Re: Game Developers Conference Survey Contains Positive Findings For Nintendo Switch

Iggy-Koopa

@Razer The survey stated that there was more interest in Switch development (36%) vs Xbox (28%).......

That said, console wars are silly. Nothing is a joke, nothing is a fail...... I've started to block specific sites for the same toxic mentality as this.

All this goes to show is that Switch is interesting to developers, almost as interesting as PS4 which is brilliant. They are two totally different systems, and that's a damn good thing.

Re: Review: WWE 2K18 (Switch)

@Shiryu In a heartbeat. Loved that series then, love it now, it rescued me from 3rd party purgatory on GCN and wiped the mat clean with those terrible Wrestlemania titles they released.

Remember that satisfying bell sound upon landing a low blow on the N64 titles? It sounded like a flipping bicycle bell on the early GCN games lol.....

Re: We Can't Ignore The Switch, Says Sony's Head Of Corporate Planning

Iggy-Koopa

Sony aren't going to copy Nintendo at all, there's really little point in that kind of self-sabotage when PS4 is big in the west as well as Japan. I feel that this comment was more side-eyed compliment than anything else, and they will probably just continue to push remote play as a means of 'countering' any Nintendo success.

Besides, they now have mainline Monster Hunter all to themselves in Japan. In fact, they have a massive bulk of all the third party games to themselves in Japan.

They don't have anything to worry about.

Re: Ubisoft Thinks The Next Console Cycle Isn't Far Away, So Where Does That Leave Switch?

Iggy-Koopa

I believe Nintendo will make use of their supplementary computing device before the release a Switch 2, which would essentially boost it to the hallowed 'Tegra X2' levels of performance (that seem to be so important that they almost buried the Switch on reveal when it turned out to be based on the X1).

A 'New' Nintendo Switch will most likely be in the works, but you can bet your left buttock that it won't see the light of day until both Nintendo and Nvidia figure out a way to prevent it from pulling a Galaxy Note and burning your house down.

Switch is fine as it is right now, and when the time is right, they will likely slap a revised chip set in there.

Re: R-Type And Other Irem Arcade Hits Are Coming To Switch

Iggy-Koopa

'Virtual Console' is dead, it's now the Nintendo online service where you will be able to download select titles every month.

Arcade Archives is a fresher approach if you ask me, and I'll gladly keep an eye on what Hmster are doing in the future.

I'm hoping for Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder.

Re: Anniversary: It's One Year Since Nintendo Showed Us The Switch

Watching this trailer back gave me the same feels as it did a year ago. I'll be the first to put my hands up and say that I initially doubted the whole hybrid thing, but as soon as I saw it it all made sense. Yeah, a bit of extra grunt wouldn't have gone amiss, but at what cost would that have come? I can imagine it would have nerfed the portability as well as the price point.

Who could have imagined that it would have turned out the way it did? Doom, Wolfenstein, LA Noire..... What's next??
