I dunno about the DLC... The Personas may or may not be worth the price based on the stats and skills they provide and the navigators are nice, I suppose, but this stuff should be sold in packs rather than individually, by themselves they don't seem worth the price.
Persona for Wii U... Please!
I would buy DLC if it were an extra bunch of new labyrinths. Character DLC doesn't appeal to me at all.
Man, I just can't get into anything Atlus publishes or makes. Hopefully Citizens of Earth can change that.
Looks like a cute game. Gotta get.
@Blast They kinda already announced Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
After four hours of play on Risky I can safely say this game is awesome! Will be getting the DLC personas.. Except I won't use Thanatos or Magatsu Izanagi until I'm on New Game +
Ugh. I love Atlus, but most of their choices lately worry me...a lot. I'm just about ready to drop them entirely and skip the whole "Final Fantasy XIII-2" era that I strongly feel is coming...I could be wrong, but the slog of Persona 4 spinoffs, near-worthless DLC in every one of their new games, and new obsession with remakes doesn't bode too well in my mind.
At least I still have my precious Monolith and Intelligent Systems to keep me hanging onto JRPG's for a while longer.
@KromCompany just to warn you.. The game is rated M for a reason won't spoil, but let's just say this Persona fan is pleased..
@R_Champ but this is not a persona 4 spinoff.. It's a lovingly made on-the-go JRPG with two fantastic casts, amazing Shoji Meguro sounds, a much bigger look into each characters backstories, and the same addictive fusion and combat systems we all know and love. As for the DLC.. I don't mind, I love Thanatos and Magatsu Izanagi, and Orpheus Telos/Kaguya are free. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got about 160 (60-80 per playthrough) hours of JRPG awesomeness ahead.
Wow, so not only is this $10 more than the average 3DS game, they also have DLC planned. I will pass.
@sinalefa Atlus is known to charge an extra $10 for games in the SMT and Persona series, as Shin Megami Tensei 4 was also $50 when it released.
But, SMT4 was a top tier game, and the first direct sequel since 2004. It scored pretty high on Metacritic, but Persona Q is actually scoring even higher than SMT4 did.

Of course do as you wish, as for myself I have the game coming, but I do think I'll have to pass on the DLC, unless they offer something better in time
@sinalefa it's dlc that's already been out in Japan. At least it isn't day one on-cart dlc.
Is that game anti Christian?
Ugh... Of course they would make me pay for Thanatos and Magatsu Izanagi...
@3DSFlo It references mythological creatures and figures but is not at all anti-Christian. It might have some more mature themes but it isn't anti-religious.
@3DSFlo No. It's a fantasy video game.
@3DSFlo coming from a catholic and long-time SMT fan, no. It's perfectly fine.
I spent the whole day playing the game. I really enjoyed it.
I love the game, but that DLC at that price... Clearly not enough content for it. Now I'm used to Nintendo-quality DLC...
@JaxonH
And Fire Emblem Awakening scored even higher than both, and Nintendo never asked for more than $40. Nice to hear the games are great, but that should not be an excuse to charge more. IMO they are just banking on the IP and squeezing more money out of their loyal fans.
At least with SMTIV they had a book and a CD if you ordered them in their first run, plus the promo that Nintendo ran giving $30 on eShop credit, so I did not mind paying $50.
@sinalefa can't argue with a single word. Very true
Waiting for mine to arrive to me from amazon next week. I just eu gets the same treatment with the dlc.
And there's paid DLC? This game is ticking me off more and more
I hope this game does well merely for more future options, but the price settings is making me wonder how well it will do. Persona is amazingly good, but just makes me wonder...
I'll only buy DLC if it allow me to play as the female protagonist from Persona 3.
I'm sorry! Persona 3 Portable was my first Persona game, and I fell in love with that character. I don't mind dating guys in that game!
@sinalefa Word. Bought FE, SMTIV, and PQ wild cards edition. I love PQ's special edition (the case!), but I can admit that SMTIV had batter stuff for a better price. PQ's cd, while good, could have had sooo much more music. I love the bundled manual for SMTIV. Wish all games came with a manual, frankly (like SNES Earthbound). In regards to DLC, FE had a lot. Some were story based, but most were overpriced.
