I know this is random, but did Shadow Labyrinth run well on Switch 1?

I'm considering a Namco order of this and SL soon since they both have Switch 2 upgrades.

Maybe instead of comparing it to things that have no relationship to the film at all, we take a look at who's actually working on it.

Wes Ball, who's saying all the right things, has only really done the Maze Runner films, which I have no idea about their quality. I know I'm excited for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and that's my deciding factor on him right now.

So let's look at the writer next. Derek Connolly has actually written scripts for Safety Not Guaranteed (which is a gem of a little film), Kong: Skull Island, and Detective Pikachu. Really, his worst films are ones that he only has story credits on, like the Jurassic World films. It really could go either way.

Lastly, outside of Miyamoto, we have two other producers: Joe Hartwick, Jr. and Avi Arad. Hartwick's mostly worked with Wes Ball. Okay, fine. But Avi Arad is the biggest hack working in Hollywood right now. He's had a stranglehold on every single Spider-Man film, from the brilliance of the Spiderverse films and the Rami trilogy to the complete dumpster fire of the Amazing Spider-Man duology. And let's not forget Venom, Morbius, and Madame Web. And that's JUST Spider-Man stuff. He's currently working on Borderlands and did Uncharted. His video game film resume isn't great.

Of course, it's only in pre-production. It's way to early to determine if this will be any good. All you can really do it look at what's available and make decisions based on that.

Pokemon Conquest is incredible. There might not be a lot of fans, but there are DOZENS OF US!!!! DOZENS!!!

I really really want Duck Hunt Dog. I have the Famicom ROB, so I'll pass (for now).

Although an actual ROB unit is my holy grail, so I'd gladly pick up one instead.

Is that the full list? I've been eyeing Chrono Cross for a while.

I'm really looking forward to playing this at some point. It's exciting to see this game leave Netflix. When I first saw it, I got really excited, but I'm kind of done with them at the moment.

Does this have non-motion controls?

EDIT: I will say that I'd love to see Sakurai make a non-Smash game again.

The Wolfenstein reboot made me a fan of Machinegames, and I was planning on getting a XSX eventually, so I'm really excited about the possibility of more old school FPS games.

I realize I'm probably the only one excited about Frogsong, but I am a sucker for cutesy games.

So is this game still a mess? I've held out hoping it'd get better, and I suppose this is the last chance.

It feels more like "Long-term, we want to be on all consoles, but short-term we can't."

@Grumblevolcano I could see the original Luigi's Mansion being re-released for the Switch 2 rather than the current model. That would maybe give it enough to work with.

Or it could be a future Direct shadowdrop. Who knows?

I really hope they add some more titles to the NA Black Friday list. I'm hopeful that something like Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe or Bayonetta Origins ends up there.

I don't have faith in this performing well. That's my big purchasing factor here.

While I'm sad that I had to cancel my preorder (money is starting to get tight around this holiday season), I'm definitely using Christmas money to pick it up.

Man, they are really, really, REALLY drip-feeding us the GBA/GB games. It feels like the missing N64 games are an afterthought, let alone anything new-ish.

I really, really can't wait to see what Pikmin 4 does worldwide. I feel like there's an outside chance it crosses the 10 million mark.

I might be in the minority, but I mostly play docked anyway. I don't mind if it runs poorly while it's in handheld mode.

I was so disappointed to see that it just wasn't on the eShop this morning. I'm glad they delayed it instead of launching it with a bug, but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed. I was so, so excited.

Sea of Stars and Wrestlequest for me. I think I’ll pick up Venba today since it’s on sale. I’m almost hitting my limit for the month, and it hasn’t even started!

I also own the original on Wii U VC, but I'm still picking this one up at some point. I love how pretty it looks, and for me, I don't mind spending $60 for the massively updated visuals and improved soundtrack. I love stuff like this.

@shgamer usually they include that phrasing and it just is referring to software. They're probably mentioning a game or two that's a 2024 release.

How easy is it to pick up and play Dead Cells? I love Metroidvanias, but this looks... really complex.

@SuperWarioWorld it's also worth mentioning that outside of the Wii, the consoles that Zelda titles were on sold significantly less than the Switch.
