Nah, I definitely agree that Zelda Maker would just not work. Primarily, it's too hard to implement and design as a functioning game, but also too difficult for the majority of people to easily make worlds, or at least ones that'd be fun to play.
I think a general dungeon maker would be very cool, but to limit it to the scope of Zelda gameplay would not be a good idea. Mario works because of its simplicity, it makes levels easy to make and to play, and really lets the creativity shine because of that. They could try it with another platformer like Kirby but really I think Nintendo did a great job with SMM and there's no real reason to make another platformer creator when you already have one that stars the most popular platformer ever.
Really not anything special... There's hundreds of videos like these on YouTube — it isn't all that hard to replace character models. They've even done it with Kirby before.
I just use an S-video to HDMI converter with S-Video output cables and it works good, but this mod would be even better. However my method doesn't work with NES, so I'd love to see these guys do a mod for that.
I can't wait to play this. I'm glad to see some other characters that haven't been announced, like Zagi from ToV and more Darkstalker characters. Also glad they mixed up the pair unit combinations so that their moves won't be the same as in the first game.
Seems like a ridiculous amount but if that really is necessary then maybe they should have given him a bit of mercy instead of only giving him 40 days.
Yes!! Nintendo has answered my prayers! Maybe we'll see some more Xenoblade characters like Shulk, he'd fit perfectly. Hopefully we'll see other franchise reps, but unfortunately since this game is dialogue-heavy we probably won't see Link, Zelda, Samus, etc. I would have loved to see Little Mac teaming up with Ryu and Ken.
Also, this makes me even more bitter that Sakurai couldn't have made Lucina or Chrom unique in Smash like they did here.
And again guys, relax, you just aren't going to see Sonic in this game. They only use human-like characters.
Honestly, it probably was a mistake for NL to report on this. I'd say, let people buy the game, play it, and be surprised at what they see at the end. Unfortunately now that people know it's in the game, they won't buy it (though the opposite is also true)
If you play through the game and like it, but this ending is enough to tarnish your experience of the game, then you really have some serious issues. That's all I'm gonna say.
"Hey, sorry that were blocking ad revenue from your videos and pulling them down, but we'll let you promote our game for us! So no hard feelings right?" - Nintendo
I'm surprised that this got a 10/10 yet at the same time I don't know what I expected, this site is biased (not always bad thing really, after all this is a Nintendo site) Based on the scoring policy, it seems a 9/10 would be more fitting because I can't imagine someone who doesn't like platformers enjoying this. Still, good review and I'm excited to play this when it arrives.
Also, is this the first Wii U game to get a perfect score here on NL? I can't remember anything else getting the score but I'm probably wrong.
I'm pretty excited for this but I still want to see more playable Pokemon and content. I'm not really sure if I'd justify a $60 purchase just from what I've seen so far, but I'm sure they'll add more to it by the time it's ready for Wii U.
This will be a hard time for the guy and I do sympathize with him, but he really had this coming. You just cannot talk the way he did when you're working for a company like that, it simply isn't his place. I understand it sounds a bit harsh to get fired for it but that's just the reality of it I suppose.
Maybe it's supposed to be a Pokemon based on ameobas or protozoas? I guess Reuniclus is already a cell-like 'mon but this could be based on something similar.
Hmm, she doesn't look too bad so I think I'll try to get her on amazon tomorrow! As for Dark Pit I'm not really sure, I highly doubt my local BB would have him.
I think objectification and sexism are real problems in the game industry (and I'm a feminist too, so I guess that makes me an SJW right?), but I love SK. Maybe it is a prime example of those issues, or maybe it isn't so much, honestly I still can't decide. At the very least the game is honest and upfront about what you're getting, and if that is where you draw the line then there you go. But for those of us who don't mind it, there's a lot more and a good game under the surface, and I'm pleased Takaki wanted to make sure of that.
Still very hard to take it in... Seems like he had quite a few years left ahead of him. I think the last words we heard from him was his apology for E3, so I hope he wasnt still upset in these last few weeks. Hopefully he died peacefully and will continue to rest in peace.
Not my favorite Kirby game, but it was my first and I have a lot of great memories with this one. Doesnt quite hold up to other Kirby games but it's good on its own.
Well this wasn't quite what I expected, given from the initial trailer I thought it'd be darker. But now that the concept is explained it makes more sense. It's a little bit goofy and anime, similar to P4 but not totally. I think this just shows the sillier side of Atlus.
Anyways, as long as the combat is good, this will be a must-have for me.
This article sounds a little misleading. I don't think when you play a user generated level you get to 'keep' the Suit and add it to your collection. You only get to use it during that level.
