@RainbowGazelle Yes, but iirc you could get some stationary with Play Coins. Ninty doesnt seem to remember those eh? What ever happened to trying to get people to walk or take their 3DSes out with them and encouraging the use of StreetPass? No, they go for the microtransaction route instead.

@Snader Use a USB adapter... Like it says in the instructions. Also, I believe someone out there made a way to get the Wii U GCN controller adapter to be recognized on PCs, since that also connects to the Wii U via USB.

I highly doubt this would have turned out well so they made the right decision. If you can't perfect a new game mechanic, then I think it works best if you can fine-tune an existing mechanic — and thus we got one of the best Marios, SMB3, instead of some unique isometric platformer that wouldn't work quite right.

However, it's still really interesting to know they were thinking of 3D platformers even in the NES days. The only game I can think of that does that on NES is 3D Worldrunner... I can safely say I wouldnt have enjoyed a Mario game designed like that.

Vague and somewhat misleading article though I know it wasn't intentional. I, like a few others, thought you meant battling, trading, etc. would be disabled. That's usually what I think when I see Pokemon and online features in the same sentence.

But nevertheless, that's a relief. Miiverse and the Internet browser will not be missed by me.

Good. I don't know if my Pokemon are too weak or I'm just bad at the game, but I've never come close to taking down a Gym.

Hate to say it but I couldn't pick 5 that I am even remotely interested in. Pokemon and Shantae were all that I picked.

It definitely seems accurate when you take his moustache off, but I've always had a funny headcanon that video game characters age with their games. As such, Mario would be about 31/35 and Sonic would be 25.

However I also like to think of Mario and Luigi as the same age as their Super Mario Bros Super Show counterparts... Just very spry middle aged pasta lovers.

@Yorumi True, I could do that but it just isn't worth it. I only wanted the card as a nifty physical bonus but wouldn't actually pay for one. As for Arceus, I already have one so it's not a big deal, but would be nice if they redistributed it as I won't say no to free Pokemon.

Nice, but I think I already got Darkrai in May. However Arceus cards from GS in August were entirely sold out everywhere, so I hope they redistribute that one too.

I need these so bad, 8-Bit and Ocarina Link are a must-have for me. I audibly gasped when I saw them revealed (which doesn't happen often)

I'm actually pretty excited for this. It doesn't look very polished and I need to see some more gameplay and multiplayer options to be convinced, however the character designs look good and I think this has potential to be really fun.
