Re: Digital Foundry Is "Happy" With Switch 2 But Feels The Screen Is "Problematic"

Just to clarify, the Switch with the most playtime (aka battery life) is the OLED.

OLED screens don't have a backlight (like LCDs), which saves power...

From what I recall, Switch OLED only costed a few dollars more (in parts) per reporting.

So Nintendo really should have done the right thing and used an OLED from the start....

They aren't much more expensive (at part level), would extend battery life, and look better.

But sadly, Nintendo wants you to buy another system in three years to get those benefits.

While playing with family, I struggled to find the positives here.

This game is so aggressively bland, I swear it was AI-generated.

There's only a handful of design ideas here, repeated indefinitely.

This is electronic equivalent of a sleeping pill, producing nightmares.

You will struggle to awaken. We dubbed it "Not-So-Epic-Mickey".

My Wal-Mart only got one copy for each system.

If you want this game physical, don't sleep on it.

Things are changing, we're not seeing many big print runs.

It's happening with movies too, we're being pushed to digital.

Don't expect everything to be Clearance or Black Friday: only CoD.

Re: Vicarious Visions Is Seemingly No More After It Merges With Blizzard Entertainment

I'm afraid we'll see more of this under MS. They buy alot of Devs who just go on autopilot and then disappear. Blank checks don't result in good management and finished games. Look at 343, massive teams often lead to long development cycles and curiously unfinished games. It's almost like no one cares, because every game just gets dumped out on the GamePass feeding trough anyway.
