WHERE THE HECK IS RED LANTERN?
Windbound and maybe Garden Story, if it comes out on Switch?
I'm sure there are multiple there I'd be interested in, but that's too many games and trailers for me to look through so I'll just check them out individually when they're close to release.
Black Skylands is only one that peaked my interest. Nice selection of game types coming though!
ProtoCorgi looks cute.
Finally! a spiritual successor to Endless Ocean with Beyond Blue! xD
Nice list of games, hopefully there's a hidden gem within those 38 indie selection.
Some really cool looking games there, personally cannot wait for Hotshot Racing, but unfortunately on Switch it comes with the worry the Switch ports will be rubbish.
This isn't a slight on the Switch hardware which is perfectly capable but on the opitmisation done by the game devs. Just look at Remothered up there, I remember the first game on Switch....
Come on devs, do the Switch fans proud!
I'm probably just gonna get the Spongebob game for 30 bucks. Not really a fan of indie.
@TheFullAndy I think a lot of devs just don’t have the technical skills they really need. They’ve become too reliant on game engines and 3rd party libraries. Which isn’t only their fault
@roboshort
Well it certainly isn't the fault of paying customers, and even using game engines and third party libraries they can still optimise better.
I want to support these devs but I expect a well made game otherwise they can do one.
I really like the look of Windbound. It looks like the best parts of Breath of the Wild (hunting, crafting, being in the wild) mixed with the island hopping of Windwaker.
@roboshort
It's not that devs have become too reliant on game engines such as Unreal and Unity. If it wasn't for those engines, these small indie teams (or individuals!) wouldn't be able to make the games they do, pretty much at all. I'll take the occasional low frame rate for the thriving indie scene we now enjoy.
@N64-ROX Dont get me wrong, I think game engines are great. they make things really easy once you learn them. But that is a problem too and it is easy to hack stuff together with them or develop without much of a plan... Not enough emphasis is put on fundamentals, I think, which leads to poor performance.
Just noticed "The Last Spell" has a music artist logo I have been a fan of since his first video and it's actually him that did the soundtrack, so it will be absolutely awesome. Check out "The Algorithm" if you haven't heard them!
Nice work, thanks for putting this together
