I played through these on my DS and still have them. I have never gone back to them once finished, so no I wouldn't buy them again even if I didn't have them. However I strongly dislike seeing good games get forgotten, especially really good ones like the first three Layton games, so bring it on! (Still won't buy them again though.)

So happy to see BotW at number 1 on this list. It is such a beautiful game. TotK is ok but nowhere near as good.

No. I already have it on Wii, Wii U, and the Virtual Console. I don't care about the updates. If it was $39.99 I would probably bite.

One shouldn't have to reboot after a download, but this game runs better if you do a full system reset after downloading. It's a good silly game. 7/10

Grand Theft Auto IV with the Mario Mod.

This game is HEAVILY dependent on multiplayer. It is super fun and I had a lot of fun playing with friends on Steam. But once a couple people stopped it stopped for everyone. It's a huge flaw in the game. But, if you can get a bunch of people to play it with you then it's worth getting.

Breath of the Wild is the better game all around. I was enthralled with Tears of the Kingdom until about 30 hours in when I all of a sudden just completely lost interest. They did too much, and the game is too busy. I went back to Breath of the Wild and beat that again, amazingly beautiful game.

It was an amazing year for games and I am honestly amazed Nintendo got nominated for anything besides Tears of the Kingdom. Wonder was ok, but not award worthy. Also, Dave the Diver isn't an indie game...

All that said, what a sad year to get nominated, as Baldur's Gate 3 is the best game ever made and will sweep all categories they are nominated in.

Maybe it's just me, but I really hope they don't Americanize the film. If it's live action, please don't let it be a bunch of white/american actors. Make it with japanese actors, and in japanese.

The best time to make this movie was 35 years ago and getting Ridley Scott to direct it. There is 0% chance this movie ends up being good.

I've been going through all the games this dude reviews low and buying them out of spite. This one is really fun, and again I am baffled by how this dude scores games. It's like he has a disinterest in fun stuff or stuff that doesn't hold your hand the whole way through a game. 8/10 fun game would buy again and again.

When Mitch gives a game a solid review I am sold.

I really just want Metal Gear Solid. I'm waiting for a deep sale on this one, all the other issues are non issues for me I just need that sweet sweet first installment of the PS era.

EDIT: Just saw I can buy just MGS...still waiting for a sale as $19.99 is still too steep for me.

NintendoLife reviews have gone way downhill. They seem to review on hype more than anything else. Mitch Vogel is the only reviewer I feel I can trust. His reviews are well written and meaningful. The person who reviewed Wargroove2 has some highly questionable scores in their roster yet NintendoLife keeps enlisting them. But yeah this site could be just Kate Gray and Mitch Vogel jams and it would be all the better for it. Oh and Alex, he must be protected and cherished. Love me some Alex.

This reminds me of the NES Ducktales game that was remastered. I hate the way it looks. I much prefer the pixelated look of the originals. When they are cleaned up like this it's very disengaging.

This game is great. I think it shows in the reviews for these remakes that the reviewer is not a fan of the genre or franchise. IF this seems appealing to you and you like strategy roll playing games you should give it a shot. A 5/10 is bonkers. More like a 7/10 for sure.

This looks like Deadly Premonition levels of good bad. Ugh, I feel so dirty knowing I'm going to buy this and love it.

I've been playing this and a 4 is way off. This game is fine, plays great, and if you like the subject matter you will like it. It's fun. 7/10 for sure.

I love the Shiren games, but I don't like the way this one looks. It's the least appealing, visually. I hope the game play is on par with previous releases...because those graphics are puke worthy.

I argue that it does need backwards compatibility. It's a huge sticking point in the console wars. I hate to say it, but phones have set a precedent that you can carry games over to new devices. If Nintendo doesn't make their next console BC, I am not buying. I invested heavily into Switch, and I am not doing that again.

@EaglyBird I've been coming to this site for about 13-14 years, it was mostly reviews at first (miss you Corbs) and has slowly evolved into mini news articles about mundane crap. Way more articles about "hey look at this game that will release in a year!" and way less reviews about how those games they are plugging actually are.

This site should do more reviews and less news. Kind of tired of the constant news. Give me them reviews.

TotK is flatly not as good as BotW, so that alone makes me feel like it won't win. Currently I think Baldur's Gate will win unless something even more amazing comes along. For those that haven't played it, I could see not understanding how it could win over TotK but believe when I tell you TotK has nothing on BG3.

I think this game is a solid 9 for the first 10 hours you play it. But once you figure it out it drops quickly. At about the time you figure out the combos and how items work and what they do, it becomes increasingly less fun. After having played it for about 20-30 hours on PC I would give it a 6/10, based on just how not fun it becomes.

This game really fell off for me. After about 55 hours I just didn't care anymore. I still haven't gone back to it. Which is weird. Breath of the Wild I've completed four times, yet this game underwhelms me.

I think it's neat they can bring this to the Switch now. But after already playing it on PC...why? Even if the studio porting it did an even better job than whoever brought The Witcher over to Switch it will still look like crap. So you will spend upwards of $65 in the USA for the crappiest version of the game available. Yuck.

I know making money off of morons is wrong, especially when you do it in such an underhanded way, but I feel no sympathy for people who sit around and chase whatever the f*** bounties are while watching another person open packs of cards. D tier humans all around.

Man, you F-Zero people need to let that dream just die. They weren't even that good of games! I would counter that almost every single other Nintendo racer is BETTER than F-Zero ever dreamed of being. Did it look cool? Hell yeah it did. Was it a good game? Mmmmmmm not really.

This game will suck so hard, but the show is great.

....nah, they could have done better.
