@BlaizeV They do consider it a mainline game though, only two out of 9 Mario Kart games have ever had a number. 7 & 8, which are the outliers and was weirdly unimaginative and jarring at the time. The developer interview said they considered the name 9 but World felt better.
They’re not going to release 9 in the future, if they resorted back to numbers it would 100% be 10 or X.
There’s some crates been shown with NDC on them, which I saw speculation being they had been shipped from New Donk City. It’s possible Pauline’s daughter/sister comes out of one of them. Classic stowaway for an adventure plot.
I like my Mario either 2D or RPG so it definitely gave me everything I wanted on the Mario front. I am so so desperate for Donkey Kong to get some love though.
One of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve had, whatever this may be in reference to I’m just glad to have a reason for us all to be talking about it.
It’s not like journalists and visitors need to plan their visit, flights and hotels around what day and what time the exhibitions will be on and the show floor will be opening this year. So they can afford a later announcement
@Dethmunk Mythology? Arthur Conan Doyle was still writing this character around 100 years ago. The character and adventures are 100% undisputedly fictional
@DennisNOR That’s basically the premise, there is a kind of puzzle element to the original game where you’re given unlockable tools to interact with the Pokemon and get them to interact with each other - sometimes setting in motion a chain of events that can change the direction of the course or cause rare events to happen, such has evolutions or leading an Electabuzz to a generator and upsetting it causing it to lash out and power up a plant which hatches a Zapdos egg - these score you more points if you get good shots of them happening.
But it’s mainly an on-rails photography game that’s pretty difficult to explain how it’s so fun.
@Chamver There are so many independent developers out there, most of the time these things are made to get attention and fan reactions help them secure jobs or funding. Look at Ember Labs, incredible talent that only got big big when they did a Majora’s Mask fan video, now they’re making their own big budget games. Had they only done original stuff it could have taken longer - or they may have had to start out working for another company.
@Arkay I wasn’t projecting or being a victim, admittedly different parts of my reply were more relevant to some of the other people I tagged in my reply than they were to you, but you do you. NintendoLife managed to cover the story with warnings and without showing any images of lap dancing and with numerous NSFW and reference to getting a guardians approve etc.
Is the degeneracy that he’s gay? That he’s give a fake devil a lap dance? Because all of your Nintendo games are lined with subtext to Shinto which is a pagan polytheistic religion also deemed anti-christ by the same religious groups currently attacking LNX. This article is related to Hades, a switch game which is also about Hades in which you don’t only play as a demon son. It’s based around a pagan polytheist religion that is also ‘degenerate’ in the eyes of the church. Just say you have an issue with gay people and not the whole demonic aspect you bunch of hypocrites.
@earthinheritor this IS apparently an updated app and this updated version is also coming to Playstation & Xbox in the coming months as per Funimation’s press release in December when this got announced.
If it means the door is then open for some actual Zelda Anniversary marketing in the next financial year then don’t let that door hit your ass on the way out Mario.
I hate the ORAS style, and I think it ages really poorly. This is an artistic approach that fits the game and would age better, if it looked a little more polished. When you look at the quality of textures in games like Octopath, the lack of shading in the models really bothers me. Even in the Legends Bidoof and the Pokemon all lack any texture? It’s like the trainers and Pokemon are inflatable.
I love some hard science, interestingly the Top 3 are - as far as I’m concerned - the ‘blue print’ games. Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past are the templates for the 3D/2D games that followed and Breath of the Wild will surely be the archetype for the future of the Zelda series.
@Pod Hindsight is 20:20, they couldn’t have anticipated that the development that was ongoing when they announced it was going to be entirely scrapped and Retro would have to get involved. I think following the initial development plan we’d have already had it.
@Mr-Fuggles777 Their may be DLC but it’s not the kind of game that would benefit from the whole dex. The original only had 63/151 Pokemon in it, and that was across 6(+1) pretty long courses.
@HypnoVike Nintendo, a corporation whose primary objective is to make money has to protect it’s Intellectual Property. If they hadn’t used a trademarked name in their sales Nintendo wouldn’t have objected to the fundraiser. The blame lies entirely with the fundraiser, if you want to do something positive make sure you can actually do it.
@TG16_IS_BAE Whilst the guy did it well, it was just conceptualising Super Mario Bros which Nintendo owns and Battle Royale style gameplay which is owned by no one. So they haven’t stolen anything, they just followed the same concept which was just as uninspired in the first instance no matter how well it was executed he was still stealing their intellectual property 🙄
@BlackenedHalo But then why call it Pokemon? If you want that in a game then play Shin Megami Tensai or Digimon Adventure: Cyber Sleuth. They need to find a way to translate what they’ve already go into a better system.
@RupeeClock Well we know Pokemon Home compatibility is planned for Go so I’m hoping some of the groundwork for that is involved in this maintenance. It would line up nicely with the Pokemon Sword & Shield news.
@playstation_king I don’t believe G-Max moves are in the coding for Pokemon Home, because like Z-Moves they only exist under certain conditions in battles. These are likely to be signature moves for new Galarian Pokemon and new move tutors that were announced in the initial DLC direct.
@Heavyarms55 I’m guessing there’s other projects they want the guys to work on. As these are free updates and not paid DLC unless the game is still selling incredibly well it’s not financially viable to keep producing free content for it.
@MidnightLaces I think the home storage once fully expanded with 1600 slots is pretty ample considering most materials things stack into 30’s. They need to allow storage of recipes and maybe turnips though. More designs space would be nice too!
@arekdougy unfortunately not, anything currently coded into the game will have been the victim of datamining. There’s already people out there hacking the game saves and generating all kinds of stuff.
@RupeeClock if you live in London and plan on going anyway the chance to enter exclusively and not be in the queues and queues of people all battling to grab merch and play the Sword and Shield is still a pretty good prize.
@Bobb I’m the same, I love the Gym Leader rosters and would hate if there was total exclusivity of characters in each game. With Black and White, Drayden or Iris were the Opelucid City Gym Leaders respectively but both were still in the game. Hopefully there’s the opportunity to fight the other either post-game or engaging with them in some other form (such as teaming up with them in-story)
@KBuckley27 you clearly aren’t understanding this. It’s not saying that autosave is a ‘great cutting edge new feature’. Autosave is a development choice and impacts the gameplay. Lots of players will save before legendary battles, full stock of poke balls at their disposal and if they accidentally faint the Pokémon or run out of poke balls when they battle then they can soft reset. Adding this in (if it is forced) would have a massive impact on how people enjoy the games.
My biggest fear is that they don’t push the Switch to its limits. Breath of the Wild was a Wii U game at it’s core. I hope they find a way to build on BotW in ways that gets the most out of the system.
@Equinox MGS3D did end up being a Launch Title on the 3DS and we are getting FFVII on Switch next year. It’s not like these relationships don’t go anywhere.
@LoriLoud Despite the perfect world we all hope to live in. Once the game is complete and being manufactured it’s got to be passed from company to company to get those scaled out to where they need to be. Sakurai and the development team have absolutely no control over that.

They’re completely unbearable. Used to like their content when they were with Nintendo but seem really jaded since. Big shame.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong
I think this will be a Sun & Moon situation. Where the game runs pretty smooth on the ‘New’ Switch and struggles on the original.
The performance dips of Sun & Moon on the original 3DS were horrendous.
Re: Memory Pak: Playing Through Ghost Trick For The First Time
