Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Officially Revealed, But It'll Skip Switch 2

If it doesn’t come to Switch 2, at least we got the original Black Flag via backwards compatibility

I love Black Flag, but I just don't care. Maybe that will change in the not too distant future, but for right now I can't get excited for it.

It’s not as if the Assassin’s Creed games were masterpieces… Even if Black Flag is probably one of the best entries, it’s still an Ubisoft game: something designed to be consumed as a product rather than experienced as a work of art… So I would rather just get a 4k/60fps boost on my Xbox version rather than having to pay for that.

This was fun at the time. Not too excited though about a revisit, but enjoying my time immensely with AC Shadows!

Not rage-bait, I promise, but this game is one of the most overrated I have ever played. Stealth, combat, and missions need serious work, and they were rough at launch.

Uh actually it's not. It's pretty much known that it's coming to the Switch 2, PS5, PC and Xbox. Why say this? It's gonna come.

i wonder if namco is going to bring dragon ball xenoverse 3 to switch 2 since it was announced for other systems.

Probably my first- or second favourite of the franchise. I´ll most likely pick it up before the sales get too deep.

But I feel absolutely exhausted hearing about this remake. It feels like it´s been years and years and years of rumours, leaks, teases, hints, confirmations, and now the reveal. I'm so glad to finally get it out there so I don´t have to hear any more about it.

Probably not the ideal starting-point for a game-release.

The answer is yes. But mostly the cut off for those halcyon days of yore is around sixth gen. People bought cheap DVD players, GTA and Madden converters for their TVs. That was the beginning of the normies sh*tting up the joint.

ARM based platform is too hard to develop for. This indie studio doesn't have the resources to make that happen.

They'll probably wait to see how it does in other platforms before investing resources on a Switch 2 port since it's still a recent console and this project has been rumoured for a while.

Good, save yourself $59.99 on Ubislop's cash grab of a game that didn't need any remake. If you really want it, get a copy for Switch 1.

I'll stick with the Wii U version. Nothing beats having the map on the gamepad!

If we get it, neat; if we don't, oh well. Black Flag has been sufficiently portable on Switch for years. The reported handful of extra side quests and characters does elevate the new version's value above mundane "remasters", "Switch 2 editions" and whatnot, but whether they're compelling enough to tempt tripling the 19 Gb of Gen 9's entire portable Rebel Collection (which, I assume, can also be installed somewhat more incrementally akin to the Ezio trilogy) is another matter. If I'm to spend 65 Gb of NS2 internal storage or prospective external memory on an AC game, I'd rather load Shadows or yet-unported franchise binge item like Unity or Syndicate. Or even Odyssey - lest we forget, the latter also got a "cloud" treatment on Switch.

So excited for this game, looking great and I am sure Switch 2 will bring it up to new level compared to competition!

I have no doubt this will eventually come to Switch 2. Maybe even day and date. Nintendo have at various times asked developers to not share there is a Switch or Switch 2 version so they can announce it at a Nintendo Direct. It could very well happen again.

I guess this lessens the chances of say, GTA VI, coming to Switch 2.
On the other hand, we have seen many instances of this happening only to find out later in a Direct that the game will also be coming to Nintendo's console. So, you never know!

Truth be told, considering we already have the OG, which is a terrific game, I can't say I'm interested in a modern, possibly bloated version of that same game. Ubisoft earned no trust, no nothing for years now.

Shame disappointed but might it's coming down the road later later launch on other platforms first so Ubisoft can ensure Nintendo Switch 2 version polishing well or optimise correctly. I might buy it for Xbox Series X version if achievements is easy or good. I will buy it again for Nintendo Switch 2 version whenever it comes out even I get it for Xbox Series X when it's released on 9th July just for achievements then collection it on Nintendo Switch 2. 😊😊😊😊😊😊

3rd parties will go where the install base is. After the success of the Switch, unless they are fool hardy like EA, I doubt they are going to ignore the Switch 2.

@BaldB3lper78 that not true. Many third parties on Switch and Switch 2 versions selling well much better then what past Nintendo generations of machines before Switch era starts did.
