if you want to play zelda in maximum comfort this is the pad.

this is £255, would be a better price in the UK, system and zelda for around £300.

so it looks like hopes of it being based off pascal/x2 are dead in the water. and it's potentially not even 16/14nm either. if the switch ends up being a downgraded tegra x1 that's worse than many people's lowest, worst case scenario expectations. not good.

@RoomB31 just saying it's the least they can do to maintain good favour with the majority of nintendo fans. but you're right, not everybody will buy the switch near launch and refunds should be offered.

the irony here is a large amount of support came from the people who are potentially getting shafted here. really bad look for the company.

@RoomB31 definitely. and if not they should make sure the switch version is ready to go with the other versions. otherwise it's a huge kick in the teeth to nintendo backers.

surprised they cancelled it. sad thing is that a large amount of the early backers were nintendo gamers (hence a wii u version in the first place) and now they'll be the last to play it. and only if they buy the new system! lol

i'm sure most people have a decent pc at the least, but it's kind of the principle here.

get us that zelda demo for day 1 and i think you'll see more enthusiasm than without.

if zelda is delayed then very likely so is my switch purchase. i can wait a few months and the price will probably come down too.

what's not to like here? nvidia are the leaders for gpu tech, producing the most efficient hardware for years now. great move for all concerned!

@NandN3ds i imagine there's a lot of cross-over with the type of people who post here and far-left sites like neoGAF.

March reeks of a placeholder date to appease shareholders that something is coming this FY. as much as I'd love it to launch then, Patcher is likely correct. and once they miss this FY it could easily slip to later than summer, likely q3 or 4.

if we see something in the next few months it could still be on, but i doubt it.

online gaming became a thing, nintendo never added online. people quitting an issue? just play with friends.

cards would be SO much better. disc loading sucks. also the optical drive makes the console that much bigger, over half of the wii u is just the disc drive. portable NX system can also share the same media, flash storage is surely the future!

a reminder of how much of a failure the wii U has been for nintendo, not for the fans but for their bottom line. these rumours amount to a wii U 2.0, so i'd be increasingly worried for the future of the company if they're true.

sounds like forcing the gamepad use was a TERRIBLE idea. not only has it severely gimped the graphics but it wasn't even a good idea in the first place.

should have just made it one screen and allowed it to have better graphics. huge mistake to do the 120fps rendering and force gamepad use :/

wasn't that great the first time round, better off playing it on dolphin than shelling out on this. i won't be playing it again either way.

worst case scenario concerning amiibo, don't own any and probably never will.

only IF it has parity in online/communication features, solid third party support, well priced for the spec. that's a big IF if you ask me.

i find the comment that it's 'too cheap' and 'undermining' the quality of the games absolutely hillarious. some of the mental gymnastics that nintendo fans will jump through to justify the lame virtual console pricing. it doesn't matter if it's fan service or not, MS has put together an incredible package for the money and should be applauded. the fact about there being more N64 games available on the XB1 than Wii U is also very funny! Nintendo have dropped the ball in all sorts of ways...

game of thrones sets a very high bar for a high fantasy production such as this to live up to. have they really got the budget and talent to do a show that would do the franchise justice? call me pessimistic for now...

@King_Boo same, i guess we're in the minority or getting too old for this stuff or something. it's just a bunch of figures with a tiny memory chip that's used to unlock features. i might pick up a ness or toad one but it's a waste of money unless you collect toys.

prefer the black console and expect them to be much closer to £100 within a year. hopefully somebody comes out with some grips for the smaller model too.

supply and demand, if someone wants to sell it that's up to them. presumably the reason they got offered one in the first place was due to spending a lot of money with the company.

nice that US is getting something, but i'll always prefer a steelbook, especially that nice looking black one in the EU bundle.
