch things up completely with every 3D game. Nintendo always stick to a safe template. They use what works and improve on that with the 3d titles. The downside to that is that you get games that don't change that much but you do have the best gameplay, and that's what matters in both Mario and Sonic titles.
I hope Sonic team starts taking the Nintendo roadmap. Sticking to a formula and tweak that to perfection.
The western world is getting sadder everyday. Pixel posters that absolutely show nothing being removed because it might offend the whining gen. I'm sorry but if these things in games upset you, how are you able to enjoy life in any way if you get so easily offended by everything.
I just rebought Donkey Konga with the DK Bongos for GameCube for my kids. They are loving it so far. In between I'm going to continu to 100% FFVII rebirth.
You would think Mario and Sonic are on the two top positions. Wether or not you have played any of their games, everyone knows who they are and what they represent in gaming history.
I'm always in for a great Turtles game. I loved Shredders revenge, really made me feel like a 90's kid again. But seeing that outright games is making this game, I'm going to skip this one.
Both were AA titles for me. The animation of Mario wonder was amazing and I hope they keep using it for future titles. The wonder flower made it less for me. It became just a gimmick because it was in every level. Sonic was just all over the place and short, the levels were very easy and the bosses were way to hard in comparison.
Might pick this up, saw some screenshots back in the 90's and was amazed by it. But as far as I know this game unfortunately never got released in Europe on the phone.
@JohnnyMind it would probably cost them to much to make them all, but it woud be something for the legendaries.
It is a missed opportunity though with the unlockables. They might even be able to use Pokemon cards in that way. Would be a great way to integrate both worlds of pokemon.
@gcunit yes but imo Nintendo always been greedy with their prices of hardware and accessories, and they could learn in that regard from the competition. Price cuts can be made because production gets cheaper, its a choice to be made to allow consumers to buy your products cheaper or get more profit by keeping the same price. It's up to debate wich option is the better one, as both have down and upsides.
@Samalik that's true, but those games are designed to be replayed. They also, most of the time, have a learning curve, and you get better with it every time you play it. Especially the games of the past and those that are based on those. However with most kids games you can't die ( lose lives) or get hurt in any way. You just walk from point a to b and collect a couple of things. That's basically it, there's no thing or challenge to overcome. Even my 2 year old can play these games with little help, but her older sisters have no interest in it anymore.
@Anti-Matter how are AAA games instantly inappropriate? I agree that there should me more family kids games, I think Astro bot might be a great contender for that. I also love to play those games in between the bigger AAA games. However games like Bluey, Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig are way to short to appeal to a large market, besides it fans, because they are way to short.
I bought all those games for my kids and even though they loved Bluey and Paw Patrol, they finished the games in just 4-5 hours. That's 40 euro for very short games. It made me upgrade my PS+ to extra just for those games for them. I think alot of parents think the same, those games don't match the costs. They're basically the licenced games of the nes ans SNES era.
I do think it's a important market and these games need a place, but you need to be realistic and see that AAA games are important and matter to way more gamers then family games.
This game is better then people came it is. Yes it has it flaws but so did almost every game with it's transition to 3d. I really enjoyed this when I was kid.
@BoiAster oh please no. Don't know wich one is worse. In the style of Scarlett and violet but, maybe better, would be great. But it's gamefreak so we should prepare for the worst and hope for the best these days.

Re: LEGO Unveils 'Great Deku Tree 2-In-1' Zelda Set, Pre-Orders Now Available
You can probably almost buy a switch 2 for that price. If it was in around 100 I would have bought it, but 300 is just insane.

The sizes of these games are ridiculous, every switch hard drive would be full with only call of duty on it.

Donkey Kong 94 remake or sequel.
