A good side quest helps me explore the area I am in, but doesn't drag me from the main quest I am following. I hate it when a side quest wants me to go to the other side of the map for something. No, that's the main quests function. As much as I love both of the new Zelda games they are terrible about this.
@Anti-Matter I've been playing video games since 1985 and I have never seen a kickboxing game nor do I remember some golden era of kickboxing games. What an odd comment dude, you ok?
I'm not trying to be mean, but it looks terrible. I can only imagine that in movement it looks even worse. Looks aside it's weird enough that it might just work.
I stopped at 40 hours in. I have completed the wind temple, getting the master sword (luckily, I was able to get it early after completing the tears as I had two full stamina wheels), and just some general running around. I don't like the game. It's clunky and too open for me. Breath of the Wild was perfect, 10/10. Tears of the Kingdom is a 6/10 for me.
If they remake 6 it will be like the 7 remakes but worse. I could see them milking that for like 6 releases, the combat will suck, you'll need whatever the most up to date gen system to play it, they will rework characters to not be offensive and in so doing will ruin them or at least completely alter the story, and it will suck...just like the 7 remakes.
Hard pass for me. Unless you're playing multiplayer the game is not a game but a puzzle. I doubt they will have fixed this in 2.
In the first game you really can't make mistakes in the single player. Make one sub-optimal move and you lose. That's a puzzle not a game. The original died really fast because of this. The online was dead. You had to join a special discord just to find games. I've noticed a lot of Wargroove content lately and now it makes sense. They were gearing up for the release of 2.
I finally succumbed to years of this game being pushed as a great game. I bought it about two months ago just so I wouldn't miss out on it once the stores close. I hate this game. It's not fun. It's not really that cute. The music isn't very good. I really don't get it.
What a lousy...thing. I think the show was the only thing that stirred anything in me and that was weak too. Whoever is in charge of Pokemon right now is doing a terrible job.
@Coxula Nah I just thought your post was funny for being like really defensive for no reason so I pointed out how you being mad was misplaced and kind of dumb. Thanks for circling back though, your response made me laugh so it's like double the payoff on this side.
@Coxula And even if you want to play offline on your computer you have to have a battle.net account. That's just how Blizzard is. It's really not that big of a deal. It's also free.
Most people just buy video games. I know so many people who buy tons of games but never really play any of them. So the incentive for publishers to give their releases the quality they deserve is very low. If only 20% of the people who buy your game will have something negative to say then so what?
@Ralizah Yeah I was hoping this article would address who was making the puzzles. Doesn't matter when or where the story takes place really, the puzzles need to be good again. I will wait for reviews on this one. You could have the best animated/told Layton story and I wouldn't care if the puzzles suck.
Finally, my genre has been recognized! Rhythm games are my favorite games. But this list is too long, all you need is Everhood, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!, and Cadence of Hyrule. Those are the best. All others kind of suck to be honest. Especially the Runner games. Although Bit Trip Core was awesome.
@Vexx234 Yeah, I know. Just like other people can say how much they love it it's equally OK for others to express not liking it. Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine when people try to shut down dissenting opinions.
If Mother 3 ever happened it wouldn't be part of these NSO games guaranteed. Outside of that one, just give me the Wario games and the Fire Emblem games and we're good.
Sometimes a game gets to be a legend. People hear about it, and having never played it, contribute to its legendary rise. I hate this game. I think it sucks. I don't get why people like it at all. I've played the trilogy, thinking I would find an answer eventually. Nope. Just a mediocre game. Remaster looks good, too bad the game sucks.
I was so excited when this dropped. Then I played it. Horrible controls. I tried the various control options and button mapping, still sucked. Then tried to play with some friends online only to have the worst lag ever.
I guess we're sticking to Kirby's Dream Course as our game of choice.
At this point he's won. He is the infamous villain of Donkey Kong. He will be remembered more than anyone else when it comes to Donkey Kong high scores. I applaud him. I fricken love this guy now. He made me do a flippyflop. Bravo man, you the shizz.
It's a lot of fun when played against someone else in the room. As a solo game it blows. I bought it and played it a couple times and disliked it. Played it with friends during a party years later and it became a house favorite.
I would like to see them remake Final Fantasy IX. I love the original, but with all the problems and work around needed to play it today I think it warrants a lovingly handled full remake. But not a full remake like for FF VII, just a PS1 HD Remake.
No mention of Elite Beat Agents is, frankly, extremely disappointing. Also, a little gem of a soundtrack is the one for Sonic Spinball. Tis a very good bit of song indeed.
I can't express enough in words how happy I am they mostly ditched the social mini games. This is looking to be the best Fire Emblem game in many years, since Awakenings for sure. So pumped!

Re: MythForce Brings Roguelike Action And '80s Cartoon Aesthetics To Switch This September
When I was a kid in the 80s, I dreamed of being able to play a cartoon. I hope this is amazing but I'm buying it no matter what to try it out.

I see, so a very niche corner of the gaming market mostly tied to one country. Ok...

@LiquidNinja What bad reviews? The only bad review was here by a guy that almost only strictly plays visual novel games. What are you talking about?
Re: Countdown: 3DS eShop Spotlight - HarmoKnight
@Wild_Silvally_Dreams I don't care how good it is later, it sucked enough up front to not make me want to keep going. Dud game.
Re: Talking Point: Which Is Your Favourite 3DS Theme?
I still rock the Whoa Dave! theme. Because when I open my 3DS it says "Whoa Dave!" to me. I love it.

Re: Poll: Which Nintendo Switch Online Console Do You Play The Most?
My cousin and I play Kirby's Dream Course online a few nights a week. That game SO good. And the lag doesn't affect the game at all.
Re: Review: Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe - A Suitably Dreamy Encore For One Of Kirby's Best
Docking a point for the reason that it's a Kirby game so it's easy...that is so lame. The scoring here is so dumb.

Everyone who said Switch should change their vote to Wii U since all those games pretty much came from the Wii U.
