Re: Activision Reveals The Final Grand Prix For Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

@Woomy_NNYes Hey, bit late but I managed it! I found that sticking to the left of the rock pillar was the only way. Then no more boosts until after passing the second mine where you can get away with 1 then do another on the way up to the last mines/the finish line and 1 more after. You can scrape keeping blue fire even on fairly poor reserves. Good luck if you haven't already beaten it

@clvr Ahh yeah! Polyphia are awesome, I suppose they have a decent mix of sounds with the new stuff and probably would have been better to mention first. Haha The other ones I know are Chon, Intervals and Save Us From the Archon that are kinda like those others.
Elephant in the Room was crazy haha Good stuff! Reminded me of some parts of Plini and Sithu Aye as well. Saved it on my Youtube playlist. I haven't heard much Dream Theatre, but Jon Petrucci did something called Guitar Universe 2.0 which basically has him, Rusty Cooley, Tony MacAlpine, Tosin Abasi, Jason Richardson and a host of other good guitarists just jamming together on stage and I've given it a good amount of listens.

I will give the newer Mewithoutyou a listen in a minute and let ya know what I think
Sad to hear they're breaking up, though :/ They should do a European tour, they're big enough to do that for a final tour at least! The same thing happened with a band I used to play a lot called The Afterimage and they never got big enough to tour outside of the Canada/US but a band called The Parallel I've just discovered have a really similar sound so I'm trying to get them here somehow.

Great! I'll always keep writing and experimenting and so I will show you some stuff and see how we do if you feel you're ready in the future.

@rockodoodle You should keep doing the challenges when this Grand Prix is over so you can build coins easily and eventually get all the items from the Pit Stop. Also, if you want to know how I got good I completed Adventure on Normal, then raced online for a while (probably a couple hours 3 days a week), watched a couple of youtube videos for technique then beat Tropy time trials and within a month (playing on weekends) I could do Oxide's ghosts. I usually don't do hard games so you should be able to do it easier if you like challenges. I have yet to totally master the mechanics but I consistently come in 3rd at least online now and also hold speed through most tracks.

Since this will be the last post on this, anyone who doesn't have the game and is bordering, buy it! We have 150,000 players a month atm on Switch but that will likely drop a little when the GPs are over and a few months have passed. So much content and it will all be available to get in the game soon. Just play online on weekends and the new challenges after this GP will net coins to get all the items easily. In fact, makes it all worth it for joining the online races! Has a match up system if you are not skilled at the game, too. See you online!

Guessing it has a world map with random encounters, then. I can't stand it on 2D games like Breath of Fire. Maybe it's because it's a lot less visually appealing and tight feeling. I don't mind it in games like FF VII, IX and even Setsuna recently. I remember they all had a clear path and close locations, though, so that may be it, too. Not sure, so many Jrpgs to choose from, too.

@clvr Ahaha yeah. Will send you when it's done

2) Yeah, it was 4:46. It was the second youtube result for me if you wanna check it out!
Yeah, it's cool. I'll definitely be giving their catalogue a go now on my journeys. Currently listening to Cheval by Igorrr and there's nothing more self indulgent than that. XD

3) Awesome, I think 'Said the King to the River' was my favourite, as much as I liked the other 2. Had a hard hitting chorus and such speedy rhymes and vocal rhythms
Not sure if you checked out Saetia, you may like them. The song "Venus and Bacchus" is a little like Such Small Hands, though the screams were very high which isn't to everyone's tastes but it's 19 years old now! Good piece of history along the post-hardcore journey.

4) I actually was gonna mention about Craig's vocals haha Yeah, they're off at times and a bit whiny but if you ever heard anything off "Illuminaudio" when they changed vocalists, it didn't really have the same feel for me, so I just got used to the less good parts of his vocals. I usually sing over him anyway haha

I listened to Sound of Animals some years ago but never got into them. I know they were a super group of some sorts. If I could trouble you once more for suggestions?
Also, if you like Saosin and Secret and Whisper, I want to throw one more band out there that I'm sure you'll like; 'The Sound of Us' by A Lot Like Birds. Some of their others songs are good technically as well, polyrythms and time signature changes and all that, but that one is catchy

5) Yeah, I only heard a couple of their later songs but without Tilian it didn't seem as good. Usually when I go instrumental I go full prog rock and metal like Animals as Leaders, Plini or Sithu Aye. Incredible artists! Especially Tosin fron AaL guitar techniques.

6) Ahh, ok! I didn't know that's how he wrote. Never really watched interviews with many bands!

I used to play an acoustic cover of A Sweater Poorly Knit by Mewithoutyou when I gigged and had their first 2 CD albums But I'll definitely be on the lookout for a lyric breakdown as I never really sung any other than Sweater.
I know Silent Planet has a lot of references to religious scripture but that's not the same thing ahaha

7) By all means if you will send a link when you get the chance I'd be glad to have a listen Also, maybe in the future I could try sending some jams to you and see if you want to do a distant project! I've always wanted to give it a go and also I have no hardcore or metal musicians around me, really. I live in the country and the few here are classic rock, pop and folk so that's why I write alone!

Glad you enjoyed

@Rebel81 It's a little more circumstantial than the other cases. However, I wouldn't be surprised. It's just he's been pretty careless about his philandering so never had him pegged as wanting the children. I don't know man. It's terrible that there are no proper investigations or protesting against these people. Imagine how much would be uncovered if we had a full on rebellion and raid of these people's homes and personal computers. Still hoping, one day.
