Re: Rumour: Pokémon Fans Speculate That Next Week's 'Big' Announcement Is Let's Go Johto

Jayofmaya

I've taken so many breaks through playing Let's Go, Long, long breaks. It really isn't as addicting as the old games. I find myself more inclined to level up the mon by taking them out for a walk in the PokeBall Plus than to do the annoying catching mechanic to level them up... If you prefer to play the game by not actually playing the game then there's something wrong with it. I honestly feel like you should have had the option to battle and wear down the Pokemon, so it would be motionless maybe or be subdued in some way to catch, or you could finish it like the rest of the series and gain XP like that. I don't want to send the professor 50 Pidgeys. If they could make those changes, though, I'd be game.

Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Nintendo Switch Online SNES Games

My top 10 would be:
1. Super Mario World
2. Link to the Past
3. Kirby Super Star
4. Kirby's DreamLand 3
5. Yoshi's Island
6. Super Mario Kart
7. Stunt Racer FX
8. Demon's Crest
9. Super Ghouls n Ghosts
10. Super Metroid

Played all of these before the service. Only played through Ghouls Ghosts again because of save states, ridiculously hard. Currently playing through Link to the Past, just got sent to the alt world by the wizard. Probably only my third play through of it, but also completed Link Between Worlds couple times which is mostly just a better version. Definitely completed Mario World more times than I can count on my fingers, too.

Re: Video: Missed The Wholesome Games Direct? Watch The Whole Thing Here

Potentially Errand Boy, Sayri, Garden Story and Haven... Will check out more on those. There were some others which only had the potential to show some more footage which then may have piqued my interest. For instance The Mouse and the Spirit had nothing, nor Rainy Season, nor Critter Cove. The online RPG one just had someone walking around... No wonder it was exclusive footage, jeez. Baffling choice on some of the "game play" clips. I mean Ollie-Oop clearly ends at 32:28 but the published couldn't even tell and marked the next game 32:34. Nintendo Direct may have influenced others, but clearly not every publisher will be good at the format.

Hmmm, have to disagree, the party affinity was fun to build during conversations but having to check what gifts were favoured was just plain boring and a pain. Also, the sheer amount of side quests that you sometimes need to do is so outdated, fetch quests or kill "x amount of" quests were so tiring, this was made worse by the enemies dropping a million different things, 95% of which you sell or throw away. I can only recall about 8 or so side quests that had any interesting parts and about 2 with cut scenes and dialogue. The combat system and environments are really where it shines. The story is decent enough as well. The extra fat is what brings it down. If the extra content is anything like the original and filled with the aforementioned fat, then it wouldn't be anything more than a 7 from me.

On a PushSquare article there was a rumour of a return, that basically stated that Konami was letting the IP get used but doing 0 work and getting royalties. I guess this is along those lines, but it depends if any companies are prepared to negotiate with them for an actual new installment. Honestly, it would be much better for them to sell it, but they clearly won't.

Who cares how many tv appearances, fans or whatever other definition of celebrity all these comments keep touting? If they're at least donating something themselves, which I'm sure they are and doing it for a decent cause, where's the harm? I know the world is pretty screwed up right now and it isn't looking much brighter around the corner, but can we try to be a little less cynical and be a little more positive? Spite will help no one, including yourself.
