Re: Talking Point: What Makes A Good Sidequest, Anyway?

Goofonzo

A good side quest helps me explore the area I am in, but doesn't drag me from the main quest I am following. I hate it when a side quest wants me to go to the other side of the map for something. No, that's the main quests function. As much as I love both of the new Zelda games they are terrible about this.

Re: Poll: Are You Still Playing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Goofonzo

I stopped at 40 hours in. I have completed the wind temple, getting the master sword (luckily, I was able to get it early after completing the tears as I had two full stamina wheels), and just some general running around. I don't like the game. It's clunky and too open for me. Breath of the Wild was perfect, 10/10. Tears of the Kingdom is a 6/10 for me.

Re: Random: Some Square Enix Staff Really Want A Final Fantasy VI Remake

Goofonzo

If they remake 6 it will be like the 7 remakes but worse. I could see them milking that for like 6 releases, the combat will suck, you'll need whatever the most up to date gen system to play it, they will rework characters to not be offensive and in so doing will ruin them or at least completely alter the story, and it will suck...just like the 7 remakes.

Re: Exclusive: Wargroove 2 Brings Strategy To The Shores On Switch Later This Year

Hard pass for me. Unless you're playing multiplayer the game is not a game but a puzzle. I doubt they will have fixed this in 2.

In the first game you really can't make mistakes in the single player. Make one sub-optimal move and you lose. That's a puzzle not a game. The original died really fast because of this. The online was dead. You had to join a special discord just to find games. I've noticed a lot of Wargroove content lately and now it makes sense. They were gearing up for the release of 2.

Hard, hard pass.

Re: Countdown: 3DS eShop Spotlight - HarmoKnight

I finally succumbed to years of this game being pushed as a great game. I bought it about two months ago just so I wouldn't miss out on it once the stores close. I hate this game. It's not fun. It's not really that cute. The music isn't very good. I really don't get it.

Re: Diablo II: Resurrected

@Coxula Nah I just thought your post was funny for being like really defensive for no reason so I pointed out how you being mad was misplaced and kind of dumb. Thanks for circling back though, your response made me laugh so it's like double the payoff on this side.

Re: Diablo II: Resurrected

@Coxula And even if you want to play offline on your computer you have to have a battle.net account. That's just how Blizzard is. It's really not that big of a deal. It's also free.

Re: Talking Point: Why Are So Many Remasters Sub-Par At Launch?

Goofonzo

Most people just buy video games. I know so many people who buy tons of games but never really play any of them. So the incentive for publishers to give their releases the quality they deserve is very low. If only 20% of the people who buy your game will have something negative to say then so what?

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Music And Rhythm Games

Goofonzo

Finally, my genre has been recognized! Rhythm games are my favorite games. But this list is too long, all you need is Everhood, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!, and Cadence of Hyrule. Those are the best. All others kind of suck to be honest. Especially the Runner games. Although Bit Trip Core was awesome.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime Remastered?

Goofonzo

Sometimes a game gets to be a legend. People hear about it, and having never played it, contribute to its legendary rise. I hate this game. I think it sucks. I don't get why people like it at all. I've played the trilogy, thinking I would find an answer eventually. Nope. Just a mediocre game. Remaster looks good, too bad the game sucks.
