@SteveDaSteve Much of art came from dreams, which can't really be accurately measured in how they're formed. You could argue that our dreams are influenced, but you can tell that to the space alien stories written in the 1800s. Not all art could be an amalgamation of what came before it, because there would have to be a definitive end point.

@Beaucine I was also thinking this... If it was easier to mod the games (without cfw or a high power pc) then I bet the naysayers would give a mod or 2 a go, anyway.

@KateGray Any chance of an article about how games (particularly Nintendo) have inspired music? Songs like 50 Cent/Timbalake's Ayo Technology or Kanye West's Guilt Trip are some big examples and then there's an entire genre started by HORSE the Band which is titled "Nintendocore" and that is starting to make a come back with progressive bands and the record label 'N Core Lives'. Then there's Anamaguchi which features Miku (World's first proper AI singer) in one of their songs. Indie suit Postal Service did a song called Colony which relies on 8 bit sounds. Then one of my personal favourites Sabrepulse which started off before the chiptune craze used by such artists as Vexento and Laszlo. I'm sure there are many other examples I've missed so feel free to suggest some!

@Freddyfred If you enjoy roaming around a somewhat open hub world looking for level entrances that don't seem to exist, then wait 10 minutes every time you want to go in/out of the only town (at least the only one I ever found) then this is the game for you! I believe a lot of the collectables respawned as well, which is a pet peeve of mine in these old platformers. Just make stuff cost less.

I played through a lot of this on the ps2 but never finished it. If I wasn't interested back then I doubt I will be now. The first was good but I think this one just got boring. I never got to play #3, though, so I would be more interested in that.

Yeah, I read this and thought they're just gonna go with the basic premise, to the point it will hardly be an adaptation but rather borrowed ideas. I'm surprised they didn't just do that and not pay a penny to the YT'er.

Cool, rated Spyro Season of Ice, Crash XS (apparently Huge Adventure in US) and Nitro Kart now they've been added. Other than that I really only had Mario, Pokemon and Zelda tbh! Always wanted to try Golden Sun, though.

I got the Mushroom Park one for my son, There's another similar variant and a Bowsers Castle track also. They're both waaaaay cheaper. What on earth are they thinking? There are other add ons but annoyingly not available here in the UK.

But wouldn't this make it impossible to finish some shrines and such? Also, invincibility is a bit too much if a handicap. I like the cool combat glitches that make the game flashy but they were all discovered after I thoroughly finished the game so never learned them.

Dragon Age is great Though, all the faff is what I didn't like, but this article is about choosing not to take part in what you don't want to, I'm a completion freak, though. Compulsive xD I'm a little surprised you didn't finish the story of BotW but chose to do a lot of the other stuff haha Each to their own, though.

@PBandSmelly Does someone's visual appearance really make them unqualified to perform a song or project their enthusiasm towards art and culture? Althought this is pretty obvious; if you don't have expectations of how an a performer should look, it makes it much easier to enjoy anything they might create.

I dig all styles of music but am primarily an avid metal listener, so most game/franchise soundtracks usually don't have me ecstatic. However, Post Malone can sing and in fact play guitar very well. He tried out for a couple metal bands before going solo, say what you want about his music but he has put in the time to be a musician, even if you think this is not the case. Saying that, there are so many struggling artists out there it would be nice to see games promoting them and they would also get to do it for free. It's not really like Pokèmon needs to advertise to the world, like Post Malone fans have never heard of Pokemon so they will suddenly gain new money sources from his performance.

You can always regain that part of yourself that had that sense of wonder and curiosity that tends to get lost in adulthood! Takes a bit of exploring your own psyche and mindfulness, though. I have been playing Ghost of a Tale recently and enjoying it much like I used to with games such as Sonic, Link to the Past and Mario World. I never could complete the games 100% back when I was young, often getting stuck at the later portions or even last bosses, but I enjoyed it all so much. Apply the logic of games to life: We play our avatars for experience... Doing this makes it all much easier to face the next challenge and everything becomes a little more brighter. The fact he spent his days being unhappy is an unfortunate circumstance, I mean if he was real. Really, life is an experience of consciousness and it's best to enjoy the ride in whatever current unique form you have adopted. If we assume all of the events that happen in Mario's adventure happen within a relatively short time then he could still be fairly young. It wouldn't be a fun life if Bowser was coming back every week pulling the same old shenanigans but hey ho. Also, let's not think about the space travel introduced in Galaxy.

@rjejr Haha a bit of exercice never hurt anyone Yeah! That's the thing, isn't it? Sometimes it seems easier to live with kids all the time than it does other adults! I have a 3 year old so whilst he is demanding sometimes he is still learning rapidly and because nursery isn't open me and his mom are the only source of learning really, so I'm kept very busy at the moment as well. Good to hear you're doing well, though

Nawww. As a player of these titles as a kid I have plenty of nostalgia for them, but the Underground titles were just better. I played them when I was like 11-15, so there's still that nostalgia hit but honest they just had bigger levels, better goals and more mechanics. I haven't bought the remakes of 1+2 because I just don't have the same interest.

Looks alright! I have at points before whim purchased platformers, though. Woodle Tree is the most recent and boy did I regret it. Fine for 5 year olds, but not for me.

Hey, when I release my EP I'll give people permission to use it in any streams they want. Free publicity for anyone that doesn't already have millions of listeners. Never understood why (non music based) games don't use soundtracks of smaller artists.

@ianl579 Yeah, but the concept and art style is cool. I don't mind playing online for a little after a campaign, I tried to play DA Inquisition online after but it was dead. I hope FF15 Multiplayer still has some players as I'd like to do that during the campaign I'm starting. Only exclusively online game I've played was Fall Guys and it got boring, also. I feel a good campaign is always necessary for when a game loses majority of it's players. Is there even an AI option in Splatoon 2? I never checked.

I bought the first game and completed the campaign, played online for 20 minutes then dropped it. For some reason I still bought the second game, never completed the campaign as it was just as linear and uninspiring, then never really played online. Just sold it! I won't be making the mistake of buying this one, unless it looks like they actually put some effort into solo play and a story, but it's very doubtful.

This is the only non-handheld Zelda I've never completed (minus Zelda 2... bleh) so was the best announcement without doubt.

This was a freebie on ps+ so probably not for actual money. It can't be played solo at all, so will be dead eventually.

I got Garden Warfare 2 for like 1.74 on ps4 and the community is still booming most days! It has been great fun and I even completed the tacked on little campaign bits. Not sure about this one, though.

I had Pullblox and Fallblox on 3ds. Very fun and sometimes challenging games. I certainly did things in a weird and insufficient way sometimes to complete the levels. I also download a number I think? Also, wasn't there a level creator?

This guy is into his metal still, too bad he doesn't incorporate any in his music at all. Some of his songs aren't bad, though.

If you're getting this for the first time, you're in for a treat. Fantastic game, the last world is quite tough indeed with all the instances in the last cube level. The fact it has even more content than before is awesome. I remember being surprised when completing what I thought was the last world, then going on to complete what I thought MUST have been the last world, then getting like 4 more haha

That movement style still looks janky. I guess a lot of people enjoyed it, but I would prefer it with different physics. I have only ever played the SNES ome thanks to save states and still lost because I missed the items. Never really my cup of tea, I suppose

I never noticed any problems when I played MK7, Heroes of Ruin, Splatoon, MK8 online. I also played a limited amount of Smash online and never had problems. I guess my total online time is probably only around 90 hours on Nintendo service, so maybe that's why.

Smb3 and World. Obviously nostalgia plays it's hand. I love a load of the detailed hacks as well. As far as others, they're all 8 and above. The wii/wii u titles being a 9 and the 3ds/ds are 8s. Never played any others except the first 2 nes titles. They were good but I've only fully completed the OG SMB, #2 can suck it.
