I have recently bought this as my first Shantae game but have yet to play it. I think I'll really enjoy it though!

Close tie for me between MK8 and Double Dash, but I voted for MK8.

This is a good list, I agree with it very much. I guess my only complaint would be to not have MK8 and Shovel Knight appear twice... they're both very deserving but it would be nice to see a couple others get a spot.

Regardless, what a great year for Nintendo! Here's to 2015!

I'm going to wait just a bit to see if I get any eShop cards for Christmas. There are a lot of things on my eShop wishlist I've held off buying, so I'm looking forward to finishing this deal!

Well we know that they will all come out someday anyways, just be patient for the one you want; and Nintendo would be stupid to not supply future waves better.

Those images are definitely fake, but I can' wait to see Pac-Man, Lucina, Ness, and Dr. Mario.

We can always get Dialga to clean up the timelines if they don't make sense!

Sonic CD has got to be one of my favorite games ever. I should finish my Steam version soon...

The worst thing about this is that there are young kids (and perhaps even adults?) who think memes are funny or awesome, and will pay $5 for this.

At the end of the day, no matter how awful this game is, the developer will still walk away with money from this game, which can be programmed by anyone with half a brain and an hour of free time. I guess that applies to most of the mobile market, but I digress.

Pretty late on this one... I see no reason why they can't have the voice actors come back to record. The announcer already needs to come back, anyways! I understand having a placeholder for DLC characters but it feels slightly lazy.

If it's true that it's a placeholder, then that means we should see more DLC characters than just Mewtwo. This conversation makes no sense for him, so if they were only planning Mewtwo then they could easily record a more specific conversation for him — this one must be vague for the intention of multiple characters. (But again I don't expect any more than 4 DLC characters so I don't see why new audio can't be recorded later)

Well, I'll consider Kirby, but I'd rather save my coins for some good physical rewards. (though that could take years)

Other than that these rewards are the Pits!

@randomlypikachu Yeah, I have to agree with you there. I don't really understand what's so bad about it. Honestly, of all the Mega Evolutions, Mega Alakazam's design is definitely not one of the worst offenders. Instead Mega Manectric or Mega Salamence come to mind...

I'll give you some of these, like Jynx (mostly a bad choice as it was accused of being racist — I mean they couldn't have seen that and thought it would be fine at the time), Castform, or Rhypherior.

Some I think are decent, like Barbaracle (reminds me of a Mega Man boss for some reason?), Mega Heracross (Heracross is also one of my favorites! high-five), Druddigon, Shroomish, Crustle, etc.

I do like Tropius though, I find him to be one of the better ones; though he'd be better if he didn't fly. I agree he looks strange when he flies. Also, it would be a bit better if you were more specific with Gen V — I mean honestly, surely, the worst Pokémon ever imagined must be Garbodor right? Of every bland Gen V design, that one easily takes the smelly, stale cake.

But overall a good list, @AlexOlney! Even though it's a lot more subjective, think you'd make a Top 10 Best Designed Pokémon? Or simply your top favorites?

@Damo Your poll doesn't mean what you think it means. You've split the only options other than 'Yes' into 'No' and 'Maybe'. But 'Yes' is still less than the combined total of the other two answers, meaning that the majority of people don't want one or aren't sure.

Man, you guys are so critical of other people sometimes. Not all of them are good at games but I bet there's something these kids are good at that I'm terrible at. And so what if they suck? At least they had fun.

Dangan Ronpa may not be popular in most places, but on Tumblr it's got a large following. It makes sense.

Animal Crossing is high up because people love the characters, making human versions of them, and creating blogs dedicated to their town, plus sharing QR codes all over. Smash, Zelda, and Pokemon have all simply been relatively huge and popular this year. (Pokemon of course is big everywhere, but has a sizeable fandom on Tumblr too)

For my past half a year there, this data really isn't surprising. Though I'm actually surprised Kingdom Hearts and TF2 are so high on the list, I haven't seen much of those.

But Sonic isn't as popular in Japan, right? Maybe all the quality game studios in Japan that actually gave a damn (Sonic Team) just don't see it to be worth it anymore. Sonic Boom done by BRB and only sold in the West should indicate that... Hopefully Sonic's just going through a rough patch.

In the mean time I'm just gonna keep maining Sonic in Smash Bros. And hey, Archie's Sonic comics are pretty good! Check those out?

Eh, a failed attempt and nothing more. I see Sonic Boom as more of an experimentation rather than an overhaul. It happens with time — give something a few decades and it will probably get redesigned.

Hopefully next we'll see a more traditional Sonic game that's actually good. In the meantime, the TV show is decent...

Well, the how-to-walk and how-to-jump videos are really helpful, but how do I turn on the game???

I pre-ordered the adapter, but the GameStop I went to did not have any shipments of the adapter, and the clerk said other GS stores in the area won't have any until next week.

She also said that Nintendo simply failed to get the shipments out on time, as the game and controller were on time but only the adapter wasn't. I am thinking this is mostly Nintendo's fault if other stores are sold-out as well like Best Buy.

Figma are top-quality posable figures, probably the best you can get (D-Arts comes close). They could be at around $30-$60 depending on where you order from. This, however, I don't think I can pass up... Hopefully they would make a Chrom Figma but I could see a Robin or Marth happening first.

And the article fails to mention that you can also swap out her head with her Marth disguise, mask and everything.

Aw, no mention of the music? Many new remixes and compoers on-board make the soundtrack fantastic.

Really curious how they would use amiibos in Pokémon games... I guess they could have Pikachu, starters, and some other favorites, but how could they possibly get used? There's no way they would make an amiibo for all 719 of them (though that would be amazing )

Maybe they will use the card amiibos for Pokémon instead. They could make a lot more cards of the Pokémon than figures, and these could be used like the TCG, affecting the battles in some fashion.
