@Liam_Doolan It may not count as an actual, proper announcement, but the official, verified nintendoinspired Instagram, run by Nintendo of America afaik, has uploaded both a post and a story about them, stating that they’re set to release on the 30th of June, the same day as Japan.

Crystal Chronicles is still the only one I’ve ever played (aside from FF1 for all of about 3 minutes), and I never got that far into it at all.

Only got question 6 wrong, as I haven’t played any of those games.

The red OG 3DS, which I traded in for the Pikachu XL; the Majora’s Mask new XL; and the blue PKMN X/Y edition, the last of which I only ever turned on to format its data, and then later sold to a friend.

@Solomon_Rambling I’m sure all of the microgames were ported, but yeah, I think some of the subgames may have been lost in transition.

@Bobb Came here to say the exact same thing lol. It’s also far from the best entry anyway, as the ranking itself states.

Also, I’m shocked that Mega Party Game$! and Smooth Moves are so low, when they by far had the best multiplayer experiences. In my mind, the former is just a vastly enhanced version of Mega Microgame$! too, which is ranked #1 here, so I’m putting this down to less people having played the GameCube instalment.

I’ve never played Yoshi’s Cookie, Topsy-Turvy, or (despite owning it), Safari. Yoshi’s Story is maybe the worst game I’ve ever spent money on, and Crafted World sucks. The rest range from decent to great.

I’ve always thought of it more as Game & Watch/NES, Game Boy/SNES, GBC/N64 and so on. Each generation’s handheld/home console release dates match up more closely that way, with each generation’s handheld debuting first, followed by its home console counterpart. Also Virtual Boy just realistically is not a handheld, it doesn’t come into this equation.

It is Toon Link. ‘Cat-eye’ is a descriptor; if an official Nintendo book described Paper Mario as ‘wafer-thin Mario’, that doesn’t change his name from Paper Mario. Besides, ‘cat-eye’ not being capitalised is a dead giveaway that it’s not the character’s name or title. Silly question.

@Tober No. You can see that the toys are modelled after the characters’ movie appearances, and the Japanese text refers to the movie. The movie’s logo is even in the corner of the leaflet.

I really like it, it would be weird to ditch the DKC design completely (unless the film featured a young Cranky, in which case reverting to the classic look would make sense), but I’ve always liked the older design, so this seems like a pretty decent mixture of the two.

The Wii U Pro Controller is quite possibly the absolute worst controller Nintendo have ever produced, that abomination was complete garbage. No other major company has put face buttons underneath the right stick for a reason… what a waste of money that was.

I apologise that I didn’t spend more than 30 seconds of my day on my comment so that I could include all of the other precise legal details./s Sega could be ‘easily’ stripped of its right to develop Sonic if Sony bought them. CD Projekt Red could be ‘easily’ stripped of its right to develop Witcher if Microsoft bought them. It’s not a point that’s necessary to make because they’re all very unlikely ‘what-ifs’ that could apply to almost any bigger - smaller company dynamic.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika It’s their own IP lol, ofc they’ll never lose it. I’m certain Nintendo doesn’t have the power to seize it from them, given they only own a 3rd of the franchise.

I assumed that this glitch was already really well-known, I discovered the same thing myself, told my friend about it, only to find out she’d already done the same thing as well lol. One of many reasons I believe that this game either had 0 playtesting, or at least the feedback from it was heavily disregarded.

The Baby Bowser final boss from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, and the Golbat sprite from Pokémon Red & Blue. Spooky.

@Bunkerneath Why would you order anything through GAME anyway, let alone pre-order? Not trying to provoke, just curious. There are always accessible, better options in the UK, and their previous f**k-ups are well publicised. They should have gone under well over a decade ago.

@C-Olimar I got a Switch Pro Controller on launch day, and I’ve honestly always thought its D-Pad was fine. I really don’t get the hate

The real worst thing about the Game Boy Player was having to choose between a stick or an awful, tiny D-Pad. The GameCube controller is possibly my favourite of all time (close competition with Switch Pro), but I really hate its D-Pad. People complain about the Switch Pro’s, but I honestly think it’s so much better. Just a shame that the N64’s D-Pad was probably the best - the system where it’s used the least 😂

@a1904 As a fellow Brit, I think they’re fine. As @NIN10DOXD stated, they all have a precedent of having American voices. What did you expect? Tolkien-esque high fantasy with American voices is one thing, but this is completely different lol.

There’s 125,000,000 people in Japan already, the gates have been open to those with visas for a while now, and visa-free travel to the country is returning in less than a week. I don’t think it’s surprising that Super Nintendo World is being advertised as heavily as it is; the park was packed when I went one Tuesday last month (Tuesday supposedly being their least busy day of the week).

@Saban It’s not a waste if they’re like oxygen to me haha, I literally cannot be rid of them. I’m Level 40 and still only have 350 item slots - imo, it’s a waste of bag space to have them take up an entire third of 1650 slots.

@Saban Agreed, I’ve never paid for anything in GO (unless you count the GO Plus accessory), but Poké Balls are actually a huge pain for me. I use Great & Ultra Balls almost exclusively, I’m having to constantly discard Poké Balls.

@Hajilee Honestly, I think ‘shipping’ real-life people together is some of the weirdest **** someone can do. I would find it deeply disturbing if countless people were so obsessed with my romantic/sexual interests that they actually hope/insist that I should be with another person that I don’t like in that way, even more so if they’re now at the point of drawing art of it.

As for me, I’m genuinely not sure I’d say I LOVE any game that is objectively or generally viewed as bad… but I think the closest thing to that is that I seem to be the only person that truly prefers Sonic 06 to Colours (I at least got through the former, I quit the latter at the water world after it almost bored me to tears). I’ve also played through Pokémon Channel 2-3 times, a game that I don’t think many would waste their time on.
