Escapist Indie Showcase

Following the unfortunate cancellation of E3 this year, Summer 2020 is now jam-packed with online digital events showcasing video games to look forward to. Closely followed by the three-day Guerrilla Collective event over the weekend, the two-hour opening show of The Escapist Indie Showcase was broadcast on Thursday 11th June and featured an impressive 38 confirmed Switch games by our count. Blimey!

We've rounded up every confirmed Switch game from The Escapist Indie Showcase. These include new reveals of Switch games, trailers for previously announced titles, plus reminders for games that have recently launched or are launching imminently on Nintendo's console.

Windbound

Shipwrecked alone on an unchartered island explore, adapt and navigate the land and perilous seas to stay alive.

As Kara, you are a warrior caught at sea in a fierce storm, adrift from your tribe. Thrown from your boat, at the mercy of the turbulent waters, you are tossed onto the shores of the Forbidden Island, a mysterious paradise.

With no boat, no food or tools, just the will and skill to survive, uncover this beautiful island’s rich resources, craft tools and weapons to hunt, and defend yourself against nature itself with its wild and fantastical creatures.

Dreamscaper

Battle a deep depression in a young woman's subconscious. Every slumber is a different random dungeon, and blending elements from brawlers, top-down shooters, you must unlock the power of your dreams to see a new day.

Black Book

“Black Book” is a dark RPG Adventure, based on Slavic mythology, in which you play as a young sorceress. Battle evil forces, aid commonfolk and travel across the rural countryside, where humans live alongside mythological creatures.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated

Here we are in the Kelp Forest, an interesting area with many sights to see, for those that don't get hopelessly lost first.

Drive Buy

Drive Buy is a cross-play, vehicular combat game with a delivery twist! Outdrive, outsmart and most importantly, out deliver you rivals!

Deleveled

Simultaneously control two characters who fall in opposite directions and transfer their momentum through surfaces, allowing each other to reach new heights. Toggle switches, go through one-way walls and traverse over disappearing floors as you navigate this puzzle platformer.

Jack Move

Jack Move is an RPG featuring gritty cyberpunk story telling, turn based battles and beautiful modern pixel art. Take on the role of Noa, a vigilante hacker who is thrust into a world of murder, kidnapping and dark research after her father goes missing.

There Is No Light

There Is No Light is a brutal action-adventure set in a grim underground world ruled by the mysterious Church of the Great Hand. Blast your way through the hordes of enemies, fight dangerous bosses and explore the world the way you want.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page

2D Adventure Platforming. Navigate beautiful 2D worlds set inside a young girl’s diary by walking on the words and using them as tools to solve different puzzles.

Breakpoint

Breakpoint is the twin-stick slasher where your weapons explode. Break through the swarm to claim your spot on the online leaderboard.

Hotshot Racing

Hotshot Racing is a blisteringly fast arcade-style racing game from Curve Digital, Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Digital. Fusing drift handling, razor-sharp retro visuals and an incredible sense of speed to create an exhilarating driving experience.

ProtoCorgi

Play as Bullet, a C³ class (Cute Cyber Corgi) cybernetic dog in his quest for saving his owner, a brilliant scientist kidnaped by a strange alien race that wants to rule the galaxy.

El Hijo: A Wild West Tale

El Hijo - A Wild West Tale will remain a non-violent stealth title, focusing on exploration and strategy. Delve into a world full of monks, bandits and other desperados and make your way through deserts, monasteries, and boomtowns. There’s no telling what will happen in this wild west tale.

Fallen Angel

Become Lucifer and aim for the throne of Heaven itself. Battle angelic armies and ascend through weird and warped holy realms in this stylish hack ‘n’ slash action RPG.

A Juggler's Tale

An atmospheric 3D sidescroller set in a medieval puppet theater play. A Juggler’s Tale offers fascinating riddles and intense story moments all around the mystical puppet theatre setting. The strings are not only a visual representation of the strong connection between storyteller and puppet, they are also our main game mechanic, creating lots of unique puzzle moments.

Beyond Blue

Beyond Blue is a single-player narrative adventure that takes you deep into our planet’s beating blue heart.

Set in the near future, Beyond Blue explores the mysteries of our ocean through the eyes of Mirai, a deep-water explorer and scientist. Become a part of a newly-formed research team using groundbreaking technologies to see, hear, and interact with the ocean in a more meaningful way than has ever been attempted

Switch port confirmed to be in development, although no date has been announced.

Haven

An RPG adventure about love and freedom. Yu and Kay have escaped to a forgotten planet. Play the two lovers settling in an unknown world. Survive together, glide over the plains, camp, restore the planet, fight if you have to. All that matters is to stay together.

Resolutiion

Resolutiion is a fast-paced action-adventure created by two angry German brothers leading a band of vagrants who loaded it with lovely pixels, dirty jokes, deep ideas and badassemotional tunes for 20 hours of punishing combat, rewarding exploration, and layered storytelling. Will you be the player or will you be played? In the Infinite Empire nothing is as it seems.

Hellpoint

Introducing Hellpoint, a dark augurist action RPG for PC and consoles, brought to you by Canadian developer Cradle Games. Embark on a soul conjuring journey aboard a derelict space station and figure out the twisted series of events that led to an occult quantum catastrophe. Hunt, or be hunted by insane mobs, decadent daemons, and deep space monsters, all under the constant watch of the black hole.

Axiom Verge 2

You may think you already know the world of Axiom Verge. Think again. Indra alone can navigate the breach. Chicken Police

Chicken Police is a story- and dialogue-heavy game combining elements of the visual novel and classic adventure genres. There will be more than 30 characters to talk to, with some requiring you to apply fierce interrogation tactics. Collect tons of clues, evidence and sensitive personal information from the shady characters of Clawville to be used ruthlessly against them!

Figment Creed Valley

Raji: An Ancient Epic

UnFound

UnFound is a story-driven nonlinear real-time tactical stealth game set in a beautiful world. Take control of a deactivated robot who wakes up accidentally and goes on a journey to find out his identity and sparks an uprising of the clones against the system in a world of gorgeous scenery and moody environments. Every situation presents you with options.

UnFound is developed entirely by Mohsen Mousavi, an Emmy winning visual effects supervisor with 15 years of experience in blockbuster feature films and TV series.
