I was mildly interested in this, but I'm not paying $60 for a game I already own plus it's DLC.

@darylb24 a game with a 10/10 doesn't have to be genre-defining or boundary pushing. Things can just be the best possible version of what they are.

@TigerJump98 I'd never expect them to actually do it since attempts have fallen through in the past, but that's the perfect game to add additional content to.

Yeah, I heard this was cancelled a while ago. Allegedly, it was using UE4 and Nintendo was circling Switch 2 exclusivity, but they wanted it in UE5, so they scrapped it instead of converting it. I was told it was incredible though.

Does this fix some of the grindy stuff that pads the game?

@Bizzyb I got Prime 4 and Pokémon Legends instead. $50 was still a lil too much at the moment.

I didn’t expect a Mario Tennis update, and it doesn’t seem terrible, but it’s not enough to get me to pay full price for it.

Is the DLC exclusive to the Switch 2 Edition?

As an owner of the physical edition, I truly hope this gets added as part of it.

@SegaDude113 I was recently thinking about how much a Rare Replay Nintendo Switch 2 Edition would slap. Add in all the Nintendo content with behind the scenes work on it, and you got me.

@MyUsernameWasTaken fair point. I think so many of the 5th Gen games are better with nostalgia goggles, especially since visually a lot of them are rough.

So now that this is here, what first-party N64 games are still missing? I know there's Diddy Kong Racing, Smash, and 1080 Snowboarding (I think).

Oh wow, I'm old. Very old. This was the first game I got with my DS Lite. I wish I knew where it was so I could at least put it with my GBA SP. It's really difficult to think where we'd be without it in all honesty. I think it was a massive reason to by a DS back in the day, especially since for a lot of people, myself included, 2D Mario was Mario for me. I never owned an N64, and when we got a GameCube, we never bothered with Super Mario Sunshine. So yeah, I love the first game in this series. Wii was fun too. I own 2, but I've never played it, and U is fun, but it's not revolutionary the way the first one was. I'm glad it exists, and I truly would love to see the other 3 games return in some way in the future. Preferably not as 3 separate releases.

@Not_Soos Amazon has the same deal, and I haven't had any issues with them so far. I even cancelled my Walmart order too because I got nervous once my money got refunded. I only really pre-ordered from Walmart since it charged my card with the initial purchase.

I'm still going to play these regardless if they're meh without VR.

I also agree with a lot of the posts here being disappointed at the lack of obvious missing titles. It is a bit frustrating, but it's also $50 a year, so I'm not going to complain too much.

I also say this as someone who's about to drop my PS+ subscription to the lowest tier because over $100 isn't doing it for me.

@nessisonett honestly, it's probably the best place for it. I thought I'd be fine playing these games with the headset, but the eye strain is real. Or I'm just getting old.

@thenikdavies for what it's worth, it's pretty standard for coffee table books, a little bit on the more expensive end, but still better than some I've paid for.

Will they get reissued? I wasn't getting amiibo when SSB4 came out, and even if I did, none of these were on my radar.

I might try it if I'm in one this weekend. I just wish it wasn't in-store only. These are great if you're a kid or you're at a Best Buy and the games are in the corner of a store, but idk.

We're just at a point where all that matters is growth when it's not sustainable for anyone but the absolute richest while the rest of us drown living paycheck to paycheck. THAT's the bad part, and if you can't recognize that, I don't even know what to say that isn't what you probably deserve to be called.
