Tis the season for giving
Competition: Bring the Joy of Super Mario Odyssey and Nintendo Switch to Someone Special This Christmas
Once again an anonymous Nintendo Life reader wanted to help us spread some festive cheer at this very special time of year.
Anyone fortunate enough to have played Super Mario Odyssey this year would no doubt testify to its capabilities as a joy-simulator. Therefore we all felt that the game (and a Nintendo Switch to play it on) would make the perfect prize to brighten up the mood of those less fortunate.
Like last year, we'd like to invite all our UK readers to have a think about their friends, family and even strangers when entering this competition, do you know someone that you could gift this prize too? Whose year can you brighten up with a brand new Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Odyssey? We have two bundles to give away in time for Christmas.
Finally, we'd like to extend our thanks to the reader in question; we're completely overwhelmed by your continued generosity and we wish you and your family the very best Christmas possible. Merry Christmas NLifers!
About The Prize
We have two UK PAL version Nintendo Switch Super Mario Odyssey Console Bundles. Each contains a Nintendo Switch console with Mario Red Joy-Con controllers and a download code copy of Super Mario Odyssey. The box also contains the standard accessories and cables that come with any Nintendo Switch.
How To Win
It's simple, login or register and submit your entry, we'll then select the winner(s) and contact them via email.
Enter The Competition
And The Winner Is...
Thank you to everyone who entered! We had lots of lovely messages but of course had to decide on just two winners. These were users Powerballad & biblops, who each nominated an extremely worthy winner. From your messages it sounded like there were many, many more worthy winners, so thank you for entering and we hope at least some of you will take on the spirit of this competition and buy your friend or loved one something special this Christmas.
Rules
Closing date for entry is midnight GMT Sat 16th December 2017, winners will be contacted via email for their postal address, prizes will then be posted via registered mail. You must be a UK resident to receive the winning prize. Please read our full competition terms and conditions before entering.

What a heart warming competition,
Whoever the anonymous NL reader is, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and reap some of the good karma your putting out there.
Heh some awesome people out there, regardless of if win or not. Thanks to the person that supplied these and made it possible, Merry Christmas all
I feel the love and good luck everyone
I entered for Hallam FM's Mission Christmas. It's a charity providing gifts for parents in financial straits, who can't afford to buy presents for their kids. Hallam FM provides gifts for kids who would otherwise get nothing. If anyone out there can afford it, please donate a gift (doesn't have to be anything like as expensive as a Switch - a £5 gift from the Works would be so gratefully received). If you're not in the Sheffield area, your local FM radio station will almost certainly be running something similar in your area. Thanks.
ETA - If you want more details, places you can drop off your gift or links to other radio stations running a similar gift drive, Google Hallam FM Mission Christmas. And thanks again.
Very kind
This is truly incredible, again I'd love to win for my nephews but regardless, I know for sure it'll go to the right person, a deserving person. A really incredible thing this reader has done, well done and God bless you, happy Christmas everyone.
The anonymous donor is so nice Thanks you for making someone’s Christmas <3
Respect to the donor, especially for remaining anonymous in this attention-seeking, social-media-obsessed world that we live in.
As for the recipient; if only Sliggy lived in the U.K.
Truly heart warming. I hope this wonderful kind selfless person realises how much happiness they are bringing to people. So much love to him/her. Merry Switchmas 💖
@Julien our Slig pulled the trigger on Cyber Monday, he has a Switch, Odyssey and Kingdom Battle, that's why we haven't heard from him!
@MartyFlanMJFan Awesome! Christmas complete! Wonder if he’ll SWITCH his icon?
Everyone put "me", right?
Thank you anon reader! Would like to wish you a great Christmas!
This is amazingly kind. Good on you, anonymous!
This is sure to put a smile on peoples faces. Many thanks to the anon reader, and have a wonderful Yule!
"Once again an anonymous Nintendo Life reader wanted to help us"
Never heard of an anonymous person send free swag like this to other major Nintendo sites, esp 3-4 times on this same site Not like NLife would generate fake news story of an anonymous person giving a free console and game, which was bought by themselves to generate traffic to their site. NO that would be silly.
@KingdomHeartsFan I actually didn't have any intention of insulting you. If it makes you feel any better, I am sorry you took offence, I must have misunderstood your meaning. Shall we put it past us? I'd much prefer to make another friend on here, than the alternative.
@KingdomHeartsFan I've done likewise. Nice to meet you, by the way.
@Stubi Too true. Too many times "A generous NLife reader" has given away stuff. Also a lot of effort in that banner posted.
Question: does NLife post the reasons they choose a particular winner? I can think of a number of people who I think would deserve a happy surprise after what they’ve gone through this year, but I’m not certain they would appreciate their business being shared, even anonymously, online.
Thank you NLife and anonymous donor, you are both amazing and I hope you have great Christmases.
What an absolutely wonderful anonymous person.
I hope your Christmas is as lovely as you are!
@Stubi @YamAsereht I can confirm 100% that it's legit.
@Kid_Sickarus depends on the winner, but we're more than happy not to publish the details if the winner didn't want to - no obligation from us to receive the prize or anything.
Such an amazing gesture. Well done mystery person.
Thank you to Nlife and the very generous anonymous community member, you will make my cousins Christmas
