Re: Poll: What Nintendo Switch 2 Games Are You Most Excited For In 2026?

Markiemania95

I selected Pokopia, Mario Tennis, Mario Wonder, and Yoshi, but ‘excited’ is not exactly the word I’d use for the latter two.

I’ll definitely get Pokopia, Mario Tennis seems likely, I’m still not sold on the Mario Wonder upgrade, and Yoshi is unlikely, but still a maybe.

Aside from these, the game I’m actually looking forward to the most this year is Rhythm Paradise/Heaven/Tengoku/whateveryouwannacallit

@LazyDaisy You can still change it. Microsoft permanently locked me out of the email I had tied to my second Nintendo Network account due to inactivity, but there’s an option on the Nintendo Support site to change the email linked to your NN to a different one, specifically for reasons such as this.

Re: Opinion: NSO Subscribers Outside Key Markets Get Less, And Nintendo Should Fix That

@ArcadeSixties What games has the UK had cheaper digitally than physically prior to Switch 2? The entire time I lived in the UK (until 3 years ago), I bought almost all of my games physically because I could find them cheaper than their digital counterparts. As of the Switch 2’s release though, games being cheaper digitally seems to be Nintendo’s strategy across the board. I’m pretty sure it was the case for MK World and DK Bananza across Asia, Europe and North America.

In relation to the NSO controllers referred to in the article, it’s of course not a perfect workaround, but if anyone is planning to visit Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka/NY/SF, it is possible to buy the controllers at the Nintendo Stores in these cities, with proof of an NSO subscription (even if said subscription is from a different region) at the checkout. I managed to get the Japanese Famicom, Super Famicom and Mega Drive controllers this way from Nintendo Osaka.

Re: Nintendo Highlights Super Mario's Game History In 40th Anniversary Timeline

@Max_the_German It’s still considered the first entry in the Yoshi series in much the same way Wario Land is the first in the Wario series though.

However, on that note, I understand Donkey Kong, DK Jr., DK3 etc all being considered by Nintendo as part of the DK series… but then where does that leave Mario Bros.? Wrecking Crew? I suppose they’re not ‘Super’ enough. That, and they’re not true platformers in the same way the games on this list are. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

Poor. No Mario Kart World, crazy prices for Galaxy 1 and 2, boring DLC/Switch 2 content for DK Bananza and Mario Wonder. Mario Tennis looks alright, but I won’t hold my breath after the last few entries. VB is an interesting addition, but the mandatory purchase of the stand is lame. No interest in the Talking Flower, due to its lack of interactivity. I might pick up Rosalina’s Storybook. Pokopia was honestly the best thing there imo.

And Z-A... I’ve never missed a mainline Pokémon game since Gen I, but the more I discover about this game, the more inclined I am to just straight up skip it. I think the Kalos starters’ Mega Stones being locked behind online Ranked Battle rewards might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for me.
