Re: Editorial: With Lowered Expectations E3 Can Still Be Full of Nintendo Magic

GTWarrior77

It might as well just be a Zelda U reveal as far as I am concerned. I couldn't care less about the other games that are mentioned.

I am happy for those who have additional games to look forward to and that Nintendo is catering to a bit of a broader audience, but for me personally there is zero hype (even Zelda) regarding this year's E3.

Yeah sure, I'll watch it. At the moment I'm more excited to see what Sony & Microsoft has to offer and I don't even own one of their consoles yet. Will probably pick up a PS4 in the near future.

Personally, I have been disappointed by Nintendo too many times and for too long. I really hope that changes in the near future.

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U Will Be The Only Playable Nintendo Game at E3

GTWarrior77

@crimsontadpoles Am I imagining things?....didn't Reggie say last year that Nintendo's E3 focus is always ONLY on games releasing within the same year. I guess they forgot when it came to Zelda. There are other examples (Mario Maker, Wooly World?) but I can't be bothered to look it up.

I know it's Nintendo Japan calling the shots, but still. Feels a bit like they're treating us like idiots.

Re: Macquarie Report Believes a Competitively-Priced Portable NX Could Land This Year, 'Console Partner Device' in 2017

GTWarrior77

If Zelda U will be available on both the WiiU and NX, I can easily believe that the home console will only launch in 2017 in order to shift as many copies of the game on the WiiU as possible.

With the NX home console launching in 2017, it will also give the illusion that the WiiU has been out for 5 years and WiiU owners are less likely to feel burned.

Anyways, It will be interesting to see what the Big N is up to.

Re: Review: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U)

GTWarrior77

I understand that this is only a filler game for this Christmas season but definitely not worth the full retail price. I don't think we'll see future dlc since Nintendo knows that people have complained about the lack of content and haven't announced anything yet. Will be sticking to the N64 version of Mario Tennis I think. Wouldn't mind a new Mario Golf game though.

Re: Site News: A Brief Update on Our Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Review

GTWarrior77

I was hoping that this game would be good and I don't have to play it so see that it's only a shameless cash grab, sorely lacking in features.
Would've gladly taken a remake of say Super Mario 64, for example, over something like this.
Not too much to ask since Zelda is on its 4th remake already in less than 5 years.

Re: Animal Crossing Series Director Explains the amiibo Focus of Happy Home Designer and amiibo Festival

As someone already mentioned here, make the main games first before flooding us with spin-offs. That's why e3 blew up in their face. Free download or not.

Also, as a Nintendo fan I think they have completely lost touch with what the fans want. Especially in the western world. I'm not very happy to be a Wii U owner right now. I really hope they don't call the NX the "NEW Wii U. I'm saying this jokingly, but I will seriously not put it past them.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Attempts To Explain Why Zelda Wii U Wasn't At E3 2015

GTWarrior77

Reading Reggie's response to the first question where he says, "the way we view E3...." and talking about not showing games long before release, etc makes me angry. What they don't realise, is that the way the customer views it and perceives it, is what is important.
I will have no problem with the spin-off Metroid and Animal Crossing games if I knew that AAA versions of those games were on the way. And there is the problem, Nintendo keeping quiet. They should have at the very least announced a Metroid and Animal Crossing Game, regardless of when it's coming out.
As much as I like NIntendo, they seem to be very detached from what their customers want.

Their approach to E3 actually doesn't make sense to me. The entire gaming world is focussed on E3 and that's the time to win new customers for your brand. The Directs, though great, is mainly for current Nintendo gamers and unless you follow Nintendo, you will not be aware of the Direct shows. So, E3 is the place to wow the world with all your great games. This E3 was a marketing fail for Nintendo.

Re: Iwata Vows To Listen To E3 2015 Digital Event Feedback And "Work To Better Meet Your Expectations"

GTWarrior77

With all their years in the games industry, they really could have ( and should have) done better. They know people want Metroid, they know people want Animal Crossing and yet they give us half baked versions of those games and expect consumers to be happy with that? At least one BIG surprise would've been nice. E3 is not over yet, but I'm not holding my breath for any surprises.

Re: The Splatoon Inkbrush Weapon is Set to Arrive Today

GTWarrior77

@Dpullam Have you bought the game yet? How fast is your internet? My reason for asking is that I've been enjoying Splatoon online and that's on a 1mb line over wifi. I've had less than a handful of disconections since launch day. Far less issues than what I saw other forum members report.

Re: Nintendo Has Unannounced Wii U Titles Which Will Launch Before April 2016

GTWarrior77

Animal Crossing Wii U. Will be VERY surprised if this doesn't get some attention at E3. As a grown man in his late 30's, should I be this exicited for a video game? Haha. Star Fox is the only other game I'm really looking forward to right now. Couldn't care less about another Mario game. The 3DS definitely needs some love also. Looking forward to a nice surprise or 2 at E3.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 1st April

GTWarrior77

People seem generally pleased with the Direct which is a good thing. Personally, Mario Kart 8 announcement at the end saved it for me. Nothing else really grabbed me. Nice to see N64 games finally arriving.

I wonder if we will see Animal Crossing on the Wii U?
