The post only talks about stopping sales on the My Nintendo Store. I was planning on heading over to the Osaka store in the morning, so hopefully this new lottery system doesn’t apply to the physical shops, too.

@Waa-Laa Nintendo of Europe has uploaded a video about it on their Instagram (I assume X too), and visiting the My Nintendo Store UK home page shows a small black banner at the top stating that the clock will be on sale later this week.

@Zeebor15 I agree that you should be able to take photos, but it’s actually not that uncommon in Japan. I’ve been to a few museums and exhibitions here in which at least some areas do not allow photographs.

@PokemonDMG They didn’t? He’s in the original N64 release of Majora’s Mask, too. The list of his appearances in the article isn’t intended to be exhaustive.

It’s recently had a big marketing push here in Japan too. Towels and blankets at convenience stores, bottle covers, new plushes at Pokémon Centers, it’s really blown up especially in the last few months.

Yeah, a delicate balance… that all goes totally out of the window as soon as DLC characters arrive, and you need to make players want to pay for them.

Went today and paid for 3 entries, got 2 N64 buttons and an NA SNES button. Fortunately, soon after, I managed to trade one of the former for a GC C-stick, and the latter for an N64 stick with other customers.

@Zeebor15 I have the European version. What’s the difference between that and the North American version? Afaik, there are only two versions: the digital-only NA/PAL English versions, and the Asian Japanese/Chinese versions.

@JohnnyMind @Vyacheslav333 iirc, the Japanese versions of the remakes only have Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese subtitles available, so as long as you can understand one of those languages, you should be fine.

@Not_Soos As @YunoboCo said, if you’re ever running low, just use the FE, AC and Mario Run apps to top up. The one-time achievements for doing basic stuff like linking your SNS or even My Nintendo account usually give quite a few Platinum Points. FE is particularly great as you don’t even have to actually play it lol, I’ve had 1000s of points from that game just by auto-playing every single battle.

A new DKC, or something in the vein of Donkey Kong ‘94/GB.

I’m not getting it purely for the fact that yeah, the art gallery and sound test isn’t enough new content for me to get it again, but it’s a great game. Hope all those playing it for the first time really enjoy it.

@Dm9982 Yeah, in the Western versions of HeartGold & SoulSilver, they replaced the slots with Voltorb Flip, a minesweeper-esque game. You may be thinking of that.

@Dm9982 Any link to that article? Any screenshots? Any video evidence? Because I am almost certain that you are confusing those releases with the Let’s GO remakes on Switch. I can’t find anything on Serebii, Bulbapedia, YouTube, Wikipedia, Reddit, this website, etc about it.

@Dm9982 ? The slots were not disabled in the Game Corners of the Virtual Console ports of Gen I & II afaik. Can you find any evidence of this online? I know that’s the reason why the games received higher age ratings, but I have not seen any proof that the Game Corners were edited in any way for those releases whatsoever.

Also that this game is a 6/10 at best. The later Zones suck, and the bosses are the worst in the franchise’s history.

@the_beaver It’s referring to Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite. Not the first time ‘Switch systems’ has been used like that by a long stretch.
