Re: Soapbox: An Ode To The 3DS, Nintendo's Workhorse Console

First: The 3DS got me back into gaming. I had a trip to Paris planned for a few months after Pokémon X&Y came out and made it a goal to play X while sat by the Eiffel Tower. I scrimped together the cash and bought one second hand and played X in the grass by the tower on a beautiful sunny day.

Second: I had pet rats and they did bring me joy thankyouverymuch

Re: Even Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Is Getting A Battle Royale Game

I bought the Who Wants to be a Millionaire game on PS1 (I was a kid) and was so instantly bored I tried to take it back. The shop wouldn’t take it.

My dad took a liking to it but didn’t understand controllers so he would say the answers and I’d select them. He would regularly have to wake me up as it was so dull.

I have whatever the bad version of nostalgia is for this.

!!! I’ve wanted this for about 2 years! This is my most played game on the Switch, will be great to play with my partner.

ConcernedApe is an amazing developer, how he’s done so many substantial content updates for free is really nice.

@Snatcher It’s like if Animal Crossing had proper characters and actual quality of life features. For example, crafting multiples of an item is super quick. For me the game is more goal-orientated but you can get decorative like Animal Crossing if you want. It might not be for everyone but if you like the genre this is the cream of the crop.

Re: Poll: What's The Best 3D Sonic Game?

Aside from the Adventure games I’ve played quite a few of these and yet the only one I gave higher than a 5 was Colours. I don’t know why I do it to myself.

2D Sonic on the other hand would fare far better with most (NOT YOU SONIC 4) being good to excellent.

@OorWullie I feel similar, I really enjoyed it and completed a lot of it but it was so long and difficult in places I don’t feel like returning. I definitely don’t regret purchasing and am likely to eat the sequel.

But as for the Direct-ish, sounds good! If I’m available at the time I’ll drop in and see what’s going on.

Re: Sega To Celebrate Sonic's 30th With New Games, Major Announcements And More

I’m hoping for Mania 2, either with all new levels or callbacks to old levels from non-16-bit games. For example, Rooftop Run in a 16-bit style.

Second, I’m really hoping for a handheld port collection. The 3 Advance games, Rush 1&2 and Colours for the DS. I’d love it if for the Advance games they pulled back the camera a bit, it’s been done by fans on PC so it is possible.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Final Fantasy Game On Nintendo Consoles?

My favourite was IX until I replayed VII, IX and X all over the past year. I still gave 10 stars to IX but X has overtaken it for me.

X has such a rich world, a really diverse cast of characters and my favourite battle and levelling systems. Even the occasionally dodgy voice acting doesn’t really bother me as I find it kind of charming.

I had a Mega Drive game that I think was called Global Champions. It was HEAVILY McDonalds themed.

It was a run n gun sort of platformer where you collected McDonalds M’s and shot gloopy creatures. At the end of each level Ronald McDonald would be there waving a flag.

The best part was a mini game where you had to throw garbage in the correct recycling bin. That’s not a joke, I used to play that mini game more than the actual game.

Edit: Global Gladiators, didn’t see that part of the article.
