The interface is like a strictly better version of PS4's — screenshots and the store navigation especially — they just need to add more stuff to it and build it out.
Factory farming is the substantive issue here. Animals being born, living, and dying in their own waste in pens where they can't move or lie down for the sake of cramming in more creatures beside them.
It's just kind of a bright-colored mess at melee range and the animations and effects are all so fast that I can't tell what I'm doing, how the other kid killed me, or what I could have done better.
@Grumblevolcano Except hopefully without announcing a Zelda game three years and a long chain of delays in advance.
And as a twofold 3DS owner, I'm not happy about that being called out for E3. Hopefully it's just for show floor demos and not much space in their presentation, as development for 3DS directly damages their pitch for the Switch being a hybrid console and host to all of Nintendo's current games.
@AlternateButtons Lol, I'm referencing a US supreme court case about a Nazi parade. And there's no denying that Nazi beliefs are conservative, slanting against the same non-white, non-gender conforming people, just to a more extreme degree. Just what exactly do you think comments about white pride or purity or supremacy can mean? It's the same worldview.
@CharlieSmile Exactly. Conservatives like to pretend that only their free speech is protected. However, if the law is fair, they should be allowed to hold their Nazi parades, and everyone opposed in town should be able to shout at them from the sidewalk. It always goes both ways, unless the enforcement is punching downwards (against minorities, non-cis male genders, etc).
And on boycotts or individual choice not to purchase the game, that's not free speech, that's just free-dom. People who are angry at those (honestly pretty subtle) forces and the eagerness of certain corporations to appeal to everyone regardless of identity are really just angry at mass market economics and an economy that gives everyone free will. Not that I'm much of a libertarian myself.
Well it's not like third parties haven't been enforcing a console duopoly since the end of the Wii's lifecycle. Too many media outlets mistakenly put the onus on Nintendo to obtain third party support when this is all happening in a free market system, for better and worse. Simply, if no extra developers choose to make games for the Switch, then none will.
I'm fine with just Nintendo and Capcom games for now.
You can download it on the US Switch shop as far as I understand. I clicked on the eShop link from the lock screen and Splatoon 2 was in the recent games on the first page. It errored out once, but I repeated the process and downloaded it just fine.
I mean, it was great in Twilight Princess — just do that again. It translates fine to HD, not to mention how useful having a built-in windsock in Breath of the Wild would have been.
Are they talking about the uninstall reroll trick? You'd think they'd just make an app that prevents that exploit rather than complain at gamers for breaking their system ever so slightly.
@Nik-Davies The backwards wrist strap is certainly scary, but fixable without any damage to the controllers. I think that at least is just part of learning a new system.
@Xaessya That would be very convenient. This method of accessing the Japanese store looks exactly like the PS4's — kinda complicated. At least the menus are in English though...
A little bit PR-y responses, but I'd be happy to try out the HD rumble with this interesting smaller game. It seems like they've checked all the boxes, even if Neo looked a little clinical in terms of the environment design.
How the heck did Overwatch win 'action game?' They should really have a shooter category, because Monster Hunter Cross is the clear 2016 action game winner.
I love pretty pixel art games and this one could be interesting. I just hope the levels look more naturalistic in the release version and that Towerfall itself comes to Switch. That sounds like a perfect kind of local co-op game for the system.
I would be really excited for this if it had a game like Metroid Prime behind it. I don't mind a bit of pixilation if the actual game is excellent.
The Switch heating up in such close proximity to your face might be a problem, though. It could fog up glasses and even injure people if it's not done just right.
I don't get the judgement, that looks like an entirely fine mini-game.
It must be a pain for the two who have to dress in the KISS face paint and butler get up / persona. They do get to play all of the Monster Hunter games early, though...
@ottospooky Lol, when has a Nintendo system not lasted through a nuclear winter? Cartridges' inherent flaws aside? I started with the Gamecube — a Gamecube I still have that works flawlessly. The only Nintendo systems that have ever broken on my are my DS and DS Lite hinges, when I dropped them.
That's a terribly dishonest headline. Your attributing a quote paraphrased by someone else to 'Nintendo' vaguely as opposed to any human being who actually said it.
That's the problem with indie games on Switch — they are forced to be digital for financial reasons. The download speeds better be decent and there better be larger storage chips than 100-some gigs.

Re: Poll: What Wii U Ports Would You Like to Play on Nintendo Switch?
Poor Paper Mario, now that you're garbage no one wants you.
Re: Round Up: Yooka-Laylee's Scores Are In, And Critics Appear Divided
Those are some really vague pull quotes.
Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Suggests Production Cost Is Around $260 Per Unit
Gosh Nintendo, way to be greedy /s
It feels good to know that your money is going into an actual product, not a company's profit margins.

Re: Exclusive: 'Operation Mario' Used to Plug Nintendo's Press Leaks Ahead of E3
I like the irony. Plus, naming a leak-plugging program after a popular franchise would be pretty counter-intuitive.
Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2 Gets a New Name and a Release Date
Nothing says creativity like puns on popular website names.
Re: Nintendo Switch OS Version 2.1.0 is Now Live
@TobieOBrown That is an incredible joke. Feel good about your work.

Re: Random: What Happens When A Guardian And Stone Talus Upset Each Other In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?
@Raylax Mother Earth?
Anyway, I can't tell if the Talus was dealing damage or not. The guardian couldn't reach its weak point.
Re: New Electronics Ban on Certain UK and US Flights Includes the Nintendo Switch
The US just does not miss a chance to discriminate and waste other people's time.
Re: Weirdness: Bizarre Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Glitch Lets Link Walk Underwater
Swell, now include that in the DLC — I'm still waitibg for my water temple!

Re: Video: See Sonic Forces At Its Best in Official Gameplay Footage
That doesn't look like a 2017 game, and those animations don't look like any kind of modern game.

Make that money, huh Nintendo Life?

Re: Feature: What Happens When you Play Breath of the Wild as a Multiplayer Game?
This was exactly how people played Skyrim, sharing stories and such.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Runs At 60fps In 1080p When Docked
No other AAA devs make splitscreen games anymore, let alone ones of a comparable quality.

Re: Nintendo of America's Store Opens Orders on Individual Nintendo Switch Docks

Re: Don't Worry, The Nintendo Switch Kickstand Is Designed To Snap Off
Everyone can stop being alarmists now. Most of the alarms were foolish from the start anyway.
Re: The Nintendo Switch's Sleep Mode Is Extremely Power Efficient
That's pretty good. Especially after the Xbox One's sleep mode failed (already lax) energy efficiency standards, game systems need to run efficiently.
Re: Virtual Console Will Not Be Ready For Nintendo Switch Launch
That shared wallet is promising and more than I was expecting. It bodes well for virtual console transferability.

Re: Bethesda's Todd Howard "Can't Say" If Skyrim on Switch is the Special Edition

Make that money.

I'd be glad to buy World of Goo or Little Inferno again for my fancy new tablet — and maybe even Human Resource Machine — after I play Zelda ;P
Re: By The Way, The Joy-Con Grip Bundled With Nintendo Switch Won't Charge Your Joy-Cons
@Tendogamerxxx No, they have amiibo for that
Re: Airplane Mode Symbol Spotted In Nintendo Switch UI, Sets Tongues Wagging

Re: Nintendo Files Trademark Application For Eternal Darkness
I would be simultaneously very disappointed and very intrigued if Retro was working on a horror game (that wasn't Metroid Prime).
Re: Eiji Aonuma and Satoru Takizawa on the Fate of Wind Waker 2
Don't get too self-righteous, Wind Waker fans — Breath of the Wild is already The Wind Waker 2. And I'm not talking about the timeline.
Re: Poll: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Share Your Thoughts on the Latest Footage
@XCWarrior I mean, they literally did make his tunic blue to provide a contrasting color.
And I never thought I would hear someone criticize Zelda for being too green... Triforce of COURAGE, man! Forest Temple.
Re: Ubisoft 30th Anniversary Video Has Mario, Luigi And Toad In Rabbids Form
