@AverageGamer Yes, specs are nice but they could do the same with OLED from the beginning. We all know that they will do it at some point.

Don't have Switch 2, but Switch's OLED looks insane. How can you downgrade people after getting them used to something this good?

Of course that they are digitals and it also suggests that Capcom will never release any of their games fully on cart for Switch 2.

I bought Ally X not that long ago and I'd say that it's worth the money. No waiting for eventual ports, games are there straight away and they're getting cheap really quickly. This XBOX one has RDNA3.5 graphics, that will be a solid jump in performance when it comes to games. 899$/$999 minimum for it!

@NeonPizza No, no. Game is good, I have it on my Switch 1. It's just the minimum effort that the put to the version on Switch 2, close to none actually and they're selling it at full price again. On top of that it's a game key card, Switch 1 version comes full on a cart.

This release is a complete joke to me. Come on Sega, how low can you go?

@Burning_Spear Some publishers are just out of their minds. They literally didn't do anything here and are asking for unimaginable amount of money, putting close to none effort into it.

@sixrings If it's worth for you to pay that much money for a game that has over 30 years then by all means, buy it. I don't know if you realize what Ridge Racer actually offers. Price for it is a complete shamelessness. You can't justify this price looking at some brand new game. You do sound like a publisher now.

This game is fine but not for the price, $16.99 is simply offensive.

@Anti-Matter I think that it might be actually the vibes that it gives, not even Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter does that for some reason.

MvC and CvS are the absolute best tho, but well, not everyone has to like everything and that's fine of course.

I played it today in the morning at my friend's place for like 30 minutes or so on Switch 2, it looks phenomenal on this console. Absolutely get it if you bought the console!

@Anti-Matter That's interesting. I have friends who actually for some reason like this one the most out of all of them. None of them could explain to me why and what it is that made them choose it tho. It does feel different when compared to other ones.

PS4 also has World Tour mode in 30fps so it's about right.

Not even my modded Switch can do that sadly, framerate is all over the place in this section starting from 22-24 to 30 sometimes.

Oh my God... I hate this. I also hate stickers on Amazon's physical copies of Switch games. If I want to leave my copy sealed, it's sometimes such a pain to get rid of them!

Let's see how customers will thank you, publishers.

@antlion That's the natural order of things, I just pointed it out and people are jumping on me. For me, 95% of games that I'm playing, I'm playing them in single player mode. I just love owning my physicals, it's not even about reselling them. But yes, you're right, games like Mario Kart will be getting updates and some new courses.

@progx You know, I really wanted to get Switch 2. Game key cards and battery life killed it for me. I do have a modded Switch so I have no problems with framerates, but I wanted Switch 2 anyway. Cyberpunk 2077, Yakuza series... I just got that Ally X and got these games on GOG.

I have only 4 games on Steam that I really need in my life and there's no other way to buy them and because I don't pirate games, that was the only option. Everything else is on GOG and also it's nice to support a company from my country you know? Valve... Valve is alright but because of proton. I installed Linux on my Ally X (I use Linux on laptop as well) and I do use proton so for that I'm really grateful. If it wouldn't be for them gaming on Linux wouldn't be what it is right now, but that's it.

I never play on my laptop, only handhelds for me because of life, work, trips. By the way, if you want a much better battery life - install Linux, you'll get extra time + FPS on top of that. It's crazy how much better Linux is now compared to Windows, not only when it comes to gaming. When it comes to Switch 1, I'm still waiting for few physical releases, I'll buy them and that's it. No more money for Nintendo from me (Nintendo tax from physicals only from the future buys).

I'll be waiting for new games reviews, even tho I'm not getting Switch 2.

@progx Nope, I'm buying on GOG. And what I'm doing here? Writing, just like you. Even tho Switch 2 came out, first Switch will still be getting games.

@HammerKirby Yep! At this point this was a better choice. No more money for Nintendo and their game key cards. Legit physicals are the main reason why I have Switch. With Switch 2 there are already games that I'd like to play and that are being released on key cards. So I chose x86 platform and will get them much cheaper from now on.

@Spider-Kev I barely update games on my Switch. Physicals for me and I update them them only when there are some problems during the gameplay, so you know shrugs @HammerKirby I know that Nintendo releases physical revisions in time. I chose Ally X, so no more money for Nintendo from me except for few new titles on the original Switch in the near future.

This looks epic and I like it much more than Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound even tho I'm a huge fan of Ninja Gaiden series. Can't wait for both, what a great year!

@NTELLIGENTMAN I wouldn't go that far, but this just should have never happened. Ever, no matter what. Mine was bricked as well, but I have a second OLED that I kept on 19.0.1 so at least that.

@Dhaladog This is the first time in my life with a Nintendo product that I felt like it's a fomo at some point. If you're not sure, I would just wait. They will show up in shops after a while again.

A friend of mine was able to pre-order one on UK Amazon two days ago. Some people cancel pre-orders, they show up, then they're gone... circus, a bit of fomo, a bit of worries about the game key cards situation etc.

Imagine releasing an update that bricks a Switch in the first place

I recommend Fading Afternoon and all the other games made by Yeo, they're fantastic! With this release, finally all of them will be on Switch.
