Chris Pratt Has Seen The Super Mario Movie Teaser, Says He's "Blown Away"

GAHH! IM SO EXCITED! Forget the haters, i get that they're cautious but as for me i'm just so ding dang hyped!!!! bring on the trailer, nycc!

I'm stoked. He won't go two-for-two stinkers with Jurassic World Dominion and then this movie statistically. I think this one's gonna be good!

The 'Super' part of Mario Bros. journey are the bros we made along the way.

As for this Mario movie i think it might be pretty good since movie creators started to listen to fans. Look for example Sonic turned out to be quite good atleast i liked it.

I really wonder what that voice will be like. We‘re used to hearing Charles Martinet as Mario for over 20 years now, it will be strange.
Whatever it will be like, I‘m sure Nintendo-focused Youtube channels will be filled with new memes and for that alone it‘s worth it.

Everytime I try to get a bit hopeful for this movie, I read the cast list. I just hope if they go the meta-route the script is solid.

I’m excited for this film! I’ll just be glad if they don’t force a woke agenda into this project. Thankfully Nintendo has it’s head on straight.

I’m actually really excited for it! I’m not too worried about Mario’s voice, but we had the Mario tv show and that voice was different as different can be, so. I’m sure i will enjoy it ether way.

To think Sonic and mario will have some of the best video game movies to be made, that would be so cool!

Let's be real- a teaser trailer isn't going to blow anybody away.

Kinda tired of this weird fascination of replacing (or not hiring) professional voice actors in favour of famous actors... it even happened with Final Fantasy VII Remake, where the people who had been voicing the characters in English for almost 20 years were all unceremoniously thrown out, (it didn't happen with any other language) and they weren't happy about it... I wish more people cared about that...

Imagine the new Mario voice will be deeper and more masculine.

I trust Chris Pratt’s assessment of this trailer. He is so impartial and cool.

I really hope the film is good but regardless of whether it is or not i can't wait for the Charles Martinet dub.

Video game movies are not my cup of tea. Even if this one is well received, I would have personally preferred a new 3D Mario game instead of a movie.

That said, Nintendo will probably earn a lot of money from this movie. I hope that whatever changes occur to the Mario series via the movie do not spill over into the game universe. Charles Martinet will always be Mario to me.

@steventonysmith So check your facts It made alot of money from those movies and the critics well received it so.. i don't know from which perspective they were trash. If you don't want to admit that they were good oh well your problem.

Watched uncharted last nite with no expectations. Was pretty good x

@iaLgan I don't think I'm smarter than you, friend, just more critical. Jurassic World 3's weakness was it's tangential and poorly written script. Giant bugs? Ian's final line to the antagonist was only saved by Goldblum's masterful delivery. The chaos/numberpad scene was a brilliant idea but totally mishandled for tension and comedy. Claire getting a rope tied around her foot felt forced, and the ensemble "recognizing eachother" dialogues were plain and uninspired, or downright socially unlikely. A genetically modified teenager living in hiding can recognise grant from the lapel of one of his books? Come on. No way.

Also, Sonic 2 was nanners. Half of it was refferences to the first half. The other half was a wedding between two non-characters that vastly overstayed it's welcome. It was practically bad on purpose.

Both movies were not fully bad, but neither was "good" in my estimation. Kind of like The Last Jedi. Nuggets of value, only, where quality should conceivably have been FAR more plentiful. Absolutely squandered, wasted opportunities, and I'm sick of being a no one who could have delivered a better final product myself.

@steventonysmith Oh my god im not saying it's an awesome movie im saying it's a good one or atleast above average. What's the problem with it? IMDB also rates movies like 5 or 4 yet the movie is well more than 9. Relax. You didn't like it i get it! Leave it at that.

Scarface or Jaws are rated both by people and critics like the best movies. I didn't like both so? That doesn't mean they are bad. I just didn't like them.
Oh got a comparison Terminator 1-2 was awesome 3 and so on were terrible ! Not the case for Jurrasic.

He has to be “blown away”. He needs to respect his contract and talk nice about the movies he stars in. I’m not saying it’s not good, but what Pratt says doesn’t mean too much really.

@iaLgan people keep hating on Terminator 3, not quite sure why, good action scenes.. maybe the plot is too similar to the second film? Otherwise I see little wrong with it.

As for Mario, who knows how it will turn out, as with everything else everyone has their own opinion.

Just awaiting the let down, the 90s film is so bad it's good in my eyes, but the Sonic films weren't too bad so here's hoping.

Terminator 3 had an impossible task of having to be as good or better than Terminator 2. While it failed at doing that it was still better than all the Terminator movies to follow

I hope Princess Peach is African American we could really do with some more diversity.

I don't have high expectations. I think at best it will be serviceable. I actually hope it's really cringeworthy/so bad it's good because it will make for legendary internet memes and fun.

I thought the only storyline that could be easily adapted into a movie was Mario + Rabbids. But I don't think that's the way they are going so now I hope it's more like the Lego movie and has fun making fun of how silly the "lore" of the Mario universe is while still paying respects to it

My 10 year old nephew will love this movie.

Lets go on an adventure where Mario tames a dinosaur. One is given the name, Yoshi and they go to beat up a giant turtle. Donkey Kong is also there, but only to sing music numbers.

to be honest I am nervous... bc I know everyone is really hyped about this, but let's all remember that FREAKING CHRIS PRATT IS MARIO

Regardless of what's going to be shown the internet is going to find something to complain about. There'll probably be petitions and YouTube trailer breakdowns and articles. Then it'll come out anyway and life will go on.

Uh guys, this is marketing. Was Chris Pratt blown away? Maybe, maybe not. But he said he was to sell the movie.

@steventonysmith Saw all the Jurassic comments and uh, I'm half convinced you're a child yourself. You had to tear apart some random comment for thinking a movie you didn't like was decent? As an adult, I'd have thought you knew what opinions were: but, that's okay if you missed that bit in school. Just because "the critics said so!" doesn't mean it's fact.

I've seen you on this site a decent amount lately and you only make negative comments, it gets a tad annoying.

I'd agree Jurassic Park 1 was the best though, after that I guess I'd say Lost World and Jurassic World. However, that's my opinion and I can see you don't care for those.

Regardless of the studio's reputation it's precisely because of the live action fiasco that Nintendo is being heavily involved this time, which is more of what we can say about the average videogame adaptation

@TopazLink Because it's not up to the fans but producers who want big names no matter how easy the movie can sell itself, Martinet is in it but with a different role so at least they have the decency to recognize how important he is to the franchise

That aside, I think Pratt's Mario voice will be generic. But I'll take it over the obnoxious, high-pitched yapping of Martinet any day of the week. Listening to him wahoo and woo ha in a game is like listening to your neighbor's little dog constant barking.

@FlyingFoxy Nice to see someone else who enjoyed Terminator 3. Is it as great as Judgement Day? No. But it's still entertaining, great chemistry with the leads. Kristanna Loken was great as a Terminator. Arnie is Arnie. Lastly, I've always appreciated that it commits to Skynet and Judgement Day. It shouldn't have surprised me when I had first watched the movie. But I remember being shocked that they actually allowed it to happen.

They just PAID him to say it, to hype the populace. Lots of film companies do it. It's probably not gonna beat Sonic the Hedgehog as best video game movie.

@steventonysmith I will admit, I don't like either one of the Jurassic World movies, but not because some review website said so, it's because I formed my own opinion. At least from what you're implying, you just hate movies just because a bunch of film critics said so. While I do enjoy Rotten Tomatoes and IMBd and even Metacritic to some extent, I don't want them to be my be-all, end-all opinion.

Well Marvel's Eternals has gotten a worse rating than Thor Dark World, but I still like Eternals more that Dark World. Don't get me wrong, I don't like either one, but I still disagree with the rating of both movies, and that's ok. So Spider-Man No Way Home got a slightly better score than Spider-Verse, but I don't care, I like Spider-Verse slightly more. Hell, I'll even say that Iron Man 3 is way better than people give if credit for.

Even if you aren't letting these review sites form your own opinion, you're still saying "ok, enjoy your terrible movies then while I watch masterpieces like the Emoji Movie" when someone else disagrees with you, which is just full-on rude, in fact, that comment towards FroZtedFlake is the only reason I even bothered replying to you.

I'm not saying you're wrong for disliking any movies that someone else enjoys. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't completely invaildate someone's opinion just because they like Lost World, or because of their goddamn profile picture.

@FlyingFoxy I like Terminator 3 for being a movie where the villain wins despite what the heroes do to stop them. It's not something you see too often in action movies, at least from what I've seen. It's not my favorite Terminator movie but I don't mind it.

Something I want is a Terminator movie that feels more like the first movie rather than the second one.
