Yet another week has passed us by, giving us the very first review score for the upcoming Paper Mario game, as well as not one, but two cases of Animal Crossing fans being left upset over the game's latest updates. Now, though, it's finally time to sit back and relax.
Members of Team Nintendo Life have discussed their gaming plans below, and we'd love for you to join in via our poll and comment sections. Enjoy!

Next week I’m on holiday, which in the past would mean indulging in a whole bunch of games I’ve been saving up. However, given the events of 2020 so far, I’m in serious need of properly disconnecting and giving body and mind some real R&R. As much as I’d love to devote hours to Witcher III, I’m genuinely considering leaving my Switch at home and turning my phone off for seven days.
Maybe that’s a bit extreme, though. A decent compromise might be to throw (read: carefully place) my freshly backlight-modded Game Boy in a suitcase along with a handful of carts I’ve been wanting to play – Donkey Kong, Wario Land II, Gargoyle’s Quest, QIX and Duck Tales are on the list. None of your fancy internet connections, just some good old-fashioned handheld gaming. Lovely.

I can't believe we're now only a week out from the release of Paper Mario: The Origami King. I don't know about anyone else - but I feel like it's arrived so quickly! I guess it did, considering when it was announced. With my gaming schedule soon to be paper-filled with that, this weekend I'll be trying to cram in as many other games as possible.
On the top of my to-play list is Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, and I might see how the Switch version of Catherine: Full Body holds up if I get the chance. I'd also like to revisit River City Girls after WayForward confirmed its return earlier this week. Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

This weekend, I'll be focused on fitness. Quarantine has not been kind to my waistline - and a group of us are planning on holding a livestreamed 'Ring Fit Olympics' in a few weeks. Therefore, it's imperative that I begin my training. Also, it's extremely hot and humid outside these days, so a bit of indoor activity is much appreciated.
Of course I'll be playing Ring Fit Adventure, but I'm also eager to try Jump Rope Challenge (give me a Link costume and I'm sold). There's also Fitness Boxing, ARMS and Swing Mode in Mario Tennis Aces. My body is ready!

I’m looking at a shooting game heavy weekend with the arrival of Shmup Collection along with a 27-year late release of Amiga euro-shmup 1993 Shenandoah. Having given up hope of a physical release I also snapped up the eShop discounted Pawarumi. Add the PC Engine Mini shmup selection into the mix and you can bet those windows are gonna shake with all the reverb coming from my speakers.
My game of the week is Catherine: Full Body. At long last I am playing this surreal masterpiece. Please do remind me to never date a Catherine or Katherine, just to be sure.

The Switch’s most recent release window of games has done a real number on my backlog! Thankfully though, I’m taking the next weekend off and am sure I’ll find some time to knock out a few titles off the list.
I started up both Deadly Premonition 2 and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town this week for the video reviews we did on the YouTube channel, and as much as I’d like to continue both of them, I might strangely play Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair instead. It’s a game that’s been on my radar ever since it was announced and I’ve been waiting for a free week to dive headfirst into it. Donkey Kong Country 2 is one of my all-time favorites, and I’ve heard this captures its essence perfectly and mixes it up with a bit of 2D Zelda overworld elements. I’m all in!
I also recently finished up my first playthrough of Catherine: Full Body on Switch, and man, did that game nail a successful jump to Switch. I took the good boy route the first time though but am curious to see how Vincent's life changes when he gives in to temptation. But, I may also just pick up Deadly Premonitions Origins, as I feel I should play through it before I fully commit to the sequel. Any thoughts on the matter, Zach?
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

Will be finishing off Xenoblade Chronicles DE main story. Currently level 95, was at level 90 when I kicked the butt of the boss that stopped me from finishing the 3DS version.
After that, I may move onto Future Connected and perhaps Overcooked 2 as I brought that yesterday.
Moving on to Catherine, right after finishing Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected. I got burned out at Alcamoth (first visit) on my 3DS a few years ago... But this version is most definitely the Definitive.
My copy of Catherine: Full Body finally arrived in the mail today but before I can start that, I need to finish Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace which I think I'm about half way through. Been playing a bit of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix in between and doing my daily stuff in Animal Crossing.
Mainly Dark Souls Remastered, and some New Super Lucky's Tale to de-stress after.
Ninjala! Working on unlocking more stuff on this game. Recently just got a Naruto-ish headband which is really fitting!
I've temporarily dropped Xenoblade, as I'm too focused on Cold Steel 3 and I can't handle two lengthy JRPGs at once! 😩
@JR150 Make sure to wear it while playing the game..
Yooka Laylee for me this weekend....
This week I will be mostly playing
Mario + Rabbids
Tingle’s Balloon Fight
I’m currently engrossed in the Switcher. Very hard to put that game down.
But I’ve also started “To the Moon” which was on sale a couple of weeks back. It starts off weird but slowly pulled me in. I should also finish that this weekend.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2! It's magnificent.
I’ll be continuing Ys VIII and Project Warlock with some Picross S4 as well. Looking forward to the Sega picross
I’ve finally finished Persona Q2, which was great. Atlus love their enhanced ports so maybe one day it will come to Switch with an English dub.
Probably more likely than Persona 5! Which I’ve given up hoping for so I’m playing on PS3 when I have the telly. I’m chipping away at Persona 4 Dancing’s story when I don’t.
There is a bit of a theme here.
Animal Crossing New Horizons since morning until afternoon.
Since i already have my Top 10 villagers, my job as Villager Hunter was done.
I changed my job become Flower Exterminator since doing Time Travel so many times, i found there are Hundreds of Mums flower invaded the cliff.
It was very tedious job to scoop out All the flowers, removed them to garbage can since it was not efficient to run to Nook Cranny just to sell all the flowers and then go back to scoop more flowers.
I chopped down all Pine trees, Apple trees and Normal trees to clear the area and still have a lot of works to do.
I will continue again my ACNH after dinner time.
Animal Crossing for me too. I haven't played in about a week so it's time to get back into it.
Catherine full body and crosscode both games are a gem..
Persona 5 Royal still. 88 hours in and on the 6th palace. This game is long. Love it though.
ACNH Today. Later on might get some pinball action FX3.
bioshock twoooo. it's spoooky
Deadly Premonition 2 most definitely because I'm already loving it, and Sponge bob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated when I need a break from DP2. I might start Catherine full body but idk yet.
Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe😊.
I'd try Paper Mario but I am waiting for the reviews
@BANJO
ROFL. I meant I got the ninja headband in game as a cosmetic! Though buying a real one doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Horror Weekend! Last of Us 2, Resident Evil 3 and Doom Eternal. Might lighten the mood with just purchased Zelda Links Awakening. Looks gorgeous but I wish you could turn off or tone down the depth of field effect. It would look even better and might run smoother.
Gonna pick up and start Deadly Premonition Origins beens it has that juicy 50% off.
Just started Children of Morta on my Xbone, awesome game that I would rather play on the Switch but Game Pass is such good value I will play it on there!
@JR150 Haha, has to be done, need to look the part while playing...
This weekend is Diablo 3 on the Switch!
CrossCode mostly and maybe some Xenoblad Chronicles.
@charlieonholiday I played To The Moon about five months ago and loved it. Yes, it is a small and simple game, but the characters and story telling are memorable. I also love the music. I hope you enjoy it.
Maybe not too much this weekend. Will finish up the Trails of Cold Steel 3 demo and continue Fire Emblem Birthright.
Kind of searching for the next big game to pull me in. Shame that Ys VIII doesn’t have a demo.
@Anti-Matter Yes! it seems to rain on my island a lot, and those flower continue to grow. Whenever I have nothing immediate to do, I go around and pluck flowers and sell them in the bin in front of Nook's Cranny.
After finally beating Tales of Destiny this week (plenty of side content left, but the increasing recurrence of sporadic mid-battle freezing, an issue I apparently don't even have the right hardware to tweak away, left me discouraged from digging further), I've finally started a profound playthrough of Eternia - one of the entries I can confess most advance fondness towards, with the characters and the lore hooking me from the premise and first bites. That was also the day I jumped back into Steam sale's last train car and pulled the trigger on Symphonia - expectedly my next Tales flagship afterwards since I still have to skip ToD2. But for the next few months it'll be the adventures of Reid, Farah, Remedy and Keele (and whoever else may join later). Also as far as my PSP backlog is concerned, I'm planning to get back to Persona, although I'm still unsure about my chances against the upcoming "final" boss or whether I did everything eligible to advance the plot beyond him. 😅
On Nintendo front, it'll be the usual suspects plus more Mary Skelter. Might resume Diabolical Box as well, although I'm kinda leaning towards focusing on the remainders of Spirit of Justice and Vita-based 999 prior. Then again, I'm curious to see what happens to Layton & Co next, and the Double Gold Coin campaign the other day served as a reminder of my motivation to binge through the franchise towards Katrielle's escapades! Thanks for coming to my FWP talk.😆
Animal Crossing and Rocket League. I also picked up Quell Zen. It is a simple puzzle game, but the graphics and the sound are sweet and chill. I played them on 3ds, and they look good on switch.
Happy gaming, everyone!
I am still fine tuning some bits in ACNH but am totally addicted right now to Behold The Stickmen. If you overlook a few flaws - and TBH they aren’t that much of an issue anyway, this is an absolute gem!! As stated on NL its a bit speedball 2 and if you crank your speed up just enough its like that and a brutal, thuggish Sensible Soccer rolled into one. If the devs knew what they had on their hands an online mode would be superb. The game is hilarious as well. Made by a football hater but if you love football you will love this!!
Seriously - this is a peach and a gem that really deserves to become an indie classic!!!!
This weekend, I'll be fighting through the depths of heck in Doom 64. I'm a third into the game, and I'm enjoying it infinitely more than the N64 version. Thanks to being able to crank up the brightness to full, I'm finally able to SEE what I'm doing which makes a massive difference.
I'm also playing Hypercharge Unboxed with my wife, and we're having quite a bit of fun with this toy-based FPS. My only complaints are that the jumping and vaulting isnt very tight, and those beyblade enemies are far too OP for their own good. But the atmosphere of feeling like a toy, and the gameplay loop between shooting and defending your towers is second to none.
Since my last post, I was able to finish Super Crush K.O, and The Big Journey last week. Super Crush K.O had very addictive combat that really rewarded me for keeping a multiplier going, but did it ever get chaotic in the end with the amount of enemies they threw at me. The Big Journey was very chill for its 50 cent sale price tag, but playing as an adorable fat cat, rolling around eating dumplings justified the sale price just enough for me.
I'm really enjoying spending time after work relaxing with Rune Factory 4. And when she's in the mood to play, my partner and I are slowly working our way through Secret of Mana.
I'm near the endpoint of both FF7 Remake and Hollow Knight but I've lost interest in 7 (despite my love of the original), and HK feels like a boss rush near end game (and I'm struggling a bit).
I am currently playing Don't Get Caught. The story really picks up after about 2 hours.
No, just kidding. On vacation now but next week, Animal Crossing all the way!!
Don't Get Caught 😄👍
I'm playing mostly deadly premonition 2, but I take breaks on my island in animal crossing and beat aliens with the wonderfull 101.
Currently quite addicted to Galaxy Champions TV. I think that's a great little game.
I decided to try Vigor, so just waiting for that to download. Also playing Dragon View on the Evercade.
I will be putting in my usual Ring Fit time and continuing DQ Builders 2. I'm in Khrumbul-Dun building a certain girl a nice dressing room at the moment. Lots of fun.
Marathoning the sly Cooper games for the first time. If I get them finished hopefully some ittle dew.
I finished Deadly Premonition Origins for the first time last week so I'm playing Deadly Premonition 2 this week.
I find the lack of Deadly Premonition 2 disturbing.
Persona 4 Golden: fighting the killer (for anyone who hasn't played Persona 4 Golden, i won't spoiled who the killer is.)
Mario Kart 64: playing as mario.
Worms 3D: got it for PS2. because the Gamecube version was pricey, and the PC Version is no where to be found.
Bully PS2 & Bully SE
Working through the backlog, next game is I Am Setsuna... but I might fob that off for a bit and replay Sonic Rush first.
I’m trying to decide if I want Crosscode physical and digital, or just buy the physical and wait to play. Maybe play Tales of Vesperia so I can beat that before playing Crosscode. I beat Superliminal already: that game was so profound! And throw in a little Streets of Rage 4 since my physical edition came in this week.
"Did you see that Zach? Clear as a crisp spring morning! "F K"...in the coffee!!! I knew I could count on it. It never fails!"
Yeah, I'm gonna be checking out Deadly Premonition 2
I'm at the second to last boss in Xenoblade, so will probably finish it this weekend. Might wait with Future Connected a while, as I have too many games going on atm. Will focus on Catherine and Trails of Cold Steel III this weekend after I'm done with XC.
Really struggling with the last boss in curse of the moon 2. Any tips? Fire them my way. Other than that, borderlands 1 and maybe TW101R. As always a little clubhouse games
8% for ring fit. Keep going everybody! I just hit level 300.
Phew, I got a couple of new Switch games. Catherine and Disaster Report 4 for example. Maybe watching some movies
Saints Row 4 on Switch and Days Gone on PS4.
Just beat The Last of Us 2. Every time I try to play anything else, I just think about playing The Last of Us 2 again.
So uhhh, maybe I’ll do that until Friday. Paper Mario and Ghost of Tsushima are gonna keep me busy next weekend.
Got back into Fire Emblem 3 Houses. Probably get in on Smash Bros and Animal Crossing as well.
Jumped onto RDR2 after finishing Catherine. RDR2 is kinda slowwww on the PS4, dunno if I wanna continue but I'm gonna also play Beyond with my SO
Smash, Xenoblade 1&2 and Dragon Quest 11
Smash Ultimate. Picked up the new Octopath spirits last night, which was a good excuse to get back into the game. Picked up Ori and the Blind Forest recently and made a good start on that, but distracted by other games. Planning to get back to that for a bit more.
Xenoblade DE
Crosscode
51 worldwide games
Bloodstained 1 and 2
Managed to finish off the side quests for Xenoblade last weekend so back to XB1 stuff. If I play Switch this weekend it will be continuing with Wonderful 101 Remastered which I stopped playing when Xenoblade came out.
Taking a bit of a break from Fire Emblem 3H as I somehow managed to bag a bargain copy of Bravely Second from Argos so I'm dusting off my 2DS. Looking forward to the Switch sequel for this great franchise.
@dugan To the Moon is an intriguing game. A slow starter but it does keep you hooked
@dugan Are you Northern Hemisphere? I am and it's near constant rain or overcast. Never seen so much foul weather. Weather is worse than Skyrim.
Catherine: Full Body. It's not to often I get to enjoy an Atlus release on the Switch that I don't already own.
Also: Smash Ultimate, Ring Fit Adventure (finally got back to this), and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2.
I'm currently playing and enjoying Syberia II and Star Ocean: First Departure R, both on Switch.
I haven’t put any time in Borderlands like I thought I might so I guess it’s on the back burner for now lol. I’ll probably play some Fortnite but I haven’t been putting as much time into my Switch- still playing The Outer World on Gamepass! So fun!
I will be having the time of my life in Kingdom Hearts 3!
What was gonna be a fairly laid-back weekend devoted to gaming has been derailed a bit thanks to work; I'm dealing with a crazy customer issue that needs fixed fairly quickly.
My shortlist for this week/end:
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition - I'm on Chapter 13 but have taken a break from the plot to work on Colony 6. I'm using a guide for the latter as I'd be stumbling around for 20+ more hours otherwise lol.
INSIDE - Haven't started this quite yet, got it on sale and have heard decent things. I've also learned it's on the short side, so it should be well suited to a couple of sessions.
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls - I'm still playing this on 3DS every now and again. I think I'm over halfway through the main storyline, but it's very easy to get pulled into one of the many side activities.
Have a great weekend! Happy gaming!
@spirit_flame yes, i am, and that's a good comparison.
Be starting on The Outer Worlds. I was lucky enough to snag a physical copy earlier in the week, but been busy with V-Rally 4.
Astral Chain. Gorgeous, stylish game.
Burnout Paradise. So much fun.
Duke Nukem 3D. Gaming junk food at its best.
Sunset Riders. Already played through it, now just seeing how far I can get without using a continue.
Namco Museum Archives. Itches my retro scratch to play Galaxian, Mappy and Xevious.
Tetris 99. Because I play this at least once for 20-30 minutes a day.
Have a great weekend and happy gaming!
I beat the main story of Witcher 3 a few months ago, but that world is calling out to me so I'll probably jump back in this weekend. I'm sure I'll also play Splatoon 2, Rocket League, Super Mario Maker 2, Burnout Paradise, Marble It Up!, and do some exploring on my kayak IRL.
@spirit_flame So global warming is not happening fast enough...
Playing some Luigi Mansion 3.
I work all weekend but I have time to dig deeper into Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game is phenomenal, and it's becoming one of my all time favorites. I'm currently at chapter 10, about to head to the snowy mountains, which I'm excited for. Aside from that, I probably won't play anything else even though I bought Catherine: Full Body edition the other day.
@Anti-Matter just as a matter of interest which Villagers do you have and did you already know which ones you wanted?I know you do the time travelling thing which I'm not into myself but once you get rid of a villager is there any chance you could get him/her back? I Recently swapped out Cheddar for some Kangaroo thing and I instantly regretted it!
Ps4
Ni No Kuni 2 (At last boss but loving it so will continue afterwords with Side quests/City Building etc)
Death Stranding, love this game,it's so unlike anything else.
Switch
Xenoblade Chronicles,,
Animal Crossing.
Stay Safe everyone.
Some asphalt 9, finishing incredible mandy.
Waiting for paper mario.
I will probably continue Burnout 3:Takedown (PS2) and continue with Burnout Paradise (Switch), then continue Iron Man VR (PS4). Eventually, I will complete the main quest of Witcher 3 (Switch) also.
007: Quantum of Solace (Games For Windows) - Playing some multiplayer with a friend.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Back on the main story now.
Uno & Friends (Windows Phone) - Playing here and there.
@Wazeddie22
I already got All my Top 10 villagers. 😁
1. Raymond
2. Rooney
3. Wolfgang
4. Apollo
5. Curt
6. Jay
7. Sterling
8. Tybalt
9. Sherb
10. Marshal
Btw, what is your Switch FC ?
And what is your island name ?
My island name is SuperNOVA.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Fire Emblem: Three Houses for me! I'll keep plugging away at maddening mode until Paper Mario comes out.
Don’t get caught.... just kidding. Burnout Paradise, Mario Tennis, ARMS and FX Pinball
Want to get back to Fire Emblem Awakening this weekend. I was really enjoying it, but got sidetracked by Axiom Verge this week, and then couldn’t put it down till I’d finished it. Probably the second best Metroidvania on Switch.
same thing i play every weekend, pinky:
Taiko no Tatsujin and Ring Fit Adventure
Bloodstained Curse of the Moon (Xbox One) Since the second one just came out seems like a good time to finish the first one.
Stay Cool Kobiyashi San (Switch) A spinoff of the Kunio series, it's short but alot of fun especially with a second player. It also has high replay value.
Nothing. You'd figure with lockdown my Switch would be getting hammered, but due to being busy working from home and being in loads of video meetings and churning out work the last thing I want to do during my weekends is to sit staring at screens even longer. I have so much good stuff sitting there waiting for me to play but I just appreciate the break. I'd rather jump on my turntables or draw right now.
I'm re playing Pokemon Emerald
@Dpullam I'm still wondering if I should get Kingdom Hearts 3. Is it worth it?
I have so many games right now... : /. These great sales over the past few months have killed me. Currently playing ULT. ALLIANCE 3, OUTER WORLDS, WITCHER 3, DRAGONS DOGMA, and WOLFENSTEIN 2. Sigh....
Have to kill Imlerith this weekend. Son of a b**** has to die for what he has done!
Started secret of mana yesterday
Still working on a play through of FE: Three Houses on Maddening mode 😬
After that, looking forward to finally playing XCOM 2 on the switch.
Time to get back into the Rebel Collection
@Dark_Magician Even as a stand alone title, assuming you haven't played any of the others, it is still worth it. The game is just pure fun, mixed with classic Disney movies most people have seen. If you have played the previous entries, and have a good understanding of the story of Kingdom Hearts, I would say even more so. I haven't had this much fun in a long time just simply playing a game. I might be a little biased though since I have played most of the entries 7 or 8 times now. This is my first time through Kingdom Hearts 3 though. For me, the series brings something to the table that many other games cannot, and that is reigniting that spark of a childlike heart. Perhaps that is just me. From a gameplay standpoint though, it is probably the best the series has ever been. Even the story is solid as far as I am concerned. I know there are some people out there that take issue with the storyline in this particular Kingdom Hearts game, but for me it brings me back to the good ol days of gaming. Sorry for the rant, I just like talking about Kingdom Hearts. Let me know if you have any more questions!
I finally found RingFit a couple of weeks ago, so I'll be continuing my nightly, gruelling-yet-fun routine. Also CrossCode. Anyone who loves a good retro JRPG should buy that game immediately!
@Sim1 @dugan I think ACNH is set in a post global warmed world. You can grow any type of plant? And more... Nook is a rotund money grabbing dictator obsessed with spreading his doctorine to enlarge his populace. Resident Services has numerous speakers installed and lots of filing cabinets. Isabelle broadcasts party propoganda every morning. The balloons are sent in by a rival state to espouse freedom! Everyone on the island is paranoid and get agitated if you spend too long with them. Those Dodo guys are most probably CIA supporting the Nook regime. Finally, I don't think the residents leave the island... they are disappeared into that creepy looking door at the back of Nooks office.
Finally caved and bought a PS4. Ive been playing and loving God Of War & Spider-Man. Last of Us 2 arrived today.
I’ll prob pick up paper Mario when it comes out depending on reviews
@Anti-Matter I've just gone to look up your list of characters on line and am honestly shocked how many possible characters there are.I can't see myself getting Cheddar back lol
My Friendcode is SW-0224-6933-3129 and my Island name is Lands End which is all I could come up with lol
@SterlingEyes I’m very tempted to do the same. I have copies of Persona 5 and Bloodborne sat here waiting. Only thing that puts me off is I want a PS5 later in the year.
Currently on the Blood and Wine expansion of W3. Enjoying it
@mcdreamer I’ll def be tempted by PS5 but I’ll see how much I end up playing PS4. I’ve enjoyed switch because I don’t often have time to sit down and play a proper console.
If I decide to get PS5 I’ll just sell the 4 to help pay for it.
Also depends how much the 5 costs. I prob won’t get it til it drops a bit if it’s over £400
Not only do I plan to put some more time in The Witcher 3 but I might put a few more hours in Assassin's Creed 4 as well as Skyrim. To be honest though everyday feels like the weekend since I've been out of work. Restaurants going back to 50% dine in capacity here in Texas has made the wait to go back to work even longer so I'll just keep playing my Switch.
@Tyranexx I am finally playing Limbo! What an awesome game. Inside will be next.
Octopath Traveller for me
@Wazeddie22
I have added your FC.
My player's name = David.H
My island name = SuperNOVA
Airport color = Orange
I used Amiibo cards to summon old villagers from ACNL except Sterling (i got him from beginning by Reset Trick), Sherb and Raymond as two of them are new characters on ACNH. I got Sherb from Mystery island during finding for 3rd - 5th villagers and Raymond from Campsite with tons of Time Travel attempts.
To increase the probability of Raymond appear on Campsite as he is a Smug villager, i have kicked one Smug villager (Ken) from my island and i have 10 villagers after i kicked Ken. So the campers who will visit the campsite will be mostly Smug villagers with a little bit probability of other personalities. The probability has been increased to 1 : 30 something rather than 1 : 390 by visiting Mystery Island and wasting tons of Nook Mile tickets.
You can use Cheddar Amiibo card to summon him back to your island and kick the unwanted villager.
Playing mainly Story Of Seasons Friends From Mineral Town on Switch
This week I finished the messenger on the switch and timespinner on the Vita. I liked the
Messengers gameplay and writing more.
Then I started Duke nukem on the switch and ys memories of celceta on the Vita.
@Tyranexx @Tandy255 I made the mistake of playing Inside before playing Limbo. The latter was made first; Inside is a dramatic refinement of Limbo (in every sense of the word), though I have not quite finished Limbo yet. I found Inside quite strong, with a lot of haunting imagery, even if the replay value is limited. I took my time with it, and I felt that enhanced my experience. That said, I felt that Limbo has more clever puzzles (though they're obvious in retrospect). Have fun! We need more games like these!
@gb_nes_gamer how is project warlock? I have had it on my watch list since launch and was hoping for a quick sale.
Just beat Ori and the Forest!
Started Deadly Premintions 2 and am chipping away at God of War 4
@Tandy255 I picked up both LIMBO and INSIDE in one of the sales awhile back. I was told to play through LIMBO first and did so three(?) weeks ago. Definitely a fun, short puzzle game. Some of the solutions were interesting indeed. And you will die. A lot. I hope you enjoy the game!
@COVIDberry I've precisely heard what you're getting at, so I played LIMBO first. (See above )
I might dip into INSIDE in shorter sessions, thanks to yours comment. It'll be the perfect balance to XC:DE for now.
@Brodieman it’s a very good FPS. In the beginning you have to make use of an infinite throwing knife to reserve ammo for your pistol but stick with it. You soon find more weapons. They are satisfying to use and the upgrades are well done. The sets of levels are very diverse. You have medieval, Arctic, Egyptian among others. If your a fan of the genre and retro style graphics I highly recommend.
There is a minor glitch. When standing on the small elevators you hit the switch on the back wall to make it go up. Problem is, there are other switches on walls that reveal hidden enemies. So you hit a switch, step back turn around only to realise you were standing on an elevator. Elevators can’t be lowered back down so you have to restart the level to reach the area it takes you to, so you can complete the level. I’ve played through a lot of the game and have only encountered this twice. In other cases the level design is more clear that your standing on a lift. Otherwise it’s a great game.
I’ve seen the developer has been made aware via message board so hopefully will be patched soon
@Anti-Matter That's putting a lot of effort into getting your villagers lol
This being my only Animal Crossing game it's all new to me.To be honest I totally forgot about Amibo Cards.Never bought any but I may possibly buy Cheddar just to get him back.Trouble is,the fact you can only have 10 characters out of hundreds makes it frustrating when you come across new ones that you like.Ah well..
Cheers for the Friend Request,I've accepted it.
After really slacking on my island the last couple of weeks, I'm fully back on the Animal Crossing train! I'm also trying to gather the motivation to start Kingdom Hearts on my PS4... no luck so far 😂
I played some starlink yesterday, it's not grabbed me in the way that I'm desperate to get back to it but it's not bad.
Animal crossing
Xenoblade chronicles
Xcom 2
Finishing off the last of us part 2 before ghost comes out next week.
I completed the original DOOM this week which as expected was absolutely a blast. Was in the mood for something a little deeper and longer so I finally fired up my physical copy of Darksiders 1. About 8 hours in now and am absolutely loving it so far. Hoping to have it done by Friday so I can start paper Mario on day 1!
I'm playing Metroid. I'm getting closer to beating it. Look out Ridley!
Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Just so damn good.
I started playing Naruto ultimate ninja storm trilogy
I got Catherine in the mail this past week, but still working through Xenoblade: DE. Probably will be until Paper Mario: Origami King arrives, at which point my partner will take over the Switch.
