Re: A New Trailer For Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Is Airing Later Today

@LUIGITORNADO @AtlanteanMan Oh I mostly agree with you, but ports were always going to be a give seeing as how Wii U sold so little. You could have telegraphed that move a mile away, and as much as people complain (rightly so, it's their right) it's a smart move from a business perspective. Arguing against that move just because you have played them before doesn't take away from the fact that millions haven't, and they will sell in droves.

Would I personally like more new content? Absolutely, but I also believe that - coupled with Nintendo's own reluctance to rush things out the door - that Covid played a huge part in making sure the kibosh was put on the majority of dev/pub plans (not just Ninth).

It's not an excuse, it's a reason. I'm certain we will see A LOT from Nintendo this year.

I love that some fools - despite being told otherwise countless times - still fail to realise that there's over 60 million Switch owners that haven't played this game.

If you are a die-hard Nintendo fan that still lives in denial that Wii U sold like crap, then I pity you. Demand new content all you like, but don't rag on Nintendo for making a sound business decision and porting this underappreciated gem.

Re: Mario Kart Tour Gets A New Year Update With RMX Rainbow Road 2

Iggy-Koopa

@AndyC_MK84 The game is six years old, and I double dipped on Switch. I'll want what I want, thanks all the same.

Although I thank you for taking a more constructive tone, I just don't feel like they are in a hurry seeing as how DX is still making pure coin at this point. A couple of new cups wouldn't go amiss.

Re: Nintendo Paid "Around $6 Million" For Monster Hunter Rise's Timed Exclusivity On Switch

Iggy-Koopa

Just looking through the comments here reminds me of just how sad, sad, saaaaad a bunch of gamers can be.

Nintendo paid to keep the game on the Switch - shock horror, they have done this multiple times, as have Sony, as have MS, be it permanently (fully funded) or timed (part funded).

They were probably made aware that a PC version was on the cards, but wanted a period where all the focus was on Switch.

It's business, money changes hands all of the time, get over it.

sigh

Re: Feature: Why Open A Video Game Shop During A Global Pandemic?

Iggy-Koopa

@Kimyonaakuma I politely disagree, my local independent was absolutely amazing, and I was gutted when it closed. It was the only place where I could get import games, consoles, associated merch and a reasonable discount if I haggled hard enough. I still remember skipping home after picking up my inport copy of Final Fight One on GBA, good times.

Re: Custom-Made Etika Joy-Con Which Raised $10k For Charity Fell Foul Of Copyright Claim, Creator Reveals

Iggy-Koopa

Erhmagheeeerd, Neentendoo ish a munshterrr.

Defend your copyrights or risk losing them people, it's that simple. Nintendo haven't cancelled this bloke, nor did they step in and demand they stop raising money with their products in the name of mental health awareness, they simply asked for 'joycon' to be removed, as well as any other unlicensed bits.

Breaking news: any other business would probably do the same.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil Revelations 3 Will Be A Switch "Focused" Release, Says Capcom Insider

Iggy-Koopa

I'll wait for the PC version.

Hahahahahaaa, I can't keep that up. Imagine coming to a Nintendo fan site and being that person.

Day one for Switch-centric Resident Evil. Now that Capcom are all about that REngine, it should be every bit as glorious as Rise (moreso if the environments return claustrophobic, closed in settings of old school survival horror).

Imagine..... A wholly different (and somewhat more enjoyable) reason to be absolutely terrified of catching a deadly infection while you are on the bus to work.

Re: Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries Of New York Sinks Its Teeth Into Switch This Month

Iggy-Koopa

@JugOfVoodoo Yup! Absolutely nothing like the actual game (I played Vampire: The Masquerade since around ‘96), save for the names of the clans and a few characteristics. Cheesy as hell, but in the best way. Daedalus was my favourite, skulking in Prince Luna’s basement and drinking wine while he slashes pieces of priceless artwork lol. A top representative of Clan Nosferatu. Good times.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From Nintendo At E3 2018?

Iggy-Koopa

I’ll make a prediction:

No Star Fox, no Bayonetta 3, no F-Zero, no Punch Out and no Metroid. 2018 titles only, with a blisteringly huge focus on Smash Bros and Let’s Go. The leaked third party sheet is all you will see from said companies, and Yoshi will be the only other Switch first party title in the Direct.

Go in with these expectations, and you will have a good time.

Re: Video: Can This Star Fox: Grand Prix Rumour Become a Reality?

Iggy-Koopa

I’m intrigued, but aprehensive. On one hand it may be a great game - a combination of high-speed races in a wide variety of environments, throw in some laser cannons, perhaps an online mode - but then again, just how much weight does the Star Fox brand carry nowadays? Not much, if recent efforts are to go by.

That said, I’m still liking what I’m hearing. If Retro can pull off a futuristic racer within the Star Fox universe then more power to them. I’m not holding my breath though.
