Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Switch 1 & 2 Physical Release Does Not Include Mortal Kombat 4 On The Game Card

@breach187 It's nothing more but a publishers' jargon. People believed it to the point where they really think now that they own only a license holding a physical copy of the game. Those who are buying digital versions try to persuade owners of physicals that it's one and the same. No, you're buying a physical media with a software on it, not a software on a physical media. And digital versions? You never really own them and publishers know that, with some of them insolently telling us that we should get comfortable with not owning games. Notice that they know very well, that we own them if we'll get them fully on physical media.

@ShadLink Then give me an example how otherwise they can revoke a license of my physical copy. With digital version it's easy. What about physical one?

Yes you did

"They can, they have and they will. There have been multiple instances of publishers revoking access to even physical forms of media. From CDs, DVDs, BluRay discs (try to watch one when the signing key is revoked you'll see), games on floppy, games on discs, games on cartridges."

Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Switch 1 & 2 Physical Release Does Not Include Mortal Kombat 4 On The Game Card

KociolekDoSyta

@ShadLink You're completely out of it. Confusing DRM with revoking a license and using example of a music CD that had DRM and not an example of something that had its license revoked. I dare them to come to my house and steal a physical copy of my game. I dare them to connect to my Switch and revoke the license somehow thru firmware when my Switch is 100% offline.

It's funny reading comments how people that are buying digital versions want to set even lower standards for physical buyers. You're happy with your deigital version? Good, then shut it. People want what was promised on their carts.

In the case of this release it's obvious what's going on. There is no excuse for even not telling people until the physical copy was getting into hands of customers. Some people here like @ArcadeSixties for example will probably agree to anything that they'll get in their lives, will pay for everything, so I would just avoid him and others who are simply gaslighting physical buyers. Why are Nintendo customers complaining about it and not Sony or Microsoft ones? Maybe because they're the only ones that don't get the whole package? Some people need to read before they write anything.

@TimelessJubilee I do sometimes, he just keeps yapping when I work or play games. He's based but logical and has fair points very often. Sometimes he's too much but overall from time to time I do like it. This game is much, much worse than him. Pop culture in a game like this is just insanity, I would never touch it. I would probably never touch Asmon as well but that's another story.

Re: Ongoing MicroSD Shortages Could Have A Knock-On Effect For Switch 2 Storage Availability

KociolekDoSyta

Here we go, especially with Switch 2 and the internal storage. Man, microSD Express cards won't get cheaper that fast. They will milk you at the beginning as hard as they can. Just like it was with MMC, SD and microSD cards in the past. Give it a couple of years and microSD Express cards will be at some reasonable price.

I have 2TB microSD cards in all of my devices (including Switch 1), I'm not deleting and downloading all the stuff over and over again. I want everything on devices, sometimes I just don't have access to fast and unlimited internet. Given the nature of the devices being portable, this is how it should be. You should have access to your content all the time, without internet. Download once and forget about it. Also, as a bonus, you're not wearing out the storage.

The thing with the AI and prices... just another reason to hate it.

Re: Capcom Releases Switch eShop Demo For Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny

KociolekDoSyta

@Samalik I understand now. The problem in your previous comment was about the sentence, how you wrote it. It just doesn't make sense.

About the game, it is censored. It's terrible what they're doing especially to a game rated for mature audience. Putting that aside, game is great. Don't let yourself get robbed out of a good experience because of some censored costume (extra one) and a 3 second scene. It's hilarious what they did actually, no comments. They also censored Onimusha: Warlords if you choose English:

https://censorship.fandom.com/wiki/Onimusha:_Warlords

@Smithicus I read it three times... at least my brain started working properly at 4am.

About the demo. It was released because game doesn't sell well. What did you expect tho? Stupid, hilarious censorship, denuvo on PC. Capcom forgot that this is a niche title for fans, game that is over two decades old. They want to get new players into it, well... this is not the way obviously. I still think that we'll get Onimusha 3, because it would be stupid not do so after remastering two previous ones. Even if they didn't sell well, but I doubt that we'll get Dawn of Dreams. Onimusha 3 for sure won't be released before the new entry in the series hits the shelves. It should've tho, if Capcom could think at least once about what they're doing, how they're hurting not only their sales but also fans of the series with their stupid decisions. They will get new players, but with Onimusha: Way of the Sword. This company just doesn't get things right sometimes.

Re: ICYMI: Red Dead Redemption's Switch 2 Release Is A Free Upgrade For Switch Owners

KociolekDoSyta

@NintendoWife No, no, not entitled. It's just necessary, otherwise you would watch a blurry mess (720p>1080p) in most of the cases. Better framerate of course whenever possible, all the other things are a very welcome add-on. Everyone should do it this way, it's such a good practice. Especially when your game and port is so good. This is how you take care of your customers properly and encourage future ones.

Well, but yes in the other case it's better to pay than not to get an upgrade at all, but that's a bad practice and people will remember it.

Re: ICYMI: Red Dead Redemption's Switch 2 Release Is A Free Upgrade For Switch Owners

KociolekDoSyta

@Max_the_German DLSS, HDR and mouse function, utilize all the new features to support the new hardware. It takes a bit of development but think about it. They released full game on cart for Switch 1 which I praise. There's no need now for releasing even a GKC with the free upgrade that S1 version got. Switch 2 owners complaining about GKC will just grab S1 physical and get a free upgrade, I'm not even mentioning digital sales. Game is great, port is great, full physical already released and now the free upgrade. It's a complete win for everyone. This is just them being smart and they will get new sales from that. They even started printing physical copies on their own, smart move again.

@NintendoWife ^ They will get their money back from this upgrade, even more. They're smart about it. I wish that everyone would be, as this is a much better business practice and everyone just benefits from this, no one loses here. I can see only benefits for everyone.
