Mekazoo is a particularly promising platformer, with eye-catching visuals and gameplay that brings to mind a rather quirky take on the Retro Studios Donkey Kong Country titles.
The Good Mood Creators, the studio that's been working on this title, has now released a fresh trailer to show off more game footage and one of the boss encounters. You also get a further sense of how switching between animal forms is important in dealing with the environment.
With single and co-op play, Mekazoo is targeting a summer release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with Wii U to "come soon after that". We spoke to the studio's James Hoag last year about the ambitious project.
Do you like the look of Mekazoo?

Looking good so far
If trailers were enough to go on this would be a must buy for me. Certainly they've done an excellent job with the art design.
Looks like a mix of Donkey Kong Country, Sonic the Hedhehog and Armillo. And by the way, that is a pretty good combo!
I just hope Wii U version plays as well as other versions.
Are you sure, that there will be a Wii U version?
LOL WiiU soon after. So it's up in the air. Anyway, looks cool. Seems fairly unique without directly copying another game.
So, NX launch title?
It looks like a techno version of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze with a really catchy soundtrack. This is definitely something I am interested in and will probably pick up for my XBOX ONE this summer.
Yes, I do like the look of Mekazoo. And the gameplay too...
Oh there's gonna be a WiiU version. Lol.
Wow, what a trailer, and what a music!
Looks like it could be good fun, i'll certainly keep an eye on it. My only criticism is that parts of the trailer did make it look kind of derivative, obviously shan't judge it just yet though.
Look fun but not a fan of the overuse if glowing neon everywhere, I found it hard to read what was going on in parts. Soundtrack was great though
Looks good... Assuming that it comes to the Wii U, I'll definitely keep an interested eye on it and with positive reviews add it to my library
The cuts on the editing were too short for me to make out what I was watching. The art style is different, that's a certainty.
Looks very neat.
However I fully expect the Wii U version to be delayed, then not be mentioned for a long time, and eventually to be quietly canceled.
Looks great! Too bad the Wii U version will probably get canceled, as these things often do. And even if it doesn't, there's not much point in releasing that version if it's going to be delayed by much. Staggered releases generally kill off any chance of success for multi-plats on Wii U, even when that platform's owners are the ideal audience for a given game.
@NintyMan, @KoopaTheGamer
Looks to me like all of those plus the idea behind Space Station Silicon Valley. Except, y'know, better implemented and without all the glitchiness... Still like that game though. And this looks great, too!
Very cool looking! Just needs an awesome soundtrack to match.
I once had an idea like this, never had the time to actually make it
Reminds me with Sonic games
Looks quite awesome
@DiscoGentleman
My thoughts exactly. Precision controls would seal the deal
Woah where did this game come from??? Never even heard of it. Looks awesome!! I don't want to get my hopes up but I think I may purchase this. And if it's good I will pray for a phsyical release.
I am very excited for this one.
Thank you, random game I will never play, for causing the Freakazoid! theme song to get stuck in my head all day.
@Solid_Stannis Super teen extraordinaire. Freakazoid! Freakazoid! Runs around in underwear. Freakazoid! Freakazoid!
Rescues Washington D.C. Freakazoid! Freakazoid! Unless something better's on TV. Freakazoid! Freakazoid!
