I think there’s moments where life overall can be so overwhelming that we subconsciously look for a ‘safe place’ being a game you know and love, I just replayed Skyward Sword because I just wanted to and enjoyed it even more than when it released on Switch or Wii, I’d say that particularly every Zelda game is such a joy to replay.

Visually looks beautiful but gameplay-wise I honestly find these games to be aimed at babies, not even toddlers.

Played it when it launched on Xbox and I’d give it an 8/10, amazing story and action sequences but gameplay can get a bit too slow and combat is a bit clunky, I purely judge it as a game as I haven’t watched any of the Indy films and even then it’s very enjoyable.

Whenever Nintendo releases a $90 physical game I’ll concede all this was a 4D chess move to increase the MSRP, meanwhile just live with the fact Star Fox, Splatoon Raiders and Yoshi are fairly priced…

If anything this shows how dynamic pricing varies between games, when a major game like Ocarina of Time or the next 3D Mario releases for $80, same price as Mario Kart World, we’ll have the ultimate confirmation, if the MSRP indeed went up then it’ll release at $90 physically and $80 digital, if not $80 physical and $70 digital, yet still when that happens you still won’t admit you were wrong, same as all other grifters running a disinformation campaign.

Damn people just can’t stop being miserable these days, we got a surprise Direct from a saga coming back after 10 years and your first reaction is complain “why those visuals”, “why a remake”, if you don’t want it just go play the original and let new generations discover a great game.

Seems they’ll actually pull off releasing the final part for the 30th anniversary of the OG game.

I’m honestly tired of leaks, I’d have loved to be surprised with an official announcement in a Direct, rather than now watching that Direct with the expectation of it showing up.

Really excited to play Ocarina of Time again with modern graphics and controls.

However I must say, the rest of this year’s lineup is looking a bit weak at least for my own liking, pretty much I’m only interested in this remake and Splatoon Raiders, hoping June’s Direct reveals more surprises…

@Pillowpants I don’t think so, they having more cash flow doesn’t mean they can start loosing significant money on every hardware sale, Nintendo is even more exposed than Sony as they don’t have a manufacturing division and part of their business is profiting from every console sold.

Many forget that Switch 1 already went up and in the last financial report they did warn a price increase for Switch 2 might be necessary if the RAM situation doesn’t improve.

Why are some people cheering on this because Sony will sell less consoles? Are you really that naive?

Nintendo will HAVE to raise prices, the VRAM situation is just out of control, if even Sony who has more of a reputation of being a hardware manufacturer is being forced to raise prices it’s inevitable that Nintendo does the same thing eventually.

All $20 upgrades have felt like a scam tbh, attempting to sell this game again for $80 is just laughable.

Saw the headline and immediately assumed physical price was going up and digital stayed the same, glad to see it was the other way around.

Lol people already assuming lots of things and some even are celebrating that ‘Nintendo is doomed’ all while every single article for Takashi Mochisuki has been denied by Nintendo shortly after, guy literally lives off farming hate and spreading lies…

I tried out the update and even got the DLC when it launched but I can’t shake the feeling that I’m done with the game after 6 years and 300+ hours. It’s definitely time for a new one in 2026-2027.

2 movie Directs before a proper Direct 😭

My DS Lite is long gone, it got traded for a DSi, then a DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, iPod Touch (my bad), New 3DS XL in red and finally a New 3DS XL on blue/galaxy style that I still keep and treasure to this day.

Btw, seems they actually fixed the Joy-Cons, it’s been more than 6 months and there’s not a single widespread report of Joy-Con drift, and you know the media (currently monetizing on Nintendo’s hate) would post it in a heartbeat.

Sometimes I wish Nintendo takes storytelling and the timelines they set up themselves a bit more seriously…

And this is why I’m gonna avoid buying third-party games on Switch 2, storage is an issue as it’s still more expensive to buy a 1 TB microSD Express card than a 1 TB SSD.

Looks gorgeous already, and again, I’m optimistic in this being a good movie and something worth of the franchise, that won’t stop some people being obnoxiously miserable…

I’m optimistic, the director is a great one, casting seems well done, scenery and costumes from this little sneak peek already looks on point, if they can nail the story and soundtrack I’d be served.

This kinda makes me wish they made another 3D Mario instead of DK Bananza, and I liked it but nowhere near any Mario game, is just felt more of a collectaton instead of a platformer most of the time.

Yeah, for me it was an immediate red flag…

The price is egregious but I would be lying if I said I’m not excited to replay this masterpiece.

Overall 7/10, it’s baffling how Mario Kart World wasn’t even mentioned for an update or expansion while DK Bananza got an expensive DLC for one bonus level just weeks after release and Pokémon got another DLC before even releasing the game, egregiously selling cut content from the base game separately.

I like the games, Mario Galaxy, Metroid and Hades II are my standouts but greed at Nintendo is worst than ever (btw you can’t use vouchers on MP4 or Mario Galaxy).

And I will just watch all cutscenes on YouTube, played through Age of Calamity and it’s definitely not my type of game as I really struggled to finish it, but cutscenes and soundtrack were even better than BOTW’s.

Announcing a DLC for an unreleased game always leaves a bad impression, we all know it’s cut content from the base game being sold separately…

This is way too overpriced even tho these are my favorite games of all time, between this and showing more paid DLCs than new games I’m really not liking how greedy Nintendo is starting this generation.

Honestly, I don’t expect absolutely nothing, remember how Nintendo “celebrated” Zelda’s 35th anniversary…

$399 for the Switch 1 OLED is just WILD, and it’s just a matter of time for the Switch 2 to go up in the Americas, what really, really sucks is that Canadians and Latin Americans are also paying for what the people in the US elected…

As I said earlier, it’s easily the most underwhelming Direct since 2015 specially in the context of a brand new console that launched less than 2 months ago, plus the game-key card issue continues to grow making it very clear this is how 90% of physical third-party games will be handled.

With all this game-key card BS and storage being insanely expensive I will be buying even less third-party games than with the Switch 1 and I only got around 15 of non-Nintendo games since 2017…

Worst Direct I’ve seen since 2015 ngl…
