In other news, Day9 may host the PC variety show, Todd Howard might be present at Bethesda, and Aisha Tyler could make a phallic joke in the vicinity of a Frenchman.
@JaxonH Nintendo puts out a lot of shovelware. In particular, there are a lot of mediocre Metroid games that Nintendo very much put in the wrong hands. Singapore even contributed to that pile with Mario Sports Superstars.
At least we would have known Retro was a talented studio with the code and resources from the Prime trilogy.
Ooof, what a coincidence. This is certainly better than them releasing anyway and then getting all defensive when they get accused of disaster profiteering.
What I don't like about Nier: Automata is that it feels like you can't avoid getting hit if you don't use your crazy phase-through-everything evade multiple times. I've never played a Bayonetta game, but I hope it's not the same 'witch time to win' sorta setup.
What lies. He's talking like the devs have to be skilled enough to create for Switch, but the vast majority of these indie games weren't developed for the platform. They were developed and released on the crossplatform systems, then later ported onto Switch. That quote is a bunch of vague aphorisms and nothing that actually means anything substantive.
Wow Monster Hunter has a blunt naming convention. Still rather be playing that than this ugly indie game tho. It looks like it's been put through the VR wringer, but all they're doing is rendering character models.
This is such a weird article. Of course it was never planned for Wii U, because early 2014 was plenty late enough to spot that system's ceiling. If it had sold 10 million by 3D World's launch then Odyssey would have been planned for Wii U. Because that's how sales work...
Gyro controls are so wobbly and gross, I don’t want that in an FPS. Why not just pointer aiming like Metroid Prime 3, that was so accurate. Just let the Gamepad die already.
@Zoda_Fett Yeah, I don't really care whether someone obviously obsessed with console wars play a cool game on another platform or not or not. However, you should know that playing a half hour of a really long JRPG and calling it meh is the par for uninformed internet opinions.
@Rika_Yoshitake That sounds dope if it includes a new region, although it would be more like World Ultimate than a sequel. Capcom are definitely on top of the ball when it comes to updates, but the portable MH team's last game was launched around the Switch and ported to it late last year. So, probably expect something new from them also featuring the monsters from the New World.
"...Capcom isn’t one to blow money on spin-offs when it can make a quick buck by re-releasing classic entries, a la Resident Evil on PS4/XO..."
What is the writer talking about? Just in recent years, RE: Revelations 1 and 2, Umbrella Corps, MH: Stories, MH: Cross and its expansion. Capcom make lots of AAAs, many spinoffs, and tons of ports and remasters.
I fail to see how writing the title like RED DEAD REDEMPTION GOOD LORD makes that game even relevant to this thread. Anyway, this statement is probably meaningless and just reemphasizing games like Mega Man 11 and Wolfenstein 2, maybe a couple more unannounced 7th gen ports. Red Dead 2 is not coming to the system, calm down.
The grind would be most convenient on Switch but all of my best memories are from Tri and, now, the World beta — on consoles. 4th gen was fun for about 700 hour's between 4 and Cross, but it was never what I wanted from the series and felt like none of the monsters or areas actually mattered to each other. That and the binary shadows in Double Cross look weird on big screen.
So, hopefully Switch gets its own 5th gen Monster Hunter with either graphically reduced (like less geometry) or different maps and exclusive monsters that also release in whatever version is current on the other systems. If they make it cel shaded like Stories though, I might never play Monster Hunter on a Nintendo system again. So... hopefully they don't subvert the series' art style.
@Octane Konami also doesn't make enough video games to fill a show. I really don't see the support for the point you're making, a company simply not doing what they said they were going to do it a pretty extreme case. Moreover, there are more Mega Man games than almost every other gaming IP. It's literally one of the most populous gaming franchises. Another game is an inevitability, not a rarity.

Re: Review: Shape Of The World (Switch eShop)
The art on this one looked kinda derivative. Random color sky, glowing stuff, floating things – standard indie art game imagery.
Re: Review: BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle (Switch)
I can't see what's going on in a single one of these screenshots.

Re: Rumour: Hastily Updated Amazon Listing Suggests Fallout 76 Will Arrive On 31st July
Schreier, the main source of the multiplayer rumors, already said it's not an MMO. So like research if you're going to write an article or something.
Re: You Can Pre-Order Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee! for Switch Already
That sure looks like an empty field.
Re: Rumour: Leaked E3 Document Suggests Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ And More Are Switch-Bound
I wonder if 'Metroid Prime: Renegade' can impress because most of these Nintendo leaks are pretty disappointing.

Lmao.
Re: Fallout 76 Straps On Its Pip-Boy With A Mysterious Teaser Trailer
Guys, it's not happening.
Re: Pokémon Switch Studio Reveals Game Design Details In Job Posting
@Banjos_Backpack Animals aren't orange, dude. Pokemon have looked plastic since they've been in color.
Re: Pokémon Switch Studio Reveals Game Design Details In Job Posting
@Banjos_Backpack Everything already looks like plastic, I think Pokemon games already looks like their anime.
Re: Marvelous Is Working On "Unannounced" Nintendo Switch Titles
@roy130390 That's a good point, I could see Stories getting a sequel. Hopefully it's that and not embarrassing trash waifu trash.
Re: Rumour: Fresh Details Of Star Fox: Grand Prix Suggest It's Not Like F-Zero At All, Thanks Very Much
It's like Nintendo forgot that they used to make the best adventure games.
Re: Nintendo Switch Only Accounted For 7% Of Ubisoft's Yearly Revenue
All of their breadwinners have guns, assassins, or assassins with guns. This is unsurprising.

These aren't new sequels, guys.
Re: Rumour: Retro Studios Has Another Project In Development Alongside Star Fox
@OorWullie We have no guarantees that Bandi Namco's C-tier studio is going to do Metroid Prime justice.
Re: Rumour: Retro Studios Is Working On A Secret Star Fox: Grand Prix Title For Switch
It would be just a little ironic if they've taken this long to make a racing game.
Re: New Splatoon Secret Project Is Set To "Shock The World" Just Days Before E3
Could Nintendo even make a 100-P battle royale mode work? Splatoon maps are pretty small.

Y'know, other countries have federal governments too. Headline writing: It's a thing.
Re: We Nearly Had A Terrifying Second Pikachu Evolution With Horns And Fangs
"Pokemon was almost good."
Honestly, this explains why Raichu just looks like an orange Pikachu with barely any change – It's a middle evolution. Those are always boring.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Lmao, fanboy trash.

Who would buy physical with what they did to that box art, though?

@Zoda_Fett Playing two quests of Monster Hunter isn't playing Monster Hunter. Also, you're trying very hard to seem cool on the internet.

@Paraka Uhhh, I think near any game can make a profit from 5 million retailer sales. It's development cycle was 4 years, not 4 decades.
