I have zero issues paying for extra content and if it’s meaty enough then the price sounds ok to me.

Nintendo should wait ten years and then randomly announce that Switch 1 sales were roughly 170 million in total but they stopped counting after 155. 😆

I wish they would just give us the release dates for this and Metroid already.

It feels like they have about fifty of these games, all very similar to each other as if they have AI creating most of them. :/

Less interested now it’s just a partner showcase though.

If Switch 2 is genuinely struggling to hit 60fps it’s a bit concerning. Devs should at least implement 40fps though!

I only played TOTK briefly after the upgrade and didn’t see any huge differences to be honest! I do with Odyssey and some others but not so much for TOTK. 🤷‍♂️

@Reiditandweep Exactly, it’s something new that has a throwback and many nods to the orginals but it would be boring as hell if it were just the same old same old again.

I am waiting until I have enough shopping points so I can get the digital version for between 30-40 Euro. I imagine many more are going digital these days than before.

@sethfranum You mean the Hogwarts video? I just watched it and they say Switch 2 is sometimes in line with Xbox Series S and sometimes with PS4. And that is true. Series S footage definitely looks better on that video.

And I disagree that they dismissed the Switch 2. They have said many great things about it so far.

Now that I actually watched the video, this is indeed clickbait…..the review is mostly glowing praise! And actually has made me want to get the game sooner rather than later.

I don’t get the comments by some that this kind of game is not a good fit for DK, or that Wario would have been a much better fit. I think DK using his arms this way is very appropriate. If anything, the thing that I am not keen on is the graphical style/colour palette. When I look at it I see traces of Odyssey and many more traces of BOTW/TOTK. It doesn’t „look“ like a DK game to me. If I were the reviewer, which happily I am not, I would be docking a point for this rather than any slight frame rate drops.

I also barely played Bowser’s Fury but got back into it now on Switch 2.

See, this is what I meant when I said I am looking forward to proper Switch 2 games and not Switch 1 upgrades.

@SalvorHardin I didn't say that's all I want. I said I expect better graphics in future games where they have been built specifically for the Switch 2. As much as I like MKW it doesn't scream new console game to me at all.

I think you can tell too. Neither look like real Switch 2 games to me. I am expecting much better games graphics wise in the future.

I think MKW is a solid 8, perhaps even a 9.

Seems a bit overly harsh given that you gave Welcome Tour 8/10...that's a 6 at best!

Love mine and have had no issues so far. I do wish two big Nintendo games had been released at launch and then DK coming later as is it. Hope there's something I like coming out soonish. However, I am emjoying MKW and playing some of the upgraded games so I can wait a few months!

So many smaller games companies shutting down lately….not good at all!

Psst, whoever wrote this article, it's good practice to explain what VRR is too. At the very least, what an abbreviation stands for should be written in brackets the first time it is used.

I received an email from Nintendo asking me to review the game. I did and got 30 platinum points for doing so. This is the way to make your frustrations known and give them feedback.

I have really enjoyed playing it so far.

@Olliemar28 Yes, to be clear was not a criticism of this site. I meant generally, it’s time for Nintendo etc. to start providing that information because I think now we are possibly at the point where digital sales are greater than physical?

I think at this point we need charts that take digital sales into account as clearly more and more people have accepted the digital format now. For Switch 2 I doubt I will buy any physical media unless absolutely necessary.

Oh they were definitely positive here, as well as in other videos. I did feel they were a bit too negative about the lcd screen but the rest has been fair.

Anyway, this is good news. Haven’t had time to try the two Zelda games mentioned here but really looking forward to it plus Bowsers Fury and even Toad. And it got me back playing Odyssey which I am probably only halfway through from Switch 1 days!

So I am fine with no big new games except MKW as there’s still a lot of upgraded old stuff to enjoy.

Do any of the Splatoon games have a demo? Never played them.

PS5 sales are laughably bad in Japan.

I caved and bought it, but it’s pretty boring and should have been free! It’s NOT worth the money.

I am guessing 40 Euro but probably 50 knowing Nintendo!

Was getting this anyway but even better now with three more tracks. Very good value for money!

Just had a go of MKW and Odyssey, looks fine to me for handheld mode. Overblown non-issue in my opinion.

Glad I play 99% docked. But probably I wouldn’t even notice these issues anyway.
