Dutch retailer Nedgame has posted a listing for Oddworld: Soulstorm, a remade, reimagined version of Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus that released on PC and other consoles in 2021 (thanks, MyNintendoNews).

The listing currently has the game available for pre-order for €49,99 with a placeholder release date of 31st December 2022.

The game is a sequel to 2014's Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, which is already available on Switch, so it would certainly make sense to have Soulstorm available on Nintendo's console, too. That would make it the fourth entry in the series to come to Switch following the aforementioned New 'n' Tasty in 2020, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath in 2020, and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee in — you guessed it — 2020. A bumper year for Switch-owning Oddworld fans, it would seem.

Critical reception for Soulstorm was somewhat mixed. Our friends over at Push Square called it "a tough game to love" in their 4/10 review:

Oddworld: Soulstorm presents itself well and shows a grand vision for the series, but as a modern game, it's just not where it needs to be.

So, if this is indeed coming to Switch, let's hope it arrives with some tweaks and improvements to enhance the experience.

While this isn't confirmed yet, just the other day Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway was revealed early via retailer listings.

Excited that Oddworld: Soulstorm might be coming to a homeheld near you? Let us know below.
