if people don't believe there is new hardware after what is quite an obvious hardware leak i don't know what to say. T239 has it's own fork, graphics API, it's clearly something far in development and ties in with all previous 'rumours' regarding a Switch Pro. even the chip's codename T239 was spilled over a year ago. so this is the new Switch system, the only question is when it releases.

this is not a rumour anymore, the next Switch has DLSS, ray tracing & more and it's chipset is T239/Drake. when it releases is the only question.

when the leakers spill all the beans we could be looking at the full specs. there is already some interesting data on T239 so far - seems it will be significantly more powerful than previously thought.

this will keep us going big time but it also raises more questions about Switch 4K model & a new Mario Kart. looks like any new new entry is going to break away significantly so 'Nintendo Kart' looks even more likely now. maybe even an exclusive considering the OG Switch will have so much MK content available after this.

i believe much of the timeline around BOTW2 & MK9 relates to a new Switch model. i don't think we'll see MK9 yet but hell yes i'd love to see it. smart thing for Nintendo would simply be to drop a tease that it's coming, imagine the hype.

the frame rate is absolutely shocking is this the finished game? LOL

they should finish the Remastered version too tho...

Nintendo continues to infuriate fans and look like greedy-cash grabbers with the constant Tour updates and zilch for MK8.

the launch is deffo linked to new hardware. probably waiting on the software to be ready as opposed to the latter.

Xbox already has the superior HD-rendered version.

this was graphically mind-blowing on a CRT back in the day. gorgeous pre-rendered 2d visuals.

@Jamie_R +1 for Ridge Racer. pains me Namco haven't released a proper follow-up since 7 on the PS3. and that supposedly 8 for Switch was cancelled :/

looks great but graphically showing Switch's shortcomings for a 2022 title. Nintendo needs some better hardware stat.

it's release will probably be tied to new hardware. same with zelda, they need a good line-up of enhanced titles to push sales for the Switch 4k.

everytime i see new Tour content i ask why Nintendo continue to refuse to update MK8.

@Wavey84 great stuff. honestly i can do without the searing brightness. i like the filmic look of Plasma and it pops plenty enough for me. all my LCD screens i'm always pushing the brightness down cranking gamma darker whatever way possible. never owned a big OLED but don't think it's as nice as a Plasma image from using a few phones with it.

@liveswired well at least someone knows a good screen when they see one. top end Plasma still makes current screen tech (over a decade later) look inferior. even OLED crumbles when looking at the motion handling aspect.

the most important question of all - IS IT PENTILE? if so it's pretty poor for a OLED of this pixel density.

this isn't the rumoured Switch Pro, it's just a normal switch with OLED screen. and more expensive! there's another device in the works (Nvidia Orin based) but whether that's the Pro or Switch 2 and when that comes remains to be seen.

not having robust online options with leadeboards tournaments etc is inexcusable. i'm still getting it but when will nintendo learn to prioritize online features? (never)

unless the game is held up because Platinum took too much on. there's always the possibility Nintendo is asking them to hold back due to pushing an enhanced version for Switch Pro.

it's probably been pushed to launch with Switch Pro to drive hardware sales. probably will be shown when the Pro date gets finalized.

i'm just here to speak on behalf of everyone who wants MK9 and soon!

just to clear up misinformation the DLSS supporting chipset will be all new (and much more recent/powerful). there's no other way around this it won't/cannot be built into the dock.

@Tandy255 would be awesome. as long as it brings something genuinely NEW i'll be happy.

Nintendo's approach to online is abysmal (that smartphone app LOL) they deserve the dislikes.

may look sharper around the edges but there's no extra detail in the art or textures etc. waiting for a true MK sequel which should look glorious!

OS level communication would be good too.

perhaps Q3/4 then. it's coming.

wii U was flawed on many levels. a unified platform is ideal for nintendo, now they need to up the ante and take the switch concept to the next gen.

there's great money to be made if they just released this on Xbox/Switch platforms digitally for like £15. a ton of people would buy. EON or whoever clearly don't like money.

@DonkeyKongBigBoy MK9 was heavily rumoured for last year. would make sense to have it be a Switch Pro exclusive as to not eat into sales of MK8.

watching the video it's 100% obvious they will ruin the IP even further.

the joys of zero hour contract delivery workers & lax receipt standards due to covid. all sorts of packages are just being left outside houses or delivered to the wrong person. or stolen!

personally i'd like to see more 2D style zeldas. like the Links Awakening remake but a brand new title.

i hope MK9 is a launch title for switch gen2 and brings something totally new to the table. 0 recycled tracks, all NEW.

The Banjo one looks nice! The original games are classics. Or while they're at it, sort something out to bring Banjo 1 & 2 ports to Switch.

can i be the negative nancy here. nobody wanted this, doesn't look that fun either. but an actual new mario kart would sell like hot-cakes. i'll show myself the door.

it's coming for sure, switch is selling well so a final revision makes sense so nintendo can milk gen1 as long as possible before moving onto a next-gen unit, which probably won't drop till late 2022.

sure it will be good but got damn that framerate is rough. early build but maybe better not to show it vs a jerky mess.

galaxy ones are cool.
