It's kinda cool, but tbh if this had been released no one would care about it. It needed serious work to even be a passable game. More mechanics, details, level redesign and expansion. It looks so lazy, worst of all is they did make some decent environments but did nothing with them. Maybe the tapwave had more limitations but even then they could have done a better job.
@SuperTidyGames "Your're" needlessly provoking a man for simply explaining to someone who was questioning why the game sells well. Perhaps his expression of disinterest in the title bothered you?
@techaspike Very true. I think they wanted an older look for him but at the expense of realism haha I haven't booted up the original in some time! Thanks for the info.
Yeah, or maybe he wanted to go for wise old granpa Axel look xD
@ArtiomNLS @RobFLandersN64 I know it's you, Infuse Studio. Maybe you should go and make your game better instead of complaining about people criticising it for being poor.
Just saw this on YouTube! Haven't been on here for a few days. What on earth? Followed this steam greenlight debacle back in the day and now Nintendo? Jeez what a waste of everyone's time.
Went with Europe on this one. The reason is the subtlety of the enemy creeping behind but yet unable to get these high up Pikmin maybe. Also focuses on the main component and charm of the game and that is the Pikmin themselves. Olimar was ok and all, but I always wanted to save as many Pikmin as I could, more so than win the game haha
@UmbreonsPapa I'd suggest giving the Underground games a go, if at least the first one. I agree that American Wasteland wasn't quite as good. It felt a little, I don't know, jankier? xD Like a team that saw the Underground games and tried to imitate them but didn't do as good of a job. Also, the way they tried to do open world where they had you essentially skate through loading screens was kind of obvious and got a bit boring as they were too empty. Even though Underground 1 is level based, the story is decent enough and game play is fun, it just feels more polished.
@elpardo1984 Fair, I thought you were dismissing anything past Pro Skater 4. Did you play Proving Ground? I stopped at Project 8 as I didn't like it anywhere near as much, but just read it was quite a return to formular, but with mixed elements of Project 8.
I already hacked my Wii years ago and it can do everything you need it to. Dvd player, Wii and Gamecube back ups. I found the GBA emulator on it to be kind of trash when I tried years back but it may be better now. I still use it to play Gamecube games and Mario world hacks on the SNES emulator, but that's the only time I turn it on as I play my wii titles on my 100% legit Wii U. So, really, what would this have done? Perhaps allow China to make super, super cheap knock off units?
That's not even slightly cryptic haha. Anyway, I still have yet to complete the second one on my ps3. I will definitely get round to it, but it hasn't gripped me as much as the first one. The convoluted business with limited travel and trying to figure out which galaxies to fly from to get to an unactive relay, meaning you won't miss loads of stuff is annoying. I can't find a chart of where to fly from or a map on the net, for some reason. The first was simple, you could go anywhere and everything levels with you.
@holygeez03 @elpardo1984 @UmbreonsPapa @Gasarakii @SpacedDuck @KoopaTheQuick @Muddy_4_Ever @Ryu_Niiyama Have none of you played past Pro Skater 4? Underground 1 and 2 were my absolute favourites and that's coming from someone who completed Pro Skater 2 at least 20 times when they were a kid. I even liked American Wasteland quite a lot. They never strayed too far from formular back then. Mechanics were always fun, you just had the ability to sit still without holding the down button by getting off the board in the later games. Underground 2 even had a classic mode in it. The story of Underground 1 was also interesting enough that I will still play it today as well.
SNK Heroines was trash. I liked the Tag Team and moves but it was just fan service and didn't even get any support. The only other fighting game I like is Smash Bros and even though the command inputs are too complicated, Tekken. Blade Strangers is the only one I want to try, as it stands.
@ivory_soul People are stupid. Real corruption and cover ups go on in most governments and yet people are believing such preposterous nonsense instead of demanding more action about real issues. Apparently 5g towers are being damaged due to it. Anyway, keep up the good work.
You know, didn't think about it till now, but seeing that statue made me realise that Blaze seems to have aged by about 5 years but Axel seems to be pressing 50. From the old box art there was definitely no more than 8 years between them, if that. Blaze looks about 32 tops, though. Don't know why but it is a niggle.
Haha Ecco the dolphin? That's ancient. Guess (other than Rock Band) it means the older system titles? Tbf Mario Kart 7 was like the only time I went up against Japanese players online and beat them regularly, so it is believable. Then again, Mario Kart is mostly just luck of items.
Doesn't look bad. The extra playable characters I know all games but the 3 on the right column. They probably won't be in the Switch version anyway. Lol
Wow, already? Was planning on getting Earthbound 1 and 2. Also, a hand full of Wii U physicals which I wanted to update. Guess I better just buy those next month instead of any other platform.
I only completed this when I had the 3ds version. It seemed tedious and annoying when I was younger. I even used a guide on the 3ds with my first play through, which I never usually do. The time limit is annoying. Yes, you can reset it but you'll have to do tasks over again and get back to your place. It can all be done with ease if you know EXACTLY what you're doing. Then you'll only be doing minimal resets. However, you'll still have to skip to boss rooms and beat them again to access other side bits and heart pieces you can collect with new items and such. It was repetitive killing the first boss like 4 times tbh. I still found the game fun, like another Ocarina of Time, but it doesn't stand up to it's predecessor and I doubt I'll play through more than one more time in my life.
Honestly couldn't decide between the 2 contenders, so went with the hilariously bad one. I mean, not many covers have actually made me laugh out loud, but this, this made me burst out followed by little giggles like I was a school kid again.
I mean, it looks like that mega man was having a bad day; First of all, his newly acquired helmet replacement doesn't fit his head... Secondly, a wasp seems to have got caught in his suit when putting it on, leaving his right leg with a nasty swelling because he's mildly allergic to the toxin and to top it all off, he's accidentally followed through when trying to let out a quiet one. Now he's looking around to see if anyone has noticed and find the best route to a public lavatory. Poor guy.
That gut did the Necro dancer soundtrack? Had no idea. Saw him do a vid with Petrucci who is a decent guitarist. He's not bad himself, but I think daddy paid the way for his whole career. Anyway, sounds like a good idea, though.
Watched a video where he answers the most searched questions on Google. Seems quite the laugh and down to earth. Casually asking for fruit and codes like no one will care seems about normal for him after seeing that video. Haha
Honestly found it way less gripping, myself. Tried several times to watch the first half of the season without falling asleep, then just stopped there.
How does Disney, a company that publish other peoples stories, need Walt disney? They operated the same, with or without him. Not sure on how Nintendo would do, not as well for sure, because it's a different scenario, but they would continue to make good games.
@PBandSmelly Nintendo doesn't always get it right... Amiibo Festival, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, WarioWare: Snapped!, Tenchu DS, Flip Wars, Paper Airplane Chase, I'm sure there are many more that aren't up to scratch that get released anyway, I have no idea about anything pre Wii because I didn't have a GC and only had popular games on N64 and SNES when I was a kid. Personally I feel Mystery Dungeon games are also a poor quality product but Pokemon fans seem to like anything.
It bloody better do if they never had it connect with ANYTHING. Even if it's just a Switch download of the mini games of the Super Mario 64 DS because they only remake the main game for the release. Something. Just something.
Honestly, Crysis remastered + ray tracing + Nintendo switch was not something I'd expected to hear, at all. I mean if they're actually bringing Crysis to modern age standards it will be more than tough for the Switch to handle. It was a very neat looking game back in the day that even top line PCs struggled to handle. Obviously everything's moves forward since then, but ray tracing on Switch? Interested but haven't heard anything like this before so we shall see.
Shockingly, I am not siding with anyone. Office Create churn out the same trite nonsense and milk people, so I never liked them anyway. It's kind of funny if these guys just ignored them tbh, so if anything, at least Planet gave me and my friend a laugh when I chatted about the situation. Not fussed on who sues (or fails to) who on the legal side.
Got the Spongebob Movie video game on ps2 when I was like 11 and it was surprisingly not terrible. Good enough to complete in fact. I always wanted to try this one so will probably give it a go.
Played Left 4 Dead on PC back in the day. Never got this when it came out. Imagine it's hard to find a game on most platforms now. If it's free in Epic it might still be populated there, though. Not sure tbh, depends on price.
"Our fans must show support if you want another game. That game will be mobile only and have mtx. Kthxbai.". On a serious note, not really a fan of this jrpg series. I have FF VIII and IX on Switch, also have I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear. Plan on getting Oninaki too. Not sold on any other traditional jrpgs on the Switch yet, though.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #43 - Super Turrican
Eh to them all. I like the Hudson Soft logo tbh, more than any of the box art, it brings back memories. So I went with Hudson Soft, the logo.

@RPGamer Why? There have been a number of decent European covers in these polls, probably fewer wins the others, but that's no big deal.
