Nintendo of America Announces Upcoming eShop 'Cyber Deals'

Maybe I'll finally have Wonderful 101!

I will get these games if i can access the Eshop,cause i keep getting the same message and code saying the servers are down!Ugh and i know i'm the only facing these problems.

Finally a sale on Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Wario Land 4 for the Wii U vc.

Might pick up Superstar Saga since I need a new copy (GBA cart doesn't save) and the DDP is ending soon.

The Critic reviews for the wonderful 101 aren't that great but from the people who have played it that aren't critics say it is amazing... I really don't know what to do. can the Nintendo life community shed some light to help me?

Wonderful 101 is one of many game on the Wii U and 3DS that I need to play by the end of this generation.

I might snatch up the digital copy of the wonderfull 101 or Wii Party U to score the DDP credits, or Luigi's Mansion so I can give the physical copy to my girlfriend, I'm hoping that there will be discounts on the odd 3rd party game that I don't have yet...

I'm also curious if Metroid: Fusion is good. Can anyone tell me?

@InfernoUprising W101 is an interesting game. It certainly doesn't deserve the critic backlash it seems to get. The controls are odd and a little frustrating to get used to, but once you get the hang of everything, you feel stupid about it ever giving you trouble. I bought a physical copy for $30 earlier this year and I'm glad that I did.

@InfernoUprising If you are a fan of action games it is a must have, if you're not though, you may not like it. I think it's a decent game but it's controls are pretty unwieldy.

@FeedingTheWheel Metroid Fusion is awesome. If you like Super Metroid at all it's a must-buy!

@InfernoUprising sure. It's a very good game, witg tons of action and an entertainkng story, complimented by some pretty inventive uses for the GamePad.

That said, the game has received the scores it did (which I think are a bit on the lower side given how fun the game is) because there are a few frustrating flaws. The GamePad needs to be drawn on at times to activate certain powers, but there are many times when you're trying to do this quickly in the heat of action, and it mistakes what you're doing for either another ability or random doodling lol. Also, the characters are small onscreen, so at times when there is a lot of stuff going on, it can be hard to keep track of what you're doing.

One thing that isn't a flaw necessarily, but does factor into how one enjoys playing, is that the game is rather high on the difficulty scale. While it lets you choose your difficulty, even the easy mode can be challenging for those who are not as accustomed to frenetic action games like the ones Platinum makes.

Other than those things (which aren't game breakers, just a bit frustrating), the game is great. I've seen a lot of 7s in critic scores, and I think that's much too low. An 8 would be fair in my opinion, and I'd probably personally score it 8.5. Hope that helps!

@InfernoUprising At the risk of sounding redundant I'll echo the other replies by saying "get it you won't regret it". It is not only one of the most unique games out there but it is , in my opinion of course , one of the best games on Wii U . Even with smash bros already out W101 is still my favorite game on the system . It has tons of replay value , fantastic set pieces the boss battles are amazing , and the secret code to play as bayonetta has been released !

If the price is right I'll get Metroid Fusion since I already own it hard copy and 3DS embassador

Is this a hint for Donkey Kong Contury 1,2 and 3 coming Wii U eshop in North America?

Well I know what I'm buying then.

If I knew for a fact I could get it, I'd get Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon since I still have to play that. Otherwise I hope we get a couple surprise Wii U discounts, since I already have just about everything there except for Wii Party U.

Oh, and PS: I have to chime in with everyone else about Wonderful 101, especially if it's gonna be on sale. It's worth it. Yeah, there are some frustrating elements to it that others have done a great job of explaining, but if you like the gameplay and visual style that might be enough to help you overcome those frustrations. I'm glad to have a copy!

Definitely getting Mario & Luigi, and depending on the price, I may get a digital copy of the awesome W101. I wonder if loading times are lower than using a disc based version.

I appreciate the heads up of the discounts. I was just about to buy Metroid Fusion. Now just a few more days before I can experience MF for the first time.

I wish we'd get a discount on Pushmo World. Europe got a discount for owning a 3DS version, so it's just annoying that NA has had no kind of discount on it.

Just saying, but on NOA's official site for this, they spelled Luigis Mansion as Luigis Masion.

W101 and Superstar Saga are the only ones interesting... But 30% off just isn't enough for me.

Sales are good, 30% off is good, we'll have to see about the "up to", and the selection is somewhat limited.

This seems like one of their usual sales, nothing very black Friday about it. Better than the Jet game though. (Blocked punt touchdown, I hear the fat lady singing - Turn out the lights the partys over - and she sounds like Don Meredith.)

With the max discount being 30% off it's doubtful that any of these will be priced lower than their physical counterparts on Amazon during a non-sale period, so unfortunately I won't be getting any of these. The VC titles are a bit of a better deal though, seeing as I'm sure a lot of people don't like getting used GBA carts off ebay. So saving a couple bucks on those might be nice.

I'd be all over those VC games if the sale comes to Europe.

I could get Metroid Fusion, but I won't - I got way too much on my plate already, and it seems likely that it will be a Club Nintendo reward in the future (and at this point, I got like 900 unused coins).

Currently on metacritic, it has a score of 78. That's a good score. It's not the best, but it still says that for the most part, it's a good game. I don't understand it why people think that the critics don't like this game? No every game is going to get a 9 or 10!

I would personally give the game a 7/10. I would also like to point out that IMO, W101 is not as good as both Bayonetta games.

Fusion was also the worst Metroid game until Other M released--the first game in the series to remove exploration for a forced linear gameplay experience.

I think all the GBA VC games should be discounted. Or all VC games.

I just want Metroid: Zero Mission. Fusion is so blah.

Been waiting for W101 to go on sale, and its perfect timing for Dream Team to go on sale. Leaving Saturday for a business trip right up until Christmas, so I'll definitely be picking up DT for the road...

I wonder if Nintendo going to swap out these games with different offerings after these expire. It'd be great if they had different games every week until Christmas.

For anyone thinking about Wonderful 101, KMart has them on clearance for $6. They also have Batman Arkham Origins for $4.

@InfernoUprising If you like to get your ass kicked in a videogame, like Power Ranger-style games, funny dialogs and dorky epicness go for W101. Amazing game, fun and challenging from beginning to end.

I personally don't download full games. Think they take up way too much space. But maybe I'd consider getting a Wii U download game, as I have the black one with amazing memory (My family has a thing for amazing memory... We also got the Xbox 360 with more storage [I'd have to say... 20 gb? Compared to 4 gb.])
